      Good question. We enjoy the riding the XPremium the most, but not for travel (kind of big). After the suspension mod I'm enjoying traveling with the XP LITE (plus comfort seat). Melissa is riding the 3.0 standard. There are some soft spots (sand) where we are and the 3.0 does better than the XP LITE for her.

      Do you think the same suspension fork can be applied to the Lectric 3.0 e cargo xpedition? I would like that bike but concerned about impact on spine. Thinking the suspension seat and a front suspension might make it acceptable. Thank you, and I enjoyed your video.

  • @bluewolf4915

    Awesome video. I just got a Lectric trike and I want to do this. You think the size is the same?

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  11 месяцев назад +1

      It's probably worth a try, but there are some differences. The tube looks the same at 27mm. So the fork will fit. The Start Nut bolt and thread size looks larger on the Trike. So you may need to find a start nut with larger threads or use a smaller bolt. Finally, it looks like the front fender of the Trike won't fit once you put this fork on. I'm not positive about that, but you may need to modify it somehow. Hope that helps.

  • @davidrollins8474
    @davidrollins8474 7 месяцев назад +1

    Awesome upgrade. I can see why the XP Lite is you "go to" bike for travelling after your suspension upgrade. I too might opt for Lite over 3.0 as the 42 pounds is a big plus since most of my riding will require vehicle or RV transport to another location. I guess the only other big upgrade for the Lite would be the hydraulic brakes found on the 3.0. Do you find the brakes on the Lite suitable compared to 3.0 hydraulic?

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  7 месяцев назад

      The hydraulic brakes are a really nice upgrade for sure, but I've never considered them a requirement. I have yet to actually need to stop on a dime. 😃

    • @davidrollins8474
      @davidrollins8474 7 месяцев назад

      Thank for the feedback on brakes. Seems that the rotor style brakes are fine even without hydraulic. By the way, just ordered the Lite with affiliate link. I’ll try as is out of the box and later see if my riding locations require your suspension upgrade. Your video makes it look doable for a DIY change. Excited to be riding soon and not struggling to get it in the car, truck, or RV. All videos I see for Lite show how fun the bike is so anticipating the same for me too.

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  7 месяцев назад

      @@davidrollins8474Great. I think you'll appreciate how easy it is to ride without the gears. You just control everything through pedal assist. You'll want to make sure there is some slime or Flat-out in the tires. Let me know what you think when you get it 👍

  • @justmattb
    @justmattb Год назад +4

    So... with the upgraded fork, it basically brings it up to the cost of the 2.0 and not too far from the 3.0. So the real advantage is still the weight (and I have to admit, the color choices). Now that you've tried all Lectric models and upgraded the XP lite with the suspension fork, what are your thoughts on it overall in comparison to the others? I'm trying to figure out what would work best, knowing that weight and size are both considerations when traveling via RV. I'm also 6'2" and 235 lbs... so there's that. ;-)

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  Год назад +1

      The dimensions on the LITE are smaller. So you may be more comfortable with the 3.0 or premium. I'm 5-9 and 170lbs. For travel it's hard to beat the XP LITE for compactness and function. I traveled with the LITE this year in Mexico. For longer rides above 10 miles or so, the 3.0 or XPremium will be more comfortable. My wife prefers the XP 3.0 for traveling but she'd really like to bring the XPremium which I don't think travels well (as the person who has to do all the heavy lifting). So right now, my goto bike for RVing is the modified XP LITE. It's pretty fun and simple (no transmission). Hope that helps.

    Interesting what the difference in fork tube and axle offset degrees makes in the safe handling of the bike?
    For your young age this seems like a huge mismatch on what you should be riding, not much better than a mobility scooter.
    I would think both of you would have way more fun on something like an Orbea Rise M20 , Trek eXE Fuel, or Specialized Turbo Levo.

      @@RVwithTito I can tell. You're already modifying the Lectric, I still own the three hundred dollar mountain bike that has 2k in upgrades so I know where this leads.
      There are lots of places that will rent you a real mountain bike either powered or not. Or even include a tour. Stay in Bend Oregon and ride with Cog Wild tours. Definitely bucket worthy.

      I love it when people watch a video about an $800-$1,000 product then say we'll you'd have more fun on ____ which is 2-3xs more expensive. 🥴

      @@crgirl3388 riding a real E mountain bike on trails not open to that class 3 Ebike is more fun.

      @@arthurcutting9227you’re doing real mountain biking, we’re doing trail riding, just for shits and giggles. Nothing technical or challenging. Don’t need to rent a real mountain bike for pavement and trails.
