Use the Lack table to make a bench!
It holds weight very well and they're extremely sturdy...

I love it because nothing here is permanent you can switch up the pillow cases any time, the cushion you can rewrap in any fabric and change the color of the tables and customize it to your hearts content!!

For the people asking about the table she’s using, it is no longer being made at ikea!! I talked to one of the workers when I went on Saturday.. I found mine today on Offer Up! And they were calling it a “kidney bean” table.. hopefully this helps a bit

We've done the same, but we tied them together with tie-wraps cause kids don't sit still and sometimes keep wiggling so they would eventually fall. Much safer with the wraps.
That’s a good idea... I didn’t need to tie because they fit perfectly into the space so they don’t move around ... but this is helpful for those w open space !

I got it from IKEA but its been discontinued - try looking up kidney bean table - I never find a good match that isn't a coffee table keep in mind if you at least find the shape and size switch out the legs !

Ok it's years later....soooo many years lol.... but im doing this and I was able to find the glass galant kidney bean desk version of the table. Problem is the legs are slanted.... so my question is does your table have legs you individually put on or is there a frame under it and the legs go into the frame???

holds up extremely well... I've had this set up for about 7 years and I've had extremely heavy people sit on it, one or multiple never collapsed
Omg thank you soooo much i want a corner nook kitchen table but the ones I’m interested in are a thousand and change I’m humongous and so is my family but I’m going to give it a try maybe i can find sturdier tables but the wood underneath the cushions probably help distribute the weight that’s so much
I have had several people sit on them at once and I’ve had them for about 6 years and they’ve held up pretty well ! And I love that they’re really big so u can put cushions and still have plenty of sit space .... but I’m sure you can apply the concept to any table you find or even wooden benches and make the cushion for I️t ! What is the weight limit on these small table a.k.a the sitting chair
How does it hold up with adults sitting on them? The website says they have a max. of 25kg they can hold.
Very well esp with the board on top from the cushions had them longer then this video n my husband weighs over 200 lbs n sits on the same corner everytime never had one collapse

Glad I could help !!!! The pillows are from Ikea too ! I think they’re $3 a piece and then I picked out their pillow covers that range maybe $5 and up

It looked like she used a plywood base for the cushion piece which would distribute weight and probably be sufficient for adult seating.

I know I’m awfully late. But, how would you say your benches held up for sitting. I’m looking at doing something like this. However, we will use the it everyday and scared to go this route.
