Chaka Khan had the greatest impact on female R&B singers through today. Incredible voice and incredible songs.
I agree 100% with you 🔥💃🎼❤️
Prince worshipped her, he said she was his muse. He wrote I Feel For You for her, they performed together, he just loved her. I grew up listening to her, everyone loves her
1983!! Oh man!!! I love this song!!! Chaka Kahn is a Queen of R&B. She is one of a kind and a national treasure.
Whitney has named Chaka as one of her influences, and of course Whitney remade "I'm every woman, in homage to Chaka and that song.
omg really? and what? 😁😁😁
Whitney and Chaka were very close friends up until Whitney Death
Yes indeed! I was 16 when Chaka Khan released "I'm Every Woman". Loved that song. Still do. In 1992, Whitney did a great remake...but, then again, who would expect any less from her? ❤❤❤
Chaka Khan was about to quit with the record company that signed her because she had enough, but the CEO told her to do one (or a couple of) more song(s). And strangely enough, Ain't Nobody was the best song she ever made.
Chaka Khan was part of the good Rufus and they had a ton of bangers from the 70s. Tell Me Something Good, Do You Love What You Feel, Everlasting Love, Sweet Thing and Once You Get Started just to name a few!
Chaka Kahn is one of the underrated voices of 80’s music.
But for those that were there…we knew exactly how talented she was..we paid homage by grooving to her songs in the clubs every weekend 😂
Chaka Khan is not underrated 😂
EXACTLY 😆@@CeliniacForLife
Not just the 80s, all time!!!!
Check out her songs with the band RUFUS. "TELL ME SOMETHIN' GOOD and "YOU'VE GOT THE LOVE", were hits of the 70s. "NIGHTS IN TUNISIA" is another great song of hers.
This song IS by “Rufus featuring Chaka Khan”.
Sorry you were not around in the late 80's when Dance Clubs RULED and this was Must Play Music!!! MAGIC!!! Smiles and Goose Bumps every time I hear it!
Ooooo, A Night in Tunisia!
Ooooo, A Night in Tunisia!
here in Brazil, Chaka Khan's biggest hit was "I feel for you", it's worth listening to...
She had SO many hits. She's won Grammy's , etc. She's a living legend.
Yessss
Yes
When Chaka Khan came to Korea to do a USO tour I was stationed at Kusan AB, I was her security person went everywhere with her until she left. Great concert, wonderful person..
Chaka's "Through The Fire" is a ballad you both should listen to. It will blow you away.
LOVVVE that song!!!
I'm 54 years old and this will always be my all time favorite song, I listen to it like everyday and I never get tired of it!!💋
My favorite female singer ever. Her powerful, soulful, and sultry voice gives you goosebumps. And...we share the same birthday. Yay! 🌞
gotta do Chaka's "I feel for you" and "I'm every woman"
Great choices Peter,. Great choices 😊.
This music compliments her voice this lady to be tiny has one of the biggest beautiful impeccable voices ever❤♥️💯Love her
You know how a song will take you back. This takes me back to an exciting time... being young, out in the world for the first time (age 19 - I'm 57 now), falling in love for the first time. So many great things were happening when this song came out and it gives me such a feeling of nostalgia.
That’s so cool
From her breakout with Rufus, till today. I’ve never come across anyone who doesn’t love or respect her talent and her music. Her appeal is vast. Keep mining her stuff, it’s all good.👌
Chaka Khan was the chit, she had the voice, the beauty, the body and the stage presence
of a star. When she was on stage she owned it and we all loved her men and women.
My older brother was in love with her so I had to see her for myself. She’s still standing
in this wicked industry.
Seeing her live is incredible 😍 ❤ 🤠
Chaka Khan's "I feel for you" is originally a Prince song.
Claude Nougaro was influenced by "Ain't nobody" when he wrote "Lady Liberty". The overall production of this song (feat Nile Rodgrs from Chic) is insane. He's even calling her for help in the song "Rhythm' flouze".
Chaka Khan is an icon and true living Legend. This song is actually Rufus featuring Chaka Khan.
You should listen to "Tell Me Something Good" its very early Chaka Khan 1974. It's funky! Asia..I'm sure your Mother being a fan of hers loves that one.
Man this song brings back so many good memories. This song was responsible for so many impromptu parking lot dance sessions on a Friday and Saturday night it's crazy. And it still make me wanna dance all these years later.
One of the most badass female singers ever!! I've been loving her from the getgo... phew... long damn time
Chaka Kahn is an amazing artist, she is Iconic and the multi awards show it . AWESOME SONG. Thank you Asia and BJ ❤️
Chaka Khan, what a voice. I just love her tone and range, so much soul to her.
I had a crush on her back in the day, (still do), a fine woman 💜
BJ had it right - She's a QUEEN! 🤩
Please do more!! Please 🙏🏻
🌟"I Feel For You" (written by Prince for her)
🌟"Tell Me Something Good" w/Rufus
🌟"I'm Every Woman"
🌟"Sweet Thing" w/Rufus
🌟"Through The Fire"
Did you know that Tell me Something Good was written by Stevie Wonder?
@@kasper7250 I sure do!! It's so VERY Stevie!!
That opening baseline is positively VICIOUS 🔥
It’s in 9/8 time, which is sick. 🌈💕✨
Chaka is the queen! "Sweet Thing" is my favorite Chaka song. Actually, one of my top 3 favorite songs ever! Mary J. Blige has a beautiful version as well.
My all time favorite. You don't have any idea how famous this Song is.
I'm an 80s child! This is my favorite song from her. I loved the movie from the 80s titled "Breakin'". This was the song from the "Love connection scene". Song is amazing ...her voice is amazimg..she is amazing...loved the movie. "I FEEL FOR YOU" is another fav. It was written by Prince but also, the video had the cast of the movie "Breakin" doin their thing in the video. Love the 80s
One of my favorite all-time songs!
I love Jays reactions as the song was wrapping up, my exact reaction to this song too
Honey, it was a pleasure listening to one of my favorite Chaka Khan tunes while looking at your wonderful smile. Asia, you have it. A beautiful smile. Thanks.
The beat of this song is sensational.. paired with the vocals *claps*
Chaka and Luther have a video together singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, it is 🤯
My all-time favorite R&B song. The music and the rhythm and the singing together make this song a masterpiece. A love song and a dance song in one.
August '83.......wow.....incredible memories of this song. My favorite Chaka song
Listen, I fucking love Chaka Khan period!! This woman is everything! I’m 54 years old, I grew up, listening to her I have a 15-year-old daughter, and she knows all of her music because I listen to Chaka Khan so much. By the way, when she was little, her pediatrician was Dr. Khan. And my daughter used to call her Chaka Khan. She loved that she used to laugh whenever she called her Chaka Khan.
I Love this Song and I Love Chaka !👍🏽😎💋🌺❤️💙🔥👑
This is a song that every generation would love. If you don't like this music, you don't have a heart
Yes!!! My favorite Chaka song! 😁❤️
I was in boot camp when I first heard this song. It had just been released. I had guard watch one night in August 1983 and 1st time hearing it thru the drill instructors door in the barracks in San Diego CA. Drill instructor had the radio on. I knew it was chaka khan before the song ended but the dj hadn't verified it yet. I Was already a fan after Tell me something good. Ain't nobody was written by David Hawk Wolinzky and was on the last Rufus featuring Chaka khan live album. It's still holds incredible after all this time. Not about hate and killing like what you hear now. The new music today can't hold a candle to the 70s and 80s music. Just saying 😌
Today's Music can't hold nothin 2 the back n the day music. REAL REAL MUSIC!!!! Music 🎶🎶 that made u Think b4 doin dumb Mess.
Her band is probably one of the best bands you could ever have that's who put everything together
First heard this song in the film Breakin' as a young teenager. Immediately bought the soundtrack on cassette. Loving this song ever since.
Chaka Khan is a soul legend! 👩🎤 She is a friend of the late Aretha Franklin and Patti Labelle. CK influenced the late Whitney Houston.
The improv, the belts! 🤯
Strongly suggested videos 💪
1 I Feel for You. Written by Prince. Harmonica sample of Stevie Wonder. Rap by Melle Mel.

Black Box (group)
(Song) Everybody Everybody
was another great dance song from 1990.
Chaka has been my girl since I was a kid and now she's my Empress. Still gives me chills.
I feel old, this is my #1 song and I thought everyone heard this song. Outstanding.
Absolutely love this song and have since the first time I've heard it in 1983.
One of my favorite ladies ever!
Tell Me Something Good Live
That’s the jam! Groove Tune 🎶🌸✌️🌸
This tracks is iconic and holds its own !
Chaka, 5 decades. Windy city girl. Confession: never missed a live show. Me & my lady have front row center seats. I bought Chaka a dozen roses to give to her. My lady saw them in the back seat and said " Aww , thank you".( What could I say). I had to buy twelve single roses from a vendor. My woman asked do you want Chaka? I said no , this is complementary to her work. I still have that picture of Chaka on stage with my rose's.
This would have us all heading to the dance floor to get those hips swaying , smiling smiling smiling , if you don’t feel it get to the drs
Great song by the queen chaka khan dope reaction her songs tell me something good and i feel for you are some great ones as well
Love Chaka Khans voice. You should hear her little sister Taka Boom sing in the group The Undisputed Truth's big hit You+Me=Love.
Great dance song, many memories from this one. Her voice is fantastic, great story telling at the same time. She is fun to watch perform.
Can't beat old school music.love your guys vibe and reactions.big shout out from New Zealand
What a track heard a female singer at a local bar in UK sing this she absolutely smashed it out the park. She had whole bar rocking and singing fantastic the vibe those vocals, it has no peers 😬😬
Love this one! I had it on vinyl!
I can remember this song from the soundtrack for the movie “Breakdance”, although I think it was called Breakin’ in the US in the early 80’s (‘84 if I recall correctly). It was the movie that had a scene that featured a very young Jean Claude Van Damme, but you had to look very carefully to spot him ☝️😄. Chaka is a soul legend & this is one of her best ever songs ✊️😄
I loved that movie.
The sequell too.
Wasn't that the answer to Flash Dance
Yes I remember Van Damme in the movie and in particular those tight Lycra bike shorts he was wearing 😍😜🤤😂
I've always loved the storytelling style of this song.
The lyrics are one phrase at a time...this happened, and then this happened, and then this.
She makes me smile too Asia when she sings
No one could ever cover this.Incredible.
God, I love her! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Yeah man! This is one of my favs of all time. Love Chaka!
My all time favorite song of hers! Great choice. ❤❤

Old school BANGER...and drop-dead gorgeous (still is)
Legendary Chaka Khan. Also love “At Midnight (My Love Will Lift You Up).” Same vibe.
My favorite song by her.
I can't believe you never heard this song before because it still gets airplay today. Its from the film breakdance .This was one of the most popular RnB songs of all 80s and was played in the clubs from years.
I'm Every Woman, I Feel For You, Tell Me Something Good, etc. SO many great songs by the Khan. Get it!
The best R&B female singer out there, just waiting for her to get lose...still, after all these years, brings tears to my eyes
Heres a suggestion for you, "gotta be there" a remake of the Jackson five hit. Chaka shows her true vocal talents there... You'll be out of your seat, I promise!!!
Correction, the song is "got to be there"
Chaka had a gig in bonn/ germany and stayed at hotel were I was as a waiter, signed my cd booklet from the Album I feeling for you…priceless memories🇪🇸👍🎼🎙
Song still gives me chills
Chaka's best moment was fronting the 70's band Rufus, on their original album version of Stevie Wonder's TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD.
"I Feel For You".... killer song...
this is and will be forever an all time banger
Love this song. Superb. Chaka new what was up.
Brings back the Club memories. Good times!
Chaka is definitely a Queen of music!
This is my jammmm!!!!!!! My mom got me on Chaka Khan!!!!! The Empress of R&B!!!
Yasssss... Chaka is the Funk Queen!
You should have been in the club scene in the Village NYC circa 1976-1982. Paradise Garage and Larry Levan the Godfather of ALL TODAY'S DJs. All of them wanted to play like Larry. The Garage had speakers designed by Larry and Richard Long (R.I.P. for both of them) Larry had an ear and knew just where to place them. Honey, this song. Those speakers O.M.G The bass went through your whole body like a heartbeat and those speakers did justice to this song. Sorry for the seque, just listening to this song brings me back to those days when I was so young and dancing 12pm to 12am at the Paradise Garage
you guys need to hear the " disco version " it's even better I know for a fact because me and hubby use to win meany dance contest because of this. thank you taking me down memory lane....!!!! Sharon from Fla.
Wow you've actually reacted to it,over the years i have loved soo many songs where you just play them over and over untill you get sick of them for a while and give them a break but out of all the songs it's ain't nobody that i for some reason can't get fed up with hearing,it is such a well put together track and it all fits perfectly from the rolly bass to the electric guitar and keyboards and then Chaka Khan, this is my song because of that reason and it doesn't seem to age at all, absolutely love it soo much, isn't it amazing what humans can do,genius❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥,i feel for you with the legend grandmaster melle mel and through the fire were also classic ❤️🏴
Chaka Khan the lady with a extra set of lungs a great singer and yes she very easy on the eyes
This is one of her best songs....the other "Through the fire".
The first time I had the fortune to see Chaka Khan she was only about 19 - this song was not part of her arsenal - and I was lucky to see her do her first tour - standing just a few feet from the revolving stage at the Circle Star Theatre. Her band Rufus was totally on spot, her voice was so soulful, smooth and pierced the air. It was easy to see why she has since had a stellar career - and I'm also not surprised she can sing the song book in many musical genres.
Rufus at the Circle Star? How did I miss that one? Chaka must have been amazing there
You should also watch the video for this. Her dances are awesome too.
First time I’m seeing these two, and I must say Asia is beautiful! Her smile, the dimples and those eyes! She’s giving me Angela Bassett vibes.
Sweet like sugar ....is a great song by her ,came out in 2019 ...she's still got it :)
The man who wrote this song is called Hawk Wolinski. I met him a few times back in the late 90s/early 00s. He is a lot of fun!
