If you want to have a way to keep the pump from running, run its power wiring thru relay actuated via the low fluid sensor that turns on the LEDs that you already have installed. Easy to add and cheap (get the relays online or at Radio Shack, NOT autozone, o'reillys, etc. they are a good 40% more for some reason.
I feeel engine better, of course you do, water ins not compressible, and so you increase the compression in engine, better use another psiton do a better job..and you dont rust. also water will create calcium on the valves... good luck
@@lkkjhtemmexv1838 what are you talking about? What is isn? Where you said "water ins not compressable" did you mean "water in itself"? Whats a pstin? Where you said "use another pstin"? Did you mean piston? Whats that got to do with anything? And what does a piston have to do with reducing detonation or what are you talking about rust or a better job? The methanol in the water/meth mixture you make or the methanol in the washer fluid you use would have more of a corrosive effect than water also a piston doesn't rust, its aluminum so I'm assuming you mean the piston rungs or cylinders? Well whatever you mean none of it would cause rust on the piston, rings or cylinders because it would all burn in combustion anyway and youd be more likely to get corrosion in the engine from moisture in the air from night time dew, rain, or humidity while the car is parked and thats a rare occasion when a engine sits for a while because it hasnt been ran in a while and it definitely wouldnt happen with a running engine because the heat inside the engine will evaporate any moisture and if there was any rust it would be simply cleaned away by the movement of the piston travel against the cylinder wall within the first five seconds
@@lkkjhtemmexv1838 do you even know what hes doing? This is for a water/methanol injection or straight methanol or ethanol injection to run on a gasoline engine for either a high compression engine, nitrous engine or a turbo/supercharged engine to reduce detonation and to run pump gas instead of race gas or a/v fuel (aviation fuel or air plane gas its around 100 octane and is oxygenated which I doubt you would understand what oxygenated fuel does but its added to some race fuels because it has a similar effect to if you were to install better induction like a cold air intake/hood scoop, bigger throttle body/carb, aftermarket or ported intake and heads that gives the engine more oxygen by putting more air in it but this gives it more oxygen by adding it thru the fuel)
@@lkkjhtemmexv1838 hes feeling the car making more power because methanol makes more power than gas... just methanol alone adds power not to mention the power you'll get from running more timing and the benefits and extra power youll get of a cooler running engine like I used to have a car that had a methanol carb system and I could make 2-3 passes at the drag strip before I had to worry about turning on the fans and electric water pump, it would generare condensation outside the intake and when the engine was cool you could feel the intake and it would feel cold like the alcohol was making it cold and ive actually seen frost on the intake during cool weather. but back to powrr they Say its good for about 50 horsepower on a typical 400-450 horsepower small block when going from gas to methanol... Now I'm talking about a race engine running on alcohol fuel, not a gas burner with a meth/water injection I dont know what kind of power it adds then but it would allow you to run more timing which is horsepower/torque all in itself and a system that just methanol injection you may make even more power especially if running a race gas that has additives such as oxygenation and other things to enhance the effects of the methanol especially if running a fuel like VP brand's "M5" methanol which they claim to make about 5-10 percent more power than VP brand's standard "M1" methanol fuel in a methanol engine Which methanol is similar to a very high octane gas I guess if methanol had octane it would be like 120ish octane its highly oxygenated which allows more fuel to be burned which of course makes more power, which is why more air flow like a intake upgrade makes power is it allows more fuel to burn so oxygenated race gas, av fuel, nitro and methanol has the same effect as more air flow does it works kinda the same as nitrous does its kinda like putting nitrous in your gas tank and has other ingredients to create power But methanol costs about half the price of race gas because it's not a oil base fuel its actually made from distilled wood alcohol or less commonly made from natural gas but you burn twice as much than gas
I voted down for the music ,muted it ,and watched....I then voted up for the clarity and completeness of the show.....i guy can change his mind....good job.....I'll use it for MPG gains ,no hot-rodder here..........
+perdaniel99 Nope, no voice in video. When I slowed video to half-speed, the music sure didn't match! lol. Tranced-out. Couldn't follow build. I, too, had to turn the "music" off.
just go to junkyard and get one out if a benz,cadi,bmw...5 bucks and u can pick one to fit...I have a pushbutton Hurst shift handle a tank and pump from a 450 junkyard benz..you can go to speedshop and get nozzle for intake tube..get 3-4 different psi tips with filters...I put mini green light on dash w on,off switch and separate white light to button on handle so white is only on when I hit switch...benz pump is strong,,never seen one replaced !!but these guys do a great job.!!... either way its a boost..fun one.
Thanks for the information it should provide useful to others watching the video. I also added a dash light that activates when the system is on and flashes when the liquids are low...
I made an even cheaper version of this that relies on the compressor to atomize the mixture. it works great for my setup! I'm sure some setups will spin the compressor too fast causing cavitation and wheel damage, but mine has been working fine all year with little to no wear on the compressor wheel!
slidestang242 thats true, results may vary as with any MOD but this has been used for many years in many vehicle types. Mine is also still working fine...
too much methanol in your fuel system will eat aluminum parts, alky fuels are around 115-118 octane, which means you can go way higher in compression ratios like 14 to 1 the alky BTU,s are half of gasoline which on average is 18,000 btu,s,so you use twice as much fuel, so called water injection systems just basically steam clean your combustion chamber from carbon deposits that cause pre ignition
jeje my fav guitar is in that case I was also maintaining it a bite before we started the video :) don't worry no guitar or guitar cases were harmed in the making of this video
Hi you should get better mpg on a modern car which corrects itself for fuel mixtures. better if you actually tune for the mix and you may also gain a few WHP check out this video for a bit more information on my installation ruclips.net/video/o1GbeBVwiR4/видео.html
There's a couple things wrong with this idea compressors will erode overtime something at 200000 RPM plus hitting any type of water vapor just doesn't work out well overtime. The second thing is if you have an intercooler after it's gone through the compressor it's evaporated or at least that's the idea but once it goes into your intercooler it will recondense unless you have insanely high intake temps in a very dry climate. Also a 50-50 mix of alcohol and water methanol has a very high flash point far as it dripping down your exhaust out of the filter. I personally run a water meth kit and I buy my methanol pure mix it 45 55 and it's not flammable only on a really hot day and the fumes will barely light. so FYI keep that in mind 50/50 mix is really not that flammable it's barely lights and is a very cool Flame. that's the whole point of the water methanol make a whole bunch of heat/fire and water methanol puts it out so you don't blow up your car. I personally have tried this with my friends on cars with big turbo and no intercoolers and never had a problem but on something that's driven daily I wouldn't do it.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand the risks. This is not a daily but still I have had no issues to date, maybe in 10 years but by then I may have changed this setup.... You have good points that hopefully help some in their proyect. I appreciate when positive feedback with good info is left. Thank you
You say you recommend to inject "pre-charger" on forced induction, this is a bad idea due to the intercooler condensing the water in the mix, intercoolers are 99% of the time lower than the inlet meaning the condensed liquid building up. Good luck with pre turbo injection, just saying.
On a supercharger; injecting pre charger is ideal because you dont have to compensate for boost with hugher pressure in the injection system and tye water will help fill the tolerances in the screws/vanes in the supercharger meaning a lower intake temp per psi as efficiency is increased and usually a mildly higher peak boost on the same pulley. I do understand your concern with pre turbo/intercooler setups though.
I would of had it after the throttle body. Its hard to compress water and itll slow down your compressor wheel and probably remove any lubrication. Injecting as close to the cylinders as possible will cool down your turbo comming out and will keep your EGT low so you can stay under high boost for longer periods without over heating your plugs and end up with preignition on the main road. Concept in progress..
This little kit does a good job as is but as I mentioned it is not the "only" way to set this up. Depending on your setup you can go about a few different ways... this is just a basic idea that worked for my specific situation. Thanks for the feedback :)
nice video. i inspired feom this and i build an intercooler spray, but i lose all the water because of gravity. the tank is higher from the nozzle. any suggestions? thanks for sharing.
There is a inline bypass valve but if you are using a wiper pump you need to check if it has enough pressure to open the valve that will make it so that there is no water going thru unless there is pressure. I used one in my W/M kit here is the vid on that ruclips.net/video/qnBDVe3S0g4/видео.html good luck
It only runs after 3k RPM and I usually just cruise around so it does last, however its just water so its quick and easy to refill. thanks for the feedback
you can use the windshield wiper pump if you are using it in a NA car but if you are using FI unless you are running real low boost you will most likely need a better pump. Still cheaper than getting the whole kit and if you search in google you will find other pumps people have used and have worked. Also a boost activated switch they are cheap on eBay this will allow you to set the pump to start at your desired PSI you can also use an RPM switch.
DiFuXioN If you had an NA car would you just use an rpm switch? Also I'm assuming for a low powered na car its only two uses would be cooler/consistent temps if you were to track a stock car (or cooling system isnt efficient enough for track use) and to steam clean the internals of the engine?
ScootersMum1 Yeah in NA you can use the RPM switch. as for uses it would be kind of like adding a higher octane fuel to your car which if it a modern car the ECU will adjust automatically for the better fuel and in turn should give you better fuel economy and the car should run noticeably better. if you have an older car or carbureted car tuning will be necessary. as for cooling effects what this basically does is make the explosion cleaner which prevent knocking and lets the engine change degrees (timing) better making the engine run smoother.
Jesus Alberto Hi, in my setup the sensor is after the intercooler so this does not reach that point, it disipates in the intercooler. If you are setting up NA or different boost setup keep in mind where you place something like this...
dude i like the video but wish you would do a voice over. it much better than the music and subtitles .. it hard to fallow though out the video. and what is the size of the hole you made at the bottom of the tank? i have a fluid level sensor that is busted and can't find a replacement for it. maybe the one you install would fit for it... btw a small relay would help shutting down the pump when the fluid is empty.
I will first answer your questions: The hole was for the level sensor I found one generic in autozone it was a bit big but it did the job so I used that, here at least I was able to have them show me a few of what they had at the store and I selected from that... The relay is a good idea but I did not do something for when its empty because it does not affect the AFR so it does not really matter, I did attach it to the fluid level of the other AEM kit so that when the level was low the light flashes and then I just add any water to it since this is just a cool down system for me (no meth in the mix). now about the music and subttles: Hi, yes there is a lot of feedback on music. I am limited to youtube approved music (to avoid flagged videos) but I am currently working on a voiced over updated version of this video which should be uploaded shortly and I am also re-doing the FRS BRZ GT86 Spark Plug change DIY from scratch and uploading soon Thanks to all for your feedback
Actually that would also work, this video just shows a basic idea for people who are interested, to use in their own project if they would so like to. Thanks for watching :)
Hi, the water usually can be 50%, 75% (25%water) or it can be 100% ethanol. You need to test, Dyno and a gauge to check mixture will help and tweek from there. I settled on 75% for my car. I also used the smallest nozzle from the kit which worked best for me. Each nozzle has a number and a recomended HP target to start from there. I hope that helps
@@RIDHOKOIKITA yes, you usually get 2 or 3 nozzles with a description in the manual recommending how much HP each can handle at least that is what came in mine
dude, no need for the useless panning across the engine bay...might be ok if it was actually smooth, or shot well in general. keep it simple man, no need for the artsy filming with an instructional video. and if you are going to take the time to make some motion graphics, you should probably get a mic and think out your shots before just filming whatever. maybe cut out all the useless clips (eg. fitting the level sensor). these are just points to help u improve your videos & to help people to be able to follow along, please do not take offense
its not a single thing that fixed the issues I was trying to get but a mix of a few fixed I did and this was one of them. it does work for what I am using it, but as I mention in the video if you are going to use it be sure to get a proper pump for your needs the tank can be anything even a Gatorade bottle but the pump and the start system or switch are very important New version with proper voice over, thanks ruclips.net/video/fYqAPx6fhmc/видео.html
JEJE I'll have to try and see, I suppose you need to drink some beers before for better fuel octane and more HP in any case I did not do this for HP I did it to lower the temp in the charger for that it has worked pretty well until the water eats off the blades or something
i have a 2013 cadillac cts coupe that is not turbo charged. would this still help even if i dont have a turbo charger? and wouldnt this damage the internals of the engine since water is getting into the combustion chamber?
Hi spraying water into an engine will not damage it. this technique has been used since wwii (in airplanes) I believe and is proven to work on all cars. on NA cars you may not feel a huge difference thought you would have to test to see, it would be kind of like using high octane fuel but the mixture regular fuel with alcohol/water injection will be cheaper. this kit is cheap and will help you test without wasting too much money on something that you did not like after testing and if you like it you can keep using it as is. also keep in mind you should use a mixture of water and alcohol not just water. to test use heet or winter wiper fluid that will be cheaper then if it works get a larger canister of alcohol. hope that helps
+Gayan W I get a lot of feedback on this music, some good some bad. Please keep in mind RUclips limits my music selection and if I choose wrong they will flag or block my videos (in some countries). I choose indie or royalty free music to avoid this. This sometimes brings mixed feedback on the music. I try to avoid subbed only videos and at some point I may end up re-booting this video with a proper voice over if I get some free time. In any case thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching (or trying)
+Gayan W Thanks I will keep your feedback in mind. Also Please keep in mind this is an older video and new videos have voiceovers mostly and also for this video I have in my plans to do a reboot with a proper voice over as well and also include new/recent info on how it has been holding up in my car... Thanks again
kazeem mustapha can't say since I have never used it like that... check if you generator can use ethanol or methanol before using, other than that its very cheap to make if you want to try....
+Patrick Dunnigan jr Hi, You should be able to get something like this from your local speed shop or race shop. Best bet is using eBay or Amazon. Thanks
Hi, this is the older version of this video. It has since been rebooted and I have been told it is now much better. Please visit here: ruclips.net/video/fYqAPx6fhmc/видео.html Thank You
you can do it but if you do it, this may damage the fins after years of use. as with any mod there are always things to consider... but it does work I use water on the charger and ethanol in the intake, I have had no issues and it does what I intended it to do (cooler charger) because the FRS charger with no oil return runs hot. I am planning on sending the charger to upgrade and use oil from the engine (like a turbo) which will help it run cooler (hopefully) in any case that may be more if an answer than you wanted but I thought I should mention it. thanks for watching
Hi, yes its an FRS. Sorry but I do t get the question what do you mean signal from ecu? A code? If its that then there is no code for this and you can turn codes off in tune so if anythibg pops up it can be cleard and if you tune you may need to. Anyway there is a new version of this video same content but I fixed the music and did voice over... new version with voice over and other music ruclips.net/video/fYqAPx6fhmc/видео.html&t=0s
also, is this supposed to lower under hood temps? or overall IAT's somehow? afaik, pre-turbo injection will almost never need a tune, as the gains are minimal if any. more to keep temp lower, but not to gain power if you get what im saying. any before/after logs?
remember its a very fine mist not enough to damage it quickly. after years maybe but not an ammount that can break it quickly. keep in mind this "tecnology" has been used for many years in fighter planes and cars so it is proven already. as with any MOD you need to consider pros and cons and make a choice knowing what may or may not happen. I know a lot of people here who use it since there is no easy way to get high quality fuel. for example there are places that sell 100oct fuel from the pump here 93 is the most I can get and not really good quality so we have to use alternatives, larger injectors may work but the FRS is direct injeccion and when I did this they where not made yet. I am happy with it and it works fine and it has an added benefit it saves fuel (I have another a video about the fuel savings)
Hi, yes there is a lot of feedback on music.
I am going to do a basic voice over with a simple background music. I search for more popular tracks in the youtube library and will use something that may be more to the liking of more viewers. I am also going to make another video later on with more details of how this has been working and an upgrade I am planning for the whole system Thanks
Ok you got me lost and confused about the title and the video. In the video your talking about tuning and cooling systems and turbocharged and really didn’t make any sense on installing the water tank. Your title states one thing and your vid is another thing. Try to keep your video in tact with your title on installing the universal washer kit and skip the unnecessary cooling system thing.
+lSairexl Yeah, this kit I set to the SC air filter but it has the smallest nozzle that was available and the sensor(s) are so far away that by the time water reaches the intercooler (which is also before the sensor) its pretty much dissipated. So I don't get any warnings or errors and such. Still good point to consider the location of any water injection kit... My "main" WI kit that uses a 50/50 mix with the medium nozzle is close to the throttle. keep in mind for me this was just an "extra" mod to cool the charger, so in my case I just run some of filtered water thru it.
DiFuXioN yeah I dont wanna mess up any sensors on my S60R so I think I'll do it after the filter post MAF and pre-turbo. that should do the trick and the accessibility would be also great. Thanks
Yeah planning for that will help reliability and help avoid issues down the road. I am one of those that think the main kit should go closer to the throttle for me this is an extra addition so I used it pre-sc and as I mentioned with the setup I have water should not reach the sensors. You are welcome :)
For something like this the smallest 250 should be enough here is a link to something that can help as an example rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173032906169
Honestly if you can't figure out how to wire your level sensor in with the pump to turn it off, I dunno if you should be posting vids like this.. it should be obvious. Rest isn't bad info tho..but cmonnn!
Glad to hear, your level switch goes continuous when triggered thus making it easy to control things, e.g.. the LED, an ecu switch for an alternate tune and/or killing the pump, good to see you got it figured out. My concern is, I work in vehicles on a daily basis specifically on the electrical. Wires twisted together or even crimp connected will NOT last. Too many people mess around with automotive electrical and it can be very dangerous, I see all too often things wired without fuses or relays or wires twisted together. In the time it took you to twist those wires together with pliers, you could have slid on heat shrink tubing, bell connected and soldered and then sealed with the shrink. It's not slower or more difficult. You should also let people know to use a fuse as close to the battery as possible. Thanks for not replying with "f*k you" or similar - we can all benefit from knowledge and improvement, of course that's why you made this in the first place :)
IdealSound & Performance : Mobile Hi, there are fuses and relays in both kits visible in the original fuse box (or added to) I tend to add a fuse to what ever electronic I add even if I am already conecting to an existing fuse. This kit also has a fuse inside the stock fuse box, one of those adapters that make one fuse into two. I also have that for the radio and other interior stuff added... About my reply if someone adds something I think ofensive I just remove it or dont approve the comment, thankfully that is very rare to happen. I definitley think if you want to do a better job on your project by all means go ahead I understand the danger and never say do this like this, instead I just show how I did it, I still do the wire twist I have a trick use long lead and spit then tie, tape and shrink wrap, until now never had an issue. I like comments that give insight or opinions. Some people just troll but some also give interesting feedback and such. Thank you
Jordan Berry *Hi, I try to do the best with the tools I have at hand. There is an updated remake of this video with propper voice over.. Thanks for watching
+Bruce Micallef I know that is why I have a proper kit post turbo a few inches away from the throttle this for me is just a way of cooling down the supercharger and it has worked out and for this the simple pump works. If I was going to use it post-charger then the simple pump would not work since the boost will push back. Thanks for the feedback
+Jay d I am planning on getting this kit for another project maybe that will help, it's at a good price :) www.ebay.com/itm/301296495101?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Here are the specs for this other kit: Trico 11-102 Replacement Windshield Wiper Washer Fluid Spay Pump Kit - This kit includes reservoir tank, wiper washer pump (installed in tank), and hardware. This is a universal kit that will work on any 12v system. The 48oz (approximately 1/3rd gallon) reservoir tank is designed to fit in the space the original tank occupied and fits the vast majority of vehicles with no space issues. This is an OE-quality product, but is not an exact OE match since its a universal replacement kit. Basic/Average mechanical ability required.
I see others thought the f** music sucked too, but I dare you to try and read your scrips in real time. You'd burn out your tongue! I quit; will learn somewhere else.
I know the music will not be to the liking of everyone but RUclips is very strict with what music can be used and when I edit I select music that complies with RUclips. There is not much I can do there I have had a few videos "banned" in certain countries because of the music and RUclips offers some "replacement" audio which is not always good and has to be used over the whole video so if there is dialogue or something it would be replaced. So please if you find the video is good or usefull but don't like the music remember this point. Thanks For Watching
Matt Watkinson Yeah I thought about doing a voice over, even did a script but in the end it would have taken me more time to complete so I just took the script and converted it to annotations :) I think it still conveys the point and is detailed enough to help others. I also cut out some basic stuff which I thought where easy things to figure out. Thanks you for viewing and thanks for the comment :)
+Hassan Eido Pre-charger has been used for many years, to the moment I have had no issues with my supercharger. This is only an example of something I did, I am not recommending it and if you want something that really works you may want to look into a proper kit. But still this does work depending of course of the application. Thanks for the feedback
Hi, thanks for the feedback. As I have said on many other videos this is my style of work for my own projects. If you have better know how please use it in your own project to make them better. Best Rgds
what gains have you gotten from your system not flaming but logic and knowing how a proper system operates says yours should do nothing but clean cylinders
David McNeil The kit I am showing here is for cooling only there is no HP gain and it only uses water NOT METH. however the same principal can be used with METH and that should give some gain if done properly. research meth injection both pre and post charger this has been done for years and it is proven to work. In fact without the AEM 50/50 kit I am algo using in the FRS (also seen in the video in the battery bay) I would not be able to use higher boost and get the 300+ WHP I have today. I hope that gives a better idea of what this specific kit is and how it can be used to gain HP if done properly. Thanks for the feedback
Yup, twisting, tapping, shrink wrap and zip ties... That is how we roll... I have said it before in many of my videos that is how I work if you don't like it or have a better method that is great but this is the way I do it and I like it. Please feel free to do how you like in your projects. I do appreciate the feedback and it is correct there are much better ways of doing this, this is just an example of how I did it. Use it as a spring board :) grain of salt and all that... Thanks for the feedback, I will keep twisting them wires thought :P
Jordan Berry *Hi, actually I also have that (AEM) installed in that very car. This was just something extra I decided to tinker with and was very cheap to build. Thanks for watching
DiFuXioN Did you think injecting straight into the superchargers impeller was a good idea? I would have put right before the throttle body. Did anything happen to the blower???
Jordan Berry **nothing has happened to the charger for years people have done pre charger on turbo also and works fine.. In my case the blades are still in perfect condition. I will convert this to another sistem using the parts soon.... Most likeley it will be converted in a water to air cooler system.
DiFuXioN Wow that's crazy to each is own I guess. I wouldn't do it. Turbos run a lot hotter than blowers. If it works for ya and you've had no problems then power to you!
IdealSound & Performance : Mobile Hi, can't give you back your time but I can thank you for using a bit of it to view the video and then taking a bit more to comment... 😊 there is an updated version of this video that has been re-edited and has better music and such. I could do better conections but I think this gets the job done even thought some such as yourself don't like that. Think I misspelled a few words there but it's all good.... Thanks for the feedback
IdealSound & Performance : Mobile jeje in my book its done and I have since moved to many other thing like my ebike project, you may like that project I did the wires "correctly"😎
I couldn't handle this horrible music....made it thru a few minutes before leaving....

you know you can mute the video right?
Congratulations you're a pussy crybaby you want a fucking trophy?
If you want to have a way to keep the pump from running, run its power wiring thru relay actuated via the low fluid sensor that turns on the LEDs that you already have installed. Easy to add and cheap (get the relays online or at Radio Shack, NOT autozone, o'reillys, etc. they are a good 40% more for some reason.
and remove the techno crap and use your voice.....

Which methanol is similar to a very high octane gas I guess if methanol had octane it would be like 120ish octane its highly oxygenated which allows more fuel to be burned which of course makes more power, which is why more air flow like a intake upgrade makes power is it allows more fuel to burn so oxygenated race gas, av fuel, nitro and methanol has the same effect as more air flow does it works kinda the same as nitrous does its kinda like putting nitrous in your gas tank and has other ingredients to create power
But methanol costs about half the price of race gas because it's not a oil base fuel its actually made from distilled wood alcohol or less commonly made from natural gas but you burn twice as much than gas

just go to junkyard and get one out if a benz,cadi,bmw...5 bucks and u can pick one to fit...I have a pushbutton Hurst shift handle a tank and pump from a 450 junkyard benz..you can go to speedshop and get nozzle for intake tube..get 3-4 different psi tips with filters...I put mini green light on dash w on,off switch and separate white light to button on handle so white is only on when I hit switch...benz pump is strong,,never seen one replaced !!but these guys do a great job.!!... either way its a boost..fun one.
Easy "auto shut off" of pump= wire the float level to interrupt the pump power. Tank empty= no power to pump.
good idea, thanks for the feedback
If you use an early vw beetle reservoir it pulls air from a spare tire but you could have it pull from a small air tank... bam no pump issue
too much methanol in your fuel system will eat aluminum parts, alky fuels are around 115-118 octane, which means you can go way higher in compression ratios like 14 to 1 the alky BTU,s are half of gasoline which on average is 18,000 btu,s,so you use twice as much fuel, so called water injection systems just basically steam clean your combustion chamber from carbon deposits that cause pre ignition
You guys are killing me working off that guitar case, lol....
jeje my fav guitar is in that case I was also maintaining it a bite before we started the video :)
don't worry no guitar or guitar cases were harmed in the making of this video

Hi, that sounds cool at the moment I am just using a simple sensor and has been working. Thanks for the feedback :)
do these water methanol injection systems help a car get better gas mileage? Thanks for the video.
Hi
you should get better mpg on a modern car which corrects itself for fuel mixtures. better if you actually tune for the mix and you may also gain a few WHP

Thank you
Id like to use this as a tailgater sprayer but filled with used motor oil 😄
Just don't let the fuzz see you.
Thanks for the feedback :)
well start earlier but you got my idea of which tittle I looking for lol nice video
thanks
nice video. i inspired feom this and i build an intercooler spray, but i lose all the water because of gravity. the tank is higher from the nozzle. any suggestions? thanks for sharing.
There is a inline bypass valve but if you are using a wiper pump you need to check if it has enough pressure to open the valve that will make it so that there is no water going thru unless there is pressure. I used one in my W/M kit here is the vid on that
ruclips.net/video/qnBDVe3S0g4/видео.html
good luck
If the nozzle is 1gph and the tank is like half a gallon then how is that 4-5 days of use? Wouldnt it be more like 30mins
It only runs after 3k RPM and I usually just cruise around so it does last, however its just water so its quick and easy to refill. thanks for the feedback
So if I wanted to do a Meth injection would I need a bigger pump??
you can use the windshield wiper pump if you are using it in a NA car but if you are using FI unless you are running real low boost you will most likely need a better pump.
This does not affect the O2 sensor, does not produce bad fuel mixture readings? regards!
Jesus Alberto
Hi, in my setup the sensor is after the intercooler so this does not reach that point, it disipates in the intercooler.
I will first answer your questions:
The hole was for the level sensor I found one generic in autozone it was a bit big but it did the job so I used that, here at least I was able to have them show me a few of what they had at the store and I selected from that...
The relay is a good idea but I did not do something for when its empty because it does not affect the AFR so it does not really matter, I did attach it to the fluid level of the other AEM kit so that when the level was low the light flashes and then I just add any water to it since this is just a cool down system for me (no meth in the mix).

They should have a kit to spray water on to the outside of the inter cooler I think that would work just as well if not better

how much its water/meth flow rate so it wouldnt damage the engine and reach the highest impact for best torque?
Hi, the water usually can be 50%, 75% (25%water) or it can be 100% ethanol. You need to test, Dyno and a gauge to check mixture will help and tweek from there. I settled on 75% for my car. I also used the smallest nozzle from the kit which worked best for me. Each nozzle has a number and a recomended HP target to start from there. I hope that helps
@@DiFuXioN thank you so much for the answer and attention sir.. i see.. so there are some options of nozzle size in that kit ya?
@@RIDHOKOIKITA yes, you usually get 2 or 3 nozzles with a description in the manual recommending how much HP each can handle at least that is what came in mine

i have a 2013 cadillac cts coupe that is not turbo charged. would this still help even if i dont have a turbo charger? and wouldnt this damage the internals of the engine since water is getting into the combustion chamber?
Hi
spraying water into an engine will not damage it. this technique has been used since wwii (in airplanes) I believe and is proven to work on all cars. on NA cars you may not feel a huge difference thought you would have to test to see, it would be kind of like using high octane fuel but the mixture regular fuel with alcohol/water injection will be cheaper. this kit is cheap and will help you test without wasting too much money on something that you did not like after testing and if you like it you can keep using it as is. also keep in mind you should use a mixture of water and alcohol not just water. to test use heet or winter wiper fluid that will be cheaper then if it works get a larger canister of alcohol. hope that helps
Thank u

you can do it but if you do it, this may damage the fins after years of use. as with any mod there are always things to consider...
but it does work
I use water on the charger and ethanol in the intake, I have had no issues and it does what I intended it to do (cooler charger) because the FRS charger with no oil return runs hot.

A code? also, is this supposed to lower under hood temps? or overall IAT's somehow? afaik, pre-turbo injection will almost never need a tune, as the gains are minimal if any. more to keep temp lower, but not to gain power if you get what im saying.
any before/after logs?
This solution is a band aid on a broken bone. I will require a vented hood. but it does help if even a little.
Is that water hitting your turbo. Your going to mess it up. It's like throwing rocks in your turbo. Not good.
remember its a very fine mist not enough to damage it quickly. after years maybe but not an ammount that can break it quickly. keep in mind this "tecnology" has been used for many years in fighter planes and cars so it is proven already. as with any MOD you need to consider pros and cons and make a choice knowing what may or may not happen. I am happy with it and it works fine and it has an added benefit it saves fuel (I have another a video about the fuel savings)
awful music.

@@DiFuXioN thanks, I want to try your idea in my 72 vw karmann ghia
Hey I wonder.. did you intall this pre-MAF?
+lSairexl
Yeah, this kit I set to the SC air filter but it has the smallest nozzle that was available and the sensor(s) are so far away that by the time water reaches the intercooler (which is also before the sensor) its pretty much dissipated. So I don't get any warnings or errors and such. Still good point to consider the location of any water injection kit...
My "main" WI kit that uses a 50/50 mix with the medium nozzle is close to the throttle.
keep in mind for me this was just an "extra" mod to cool the charger, so in my case I just run some of filtered water thru it.

yeah I dont wanna mess up any sensors on my S60R so I think I'll do it after the filter post MAF and pre-turbo. that should do the trick and the accessibility would be also great.

Yeah planning for that will help reliability and help avoid issues down the road. I am one of those that think the main kit should go closer to the throttle for me this is an extra addition so I used it pre-sc and as I mentioned with the setup I have water should not reach the sensors.

Cause I have fun doing them 😊 , thats all... Ohh and I did make it work👍 Thanks for the feedback
IdealSound & Performance : Mobile
Hi, there are fuses and relays in both kits visible in the original fuse box (or added to) I tend to add a fuse to what ever electronic I add even if I am already conecting to an existing fuse.

Its good, but talking would be nice.
Matt Watkinson Yeah I thought about doing a voice over, even did a script but in the end it would have taken me more time to complete so I just took the script and converted it to annotations :) I think it still conveys the point and is detailed enough to help others. what gains have you gotten from your system not flaming but logic and knowing how a proper system operates says yours should do nothing but clean cylinders
I had to stop less than 2 minutes in - that music is obnoxious! a voiceover would be better - at least something pleasant to listen to.
What's with the 70's porn music wtf lol
you can blame youtube for that jeje
I am using youtube approved music so it does not block my video on a copyright claim :)
Do not ever inject anything into the impeller of a blower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way too long spent on watching you do stupid things like twisting wires together? Get a soldering iron and learn to do bell connections!
IdealSound & Performance : Mobile
Hi, can't give you back your time but I can thank you for using a bit of it to view the video and then taking a bit more to comment... 😊 there is an updated version of this video that has been re-edited and has better music and such. I could do better conections but I think this gets the job done even thought some such as yourself don't like that. Think I misspelled a few words there but it's all good.... Thanks for the feedback
DiFuXioN job isn't done if it's not done right ;)
IdealSound & Performance : Mobile jeje in my book its done and I have since moved to many other thing like my ebike project, you may like that project I did the wires "correctly"😎
