I use it everyday as a fencer, it holds up great in rain, snow and the accidental drop in the mud.. just careful pushing the trigger after dropping in mud, it spits it out quick and it hurts, especially if you catch that in the eye.
It’s because they made it too powerful for its own good. I’d rather have a slightly less powerful impact driver than the flex just so it doesn’t overheat and get longer tool life.
I just bought a flex drill today, I am a advid Dewalt guy but thought I'd give Flex a try after watching post about it, the hard case is exceptional but when I opened it I discovered that there was a black oily substance on both the batteries, now I did see that their batteries leak at times but are still good so I wiped them off and charged them then I discovered there was that black goo on the charger so the batteries leaked while charging as well I'm very disappointed and will be returning this tomorrow and will no longer buy Flex again their battery platform is a disgrace
A guy ran an M18 fuel impact driver on the skid more machine and he seized the anvil dog and the redlink plus gave out an error code in the form of dimly blinking LEDs. Good thing Milwaukee has designed their tools to prevent further damage if any goes wrong with any of the mechanicals in the tool. All in all, Milwaukee tools are awesome but, don’t treat your impact driver like an impact wrench. An impact driver is basically a cross between an electric screwdriver and impact wrench.
That's why Makita hasn't tried to beat Milwaukee. They've hit the compact size to power sweet spot. Anymore power will just result in failure. I'm sure Milwaukee will try and their fangirls will excuse it when it fails. "cough collet issue, cough redesigned impact wrench issue"
Have mine and I use it everyday I’m a carpenter and it works like a beauty
If/when you review it can you test how well it does with sunlight exposure/outside work?
Sure

How does this one compare to ones like Milwaukee and Dewalt
Is the light dim on your flex? Super dim on my in comparison to the dewalt 887
No, it’s pretty bright. Similar in brightness with my DeWALT & Milwaukee.

Idk why the flex looks like Makita and Milwaukee had a baby.
And then cornfed it
😂
@@jj88jj65 lmao yes
A FAT baby because that sucker is heavy 😂
These tools are getting too powerful. There must be some physical limit before screws start snapping with one pull lol

Flex is made in Germany and Milwaukee, dewalt, and other brands are Chinese . German engineering all day
