  • ➤ In today's video I will be doing another Three Munros on the Cuillin on the Isle of Skye - Including Sgùrr a Mhadaidh, Sgùrr a Ghreadaidh & Sgurr na Banachdich.. this route traverses some very serious terrain including one of the narrowest ridges on the British Isles..
*Note these hills are extremely difficult to navigate & require good scrambling/climbing skills - if you are unsure then hire a guide - I used West Coast Mountain Guides (westcoast-mountainguides.co.uk/)

Scotland has 282 Munro's - Which are peaks over 3000ft in height, I am aiming to climb them ALL!

Since filming this series in May/June I am saddened to say that Dave Fowler from West Coast Mountain Guides has sadly lost his life in the mountains - I will leave the videos up at the moment in his memory. Dave gave me the best 4 days I have ever had in the Mountains and memories that will last with me forever.
His passion and love for the outdoors really shows. He will be sadly missed by myself and many others. Thoughts are with everyone involved at this time - RIP Dave.. 🏔

You've been in my thoughts, James. I thought he was the same guide as you had as soon as his name was released. It must have come as a shock, and left you feeling a bit out of sorts for a while. Good idea to use the videos as a fitting memorial,

James it’s your call I’d say leave this here for us to watch only met him once but listening to him encouraging you reminds me of when i met him in Glencoe same encouraging words to his client on that day too his voice was very distinctive still hard to take this all in must be difficult for yourself after spending time with him cherish your memories with Dave

I'd heard about the accident, but have only just realised it was the guide featured in your videos. It was a terrible tragedy, and I think your videos are a wonderful tribute to Dave, especially the lovely drone footage of him on the Inn Pinn.

Well done James. It all looks so much more chaotic with the route much less clear than I remember. I have done the Ghreadhaidh ridge quite a few times but not recently. The last i took my collie who sauntered along the very crest of the ridge until I finally lost my nerve as she was about to spring up a metre from a very narrow ridge to a very narrow boulder top, when I put her in my rucksac for the last bit. You'll find the Gillean west ridge a doddle now although I am sure it is technically harder than today.
