In this video I install the Rogue Engineering front and rear strut bar. There ear strut bar came out this week and the quality is unmatched by any other brand. It is big welded all the way around. Due to the fact that it is one piece it is super light weight and very very strong!

One thing I noticed when I did front & rear strut bars was when entering & exiting steep driveways. The chassis flexed a lot less and caused 3 wheel action on steep driveways that it wouldn’t do before. Also, on uneven freeway bumps the car would bounce/rebound less

Was it overall more comfy or harsh on everyday roads?

you need springs or coilovers, sway bars, bushings, and the links- it all works together with the braces. You thought you were shocked from just doing braces, wait till you do the rest of it :)

@@zkramez Its amazing, once you complete it all I'm glad you are enjoying it. A lot of folks don't give the braces a fair shake because they stop at braces since they don't feel a difference under normal load (driving conditions). These cars should come like this from factory - they give us the horsepower the least they can do is give us some aids to control it properly =). Most entry level sports cars start at 200-250 whp these things should be mandatory on anything above it - its sad we have to crank out cash (cause German performance parts are expensive as hell) and me not as bad as you because my other project is a mini. Respect for german car enthusiasts! what you do to your honda for 10k can't even buy us decent wheels and an intake 🤣. keep going .

Add the poly subframe bushings to it and rest of the bushing refresh and wait for the result
Have had 3 e46 M3’s .. got rear ended by a young lady texting doing 65 mph when I was stopped in traffic driving my most recent 06 .. put me under the car stopped in front of me and I am here today to tell you about it . Though I do have a slight limp to say the least .

Great video! I'm considering putting bracing on my stock car because I want predictability and comfort and this video showed me it may actually do that
Appreciate it man! The bracing also can help further protect the subframe. Another reason to consider it.
Something I didn’t mention in the video though… the bracing can alter your alignment so make sure after installing to get another one

What’s is the torque spec on the rear after installing the RE rear strut brace bar?
Bro you had the better idea with the cutting. Ppl are trashing their upholstery or whatever covers the shock because they don’t cut it. Good vid plus we get a view on what the feel is. Two thumbs up

Is it necessary to cut that much carpet or can I make it look clean with a small hole.
You can make it look a lot nicer than I did. I just have 0 artistic skills what’s so ever.
@@zkramez id like to be able to do it with carpet flush around the bar, but it seems like that might be pretty tricky. possibly if i pull the carpet back first.
@@AC-wl7ve that would be the best way to do it. mark out the holes while it is out.
I have coilovers on a 325ci. I didn’t know there anything in the rear for a strut bar. I live in North Jersey

do you have the fitment issue when installing this? Cannot fit the bolt properly for one side
In the front it takes some finesse to get it right. The rear you should have no issue
Any hints? I just want to make sure it wont damage the chassis

Ahhh!! probably you either jack up the car or open up the hole on the brace a little bit?
@@sitsainicholasyeung9315 it shouldn’t be that difficult to do. You may want to take it to a body shop and have it checked out. Maybe your car flexed too much in the past
would a rear strut bar like this help prevent the rear subframe from cracking?
That is a great question! The answer unfortunately no! It will prevent the top where it mounts from cracking however the subframe is prone to cracking in multiple spots. My suggestion is to bite the bullet and get it done. Then do the rear strut bar as added support later.
there is a type of rear strut bar that does prevent the subframe problem its called an x-brace
