Well he's been shown to enter a kind of hibernation when he's been defeated or there's nothing for him to do. See the beginning and end of part 6 and 7 and the beginning of part 8 and Freddy VS Jason. So, I'd guess it's nap time for the last 11 years or so and especially during COVID.
Jason is basically a draugr. Not like, Skyrim or GOW draugrs that're just mooks. Nah. The OG stories about draugr present them as an undead Chuck Norris. They're stupidly strong, tireless, can tear through doors or walls, turn into mist to enter a room unseen, and just one being active in an area makes a region cursed so people have nightmares about them. The only draugr power he doesn't show is size-changing--supposedly you know when someone's going to be a draugr when their corpse becomes too heavy for even a horse to drag, and they swell to their 'real size' and then can change back to human-sized. They just do stuff to be dicks--like chase cattle until the cows die of heart attacks.

To anyone who says they can't breathe in masks despite not having any ling problems. I'm asthmatic and have to have a nebuliser at home all the time incase I have a random asthma attack and the only time I've had problems wearing a mask is walking to the shop in 30 degrees heat in the summer which was when I had to take it off. But if I can easily wear it in shops and on trains as well as at work for 9 or 10 hours then you can wear it for 10 minutes when you pick up a case of beer

I honestly think that Jason Voorhees is most creative horror villain in movies. He's used everything from a pitchfork, to dipping someone's head into liquid nitrogen. He'll use whatever is around him. He's only really comparable to Freddy Krueger who can manifest anything in a dream to kill his victim.
He's up there with John Wick in the body count. And let's be real, John is an Slasher killer, as all his terrified foes would attest, and the fact that he appears unkillable and relentless.

This is Camp Crystal Lite the drink. Crystal lake camp site is down the road. Then Jason just shrugs whacks another kid then walks off past a sign says Crystal Lite.....
But Freddy is clearly shown winking and laughing after being beheaded. Jason probably did win that battle but the war wasn't over. Neat idea for a commercial but it would probably work just as well for like a little one-off web comic.

It had normal cheesy horror movie vibe.
Even if you were somehow able to overcome Jason's supernatural strength, speed and durability he'll just posess someone else and keep going. I think Jason is the perfect personification of "I only have to hit you once, dexnerd."
That record must be for on screen kills. By his sixth movie, Freddie wiped out his entire town, meaning thousands of off screen kills. Honorable mention for the Tall Man from the Phantasm series for wiping out dozens of small towns. He's not exactly a slasher, but many of the tropes are present. He technically has has help, but given that his help comes in the form of the reanimated corpses of previous victims, he should still get the credit.

I'm sure there were plenty of people in they space station that he accidentally destroyed, it could have been 200,000 or even more, but no figure was given in the movie. I also think that accidental kills are in different category, and he's still most likely behind the the Tall Man, who definitely qualifies if were talking stalkers rather than just slashers. His count has got to be in the millions after over a century of wiping out entire towns.
Robert Englund said in an interview once that Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash was actually pitched to a movie studio but it never went anywhere, even with pretty much everyone being on board for it and liking the early draft of the script and plot, I believe even Bruce Campbell was interested No idea if the movie pitch was anything like the comic but it almost got made into a film

A little late to the party, but Jason Voorhees is someone I dress up as for a local halloween event where I live. The man, the myth, the legend that IS Jason, and the fact that I have a similar build, makes for some of the best screams for the season. The pure fact of seeing me dressed up, mask on even with a fake machete in hand, can send some grown men and women running in fear. The man has a near 40-year history as a Horror Slasher, to the point he has helped quite literally DEFINE the genre, all by only walking, and without a single word.
Jason x ended with a couple seeing and saying "theres a shooting star, make a wish" " i think it landed in the lake over there, lets check it out" so leaves it up to the audience to decide if hes alive or dead

The remake actually gave a solid explanation: he dug tunnels under key locations and rigged them with tripwire alarms so he knew exactly where to be.

I thought the movie was good considering all in all... they had the original Freddy and the sets were great and the gore was over the top awesome for a slasher. It had normal cheesy horror movie vibe.
So when you get right down to it Jason is essentially like a god.
Even if you were somehow able to overcome Jason's supernatural strength, speed and durability he'll just posess someone else and keep going. I think Jason is the perfect personification of "I only have to hit you once, dexnerd."
I love that the reason Freddy Krueger has for bringing back Jason is that kids in the early 2000s no longer fear death.

That record must be for on screen kills. By his sixth movie, Freddie wiped out his entire town, meaning thousands of off screen kills. Honorable mention for the Tall Man from the Phantasm series for wiping out dozens of small towns. He's not exactly a slasher, but many of the tropes are present. He technically has has help, but given that his help comes in the form of the reanimated corpses of previous victims, he should still get the credit.
@NotAHero🎭of911 Where did you get that number? I'm sure there were plenty of people in they space station that he accidentally destroyed, it could have been 200,000 or even more, but no figure was given in the movie.
I also think that accidental kills are in different category, and he's still most likely behind the the Tall Man, who definitely qualifies if were talking stalkers rather than just slashers. His count has got to be in the millions after over a century of wiping out entire towns.

Jim Rose Circus used to have a skit where their chainsaw guy ran among the audience with the chainsaw on full blast. I've never been more terrified as when the guy came running straight toward me with his chainsaw pointing at my crotch. Running people holding implements of death IS scary.
I've been to the "crystal lake" place where they filmed. It's all dried up and taken over by wild hogs now. Good hunting though if you can get permission from the land owner.

A little late to the party, but Jason Voorhees is someone I dress up as for a local halloween event where I live. The man, the myth, the legend that IS Jason, and the fact that I have a similar build, makes for some of the best screams for the season. The pure fact of seeing me dressed up, mask on even with a fake machete in hand, can send some grown men and women running in fear.
The man has a near 40-year history as a Horror Slasher, to the point he has helped quite literally DEFINE the genre, all by only walking, and without a single word.

I just realized something. Jason has never actually killed someone with a bonafide chainsaw! Think about it, in part5 it was the final girl. And part 7, it was the kind that cuts tree branches. With all the parodies of a hockey mask wearing, chainsaw weilding maniac, Jason himself never used one!
