When they play live they have an exceptional band called the Kami Band (God Band). They actually have two Kami Bands, the East Kamis who play exclusively in Japan these days and is made up of a fairly stable lineup of literally some of the best musicians from Japan - Takayoshi Ohmura (guitar), BOH (bass), Hideki Oyama (drums) and Leda Cygnus (guitar). They also have the West Kamis who play with them on their international tours, Chris Kelly (guitar), CJ Masciantonio (guitar), Anthony Barrone drums) and Clint Tustin (bass). On the studio recordings the musicians are generally uncredited. Babymetal is primarily a live performance band. Although they have 4 studio albums they have about 20 live albums/dvds/blurays. In Japan they regularly sell out 20,000 seat venues for multiple nights in a row. In the rest of the world they usually play anything from big festivals (they will be at Aftershock, Blue Ridge and Louder Than Life in the US this year), clubs with 1500 people and small arenas with 8000 people. They are currently on a US tour co-headlining with Dethklok and will be headlining a European tour later this year. As mentioned they have been around as Babymetal for about 13 years now (first as a sub group of the idol group Sakura Gakuin) and started when they were in their early teens. Su-metal, the lead singer has been performing since she was 6 and is trained as a singer and actor. They are now in their mid-early 20s.
_Wasshoi wasshoi!_ _Wasshoi wasshoi!_ Hey guys, it's been a while, you didn't show up with more BM songs from the new album, hope to see you around with more. We got another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this recently at Houston starting The Babyklok Tour in the US as well in all the cities they've been around, hopefully they will do the same at Aftershock or Louder Than Life and get the crowd going nuts with this, unfortunately Blue Ridge Rock Festival was cancelled due to bad weather conditions. It's their first song released with this new BM reborn and formation. The live debut was at Apocrypha - Another One exclusive show right before the track released, it was fun and totally unexpected, everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it. The song title is Metali!! (metal + matsuri, which is a Japanese festival) and you can hear it in the spoken section when one of them (MomoMetal, the new official member since April) is doing the Kabuki moves style. Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festival when men are carrying the shrine, similar to sore and soya you can hear in Megitsune and Karate. The traditional Japanese instrument you can hear in the beginning is a shamizen, also used in Megitsune. I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts. Next suggestion: - METALIZM official MV. There's no particular credits for most of the recording tracks, they got different composers, lyricists and arrangers and occasionally they got special collab like in this case, but the producer and creator is KobaMetal, he's the final word. When playing live they got another set of professional musicians called Kami Band, they come in two flavors, East with Japanese musicians since around 2012, and West with western musicians since 2019. The Western Kami Band are the ones playing with them in this Babyklok Tour and pretty much since started this World Tour including big Japan live shows in April. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🦊🤘🎸
Once again BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old All three girls were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these for a start. "Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Welcome back and good reaction. The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds are going nuts! 🤘🤪🤘 Don't expect a lot of English from BABYMETAL - they will throw the occasional English word or phrase into many of their songs and they do have 4 songs completely in English, but they are Japanese, they sing mostly in Japanese and it works best that way. Don't worry about not understanding what they are singing, watch the choreo as that usually helps with the interpretation - and they will make you feel the right emotions for the song just with their voices. As Su-mertal once said "Don't think. Feel." This is Momometal's first official music video since she was revealed as the official new member in April and she even got her own solo part with the spoken kabuki theatre section. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance. We don't really know who records the instruments in the studio recordings, if you want to see the Kami Band (I know I explained about them in your last BABYMETALreaction) you will have to watch some live performances by BABYMETAL ... and that is always worth doing as they are even better live. How about one of their very first songs, they were playing this live as long ago as 2011 when Su-metal was 13, Yuimetal and Moametal were both still only 11 or 12. I would recommend their very first appearance at a major metal festival, their first tour outside of Asia, their first show in the UK in front of 50-60,000 UK metalheads who didn't know who or what BABYMETAL were before they came on stage. This is the last song of the 5 they played - 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' live at Sonisphere 2014. See what the crowd thought of them at the end as they were walking off stage.
Welcome back and thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 The title is a synthesized word from two words : "Metal" and "Matsuri 祭 (festival)" → Metali. And if you want to know the deep meaning of the lyrics please check Professor Hartley's channel (Andrew Hartley). I witnessed this song live twice in August : World premiere (live debut) in a special show and Performance at huge festival "Summer Sonic Tokyo". At the actual venues, this song followed after an intro with Western Kamis' cool instrumental solos. Oh My Buddha! 😍 I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song. Momometal's extravagant elocution and moves in Kabuki style (and her growl in live show) gave an amazing accent in the exciting repetitiveness. The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival). It is a kind of phrase to intensify people's excitement and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi on their shoulder that is a kind of a float in Western style festivals.
Nice one, thanks! "Metali" (metari) is a "matsuri" (traditional Japanese festival) influenced song. It's all about hyping the crowd and inviting them to dance and sing along. For what I've read online, this song has to be madness live. And I can't wait to experience it myself. Their music is composed by a group of songwriters, composers and arrangers, being Kobametal (Kei Kobayashi), their producer, the person in charge. We don't even know who plays on the studio recordings (except for a few collaborations like this one and for Leda Cygnus, a Kami Band member). But their core business are their live performances and there, they are backed by the Kami Band, a group of incredible session musicians. You probably want to watch this one, a really important moment in their career: "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Live at Sonisphere 2014): ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html 🤘🦊
The studio musicians are generally uncredited. However, Leda Cygnus, one of their live touring guitarists played guitar and bass on a few of their studio tracks. He also did the arrangement for 'No Rain, No Rainbow', one of Su's solo songs. BABYMETAL's producer Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal, or just "Koba") has mentioned in interviews that he brings in studio musicians on a case-by-case basis, depending on the song they're recording.
👍 👍 This is their newest released about 3 weeks ago and already being played LIVE on their current U.S. Tour to American audiences that already know it and chant along. Metali LIVE Fan Cam Pittsburgh ruclips.net/video/0Q7Ly9Omd_Q/видео.htmlfeature=shared

Babymetal “メタり” Metali (feat) Tom Morello:- Babymetal have joined forces with Tom Morello of "Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage, Lock Up, Street Sweeper Social Club, Axis of Justice, Class of '99, Shandi's Addiction" for a new single ‘Metali’. The new song is the latest in the Japanese kawaii metal band’s series of star-studded collaborations, and sees them partner with the Rage guitarist for another up-tempo, electrifying track. The group first teased the release last week and, according to the press release, ‘Metali’ is “officially the first song by the newly reborn” group - now consisting of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL. It also confirms that the single was created with the vision of their crowd forming a circle pit at a metal festival this summer. Babymetal - METALI (feat. Tom Morello)” was released as a digital Single in 2023. The Japanese Title “メタり” has a distinctive style of kana usage. It is written as the nominal form of the made up verb “to do metal”. This song is characterized by the classic metal style of the Japanese band, combined with some j-rap touches that distinguish it from previous releases. And of course, the subject gets more frantic through the classic guitar style of Tom Morello, which fits quite well in the musical LYRICS TRANSLATION:- ROMAJI:- metamura matsuri no meta ondo matsuri da, matsuri da, yottoide wakka ni natte, wakka ni natte pi-hyara odorou! metamura nikisan nekisan mo matsuri da, matsuri da, yottoide wakka ni natte, wakka ni natte minna de utaou! so-re sore sore dokkoisho! odoru ahou ni miru ahou onaji ahou narya odorinnchai so-re sore sore dokkoisho! odoranainnja utainchai utawanainnja odorinnchai koko de odoranya odoranya odoranya kaerenai! odore! odore! odore! sore sore dokkoisho! yurase! yurase! so-re! so-re! utae! utae! utae! sore sore dokkoisho! sakebe! sakebe! so-re! so-re! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! nete mo samete mo dokkoisho! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! wasshoi! neko mo shakushi mo dokkoisho ~~ odoru ahou ni miru ahou onaji ahou nara odoru de shikashi koko de odoranya itsu odoru metari metari ~~ dokkoisho! dokkoisho! wasshoi! wasshoi! … ENGLISH TRANSLATION:- It’s the metal-village festival metal song festival, festival, come together make a ring, make a ring let the party horns dance1 brothers and sisters of metal-village too festival, festival, come together make a ring, make a ring sing together like that, like that, heigh-ho2 you’re a fool if you dance, and a fool if you just look on, so let’s dance3 you have to dance and become a fool like that, like that, like that, heigh-ho you have to dance and sing you have to sing and dance everyone has to dance, dance dance, we don’t go home. dance, dance dance, like that, like that, heigh-ho shake it, shake it like that, like that! sing, sing! sing! like that, like that, heigh-ho! shout, shout! like that, like that heave-ho! heave-ho!4 heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! the people asleep wake up and heigh-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! heave-ho! everyone and anyone5 heigh-ho! ~~ you’re a fool if you dance, and a fool if you just look on, so let’s dance but if you dance to also be a fool when you dance do the metal, do the metal! ~~6 heigh-ho heave-ho! …. So you have reacted to two of their releases from this year. It would be interesting for you to react to one of their first songs... This band has been around for a long time and the vibe when when it started is not exactly the vibe that it is today. Try something like Ijime, Dame, Zettai from 2014's Sonisphere. Or if you want to blink a million times and be very confused you could watch their very first music video and song, Doki Doki Morning.

Greetings. Welcome to the fox hole, Who plays the guitar? the Kami band. It is not known who records the studio versions of BM, but in the live performances the girls perform with the Kami band, some of the best musicians in Japan, each a master at their instrument. Currently there is another Kami band, the Western Kami band, which performs on international tours. The total experience is Babymetal with the Kami band. Do you want to see Babymetal with the Kami band? Three examples of the original BM (Su, Yui and Moa) with the Kami band: 1) BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL) zTEYUFgLveY 2) BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL) 3) BabyMetal Legend of 1997 Headbanger QEsOaMbNFww And if you want a solo from a young Su-metal with the Kami band with a fantastic guitar solo: BABYMETAL - AKATSUKI「紅月アカツキ」BLACK NIGHT HD1080p g2372C5PJLM
The really old stuff would be great to watch but might be a bit WTF as in their earliest performances as Babymetal they are in their early teens. Based on how much you have liked the modern performances you have seen so far I recommend Metal Kingdom (Official MV). Headbanger (live Legend 1997 Apocalypse, not the MV), Karate (live at Download 2016), Road of Resistance Live in Japan (official live video performance). A lot of the live stuff will get blocked if it comes off of one of their blurays but the ones above should be pretty safe. But their catalog contains about 60 songs now and really there is no bad Babymetal song but they mix a LOT of genres with metal so you may not like all of them.
That day EU fell in love with BABYMETAL❤

For what I've read online, this song has to be madness live. And I can't wait to experience it myself.
Their music is composed by a group of songwriters, composers and arrangers, being Kobametal (Kei Kobayashi), their producer, the person in charge.
We don't even know who plays on the studio recordings (except for a few collaborations like this one and for Leda Cygnus, a Kami Band member).
But their core business are their live performances and there, they are backed by the Kami Band, a group of incredible session musicians.
You probably want to watch this one, a really important moment in their career: "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Live at Sonisphere 2014): ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html
🤘🦊
The studio musicians are generally uncredited.
However, Leda Cygnus, one of their live touring guitarists played guitar and bass on a few of their studio tracks.
He also did the arrangement for 'No Rain, No Rainbow', one of Su's solo songs.
BABYMETAL's producer Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal, or just "Koba") has mentioned in interviews that he brings in studio musicians on a case-by-case basis, depending on the song they're recording.
Anyone who has watched this MV can imagine how much fans want to see this performance at a BabyMetal concert. Thanks for your great reaction.
👍 👍
This is their newest released about 3 weeks ago and already being played LIVE on their current U.S. Tour to American audiences that already know it and chant along.

The musicians that support Babymetal are known as the Kami Band.
Please react to their live stuff. Karate live at 2016 Download is a good one. Anything from their 2021 Budokan shows too. I'd also suggest Monochrome live at Pia Arena MM Clear Night
Happy to see you back with BabyMetal got to wait to experience this live in November 😁 surrgest you try Metalizm will supprise you again 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Babymetal “メタり” Metali (feat) Tom Morello:-
Babymetal have joined forces with Tom Morello of "Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage, Lock Up, Street Sweeper Social Club, Axis of Justice, Class of '99, Shandi's Addiction" for a new single ‘Metali’.
And of course, the subject gets more frantic through the classic guitar style of Tom Morello, which fits quite well in the musical

the Japanese phrase used here literally translates to “the cats and bamboo lids also” which has the meaning of “everyone and anyone”

You want to know more about the band behind the girls react to their "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live" showcases them fromt and center

Greetings. Welcome to the fox hole,
Who plays the guitar? the Kami band.
Three examples of the original BM (Su, Yui and Moa) with the Kami band:
1) BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL) zTEYUFgLveY
2) BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL)
3) BabyMetal Legend of 1997 Headbanger QEsOaMbNFww
And if you want a solo from a young Su-metal with the Kami band with a fantastic guitar solo:

Nice react
There is no way that the Hot Blond is "a Jerk".... so what instrument does she play? 😂
There's an amazing intensity in those eyes!!! (No disrespect intended to the Jerk)
Western Kami Band
