This is probably the coolest looking FC3S RX-7 I have ever seen. That combination of the neon green lip w/ black spoke wheels and the flat black paint job is such a badass combination. And it has a great soundtrack too. Great work on the car man, hope you make more like it.
From time to time I feel that I'm losing interest in my passion for cars. Then I come here, and I realize that everything is ok. Thank you for the video.
@slylaw89 yeah mines a 13B, the main probem with the apex seals is running oil that will cause carbon build up, and the carbon build up than chips your apex seals if its not burned off, so reving it high (6.5-8k rpm) once a drive will remove tht build up and keep it clean, also water injection helps basically steam clean your housings and rotors. but if you want the engine to ast through daily driving and racing like mine get some 3mm apex seals they are thicker and can take more abuse
Not a huge fan of the mods on the car, but hey thats personal preference right? Beautifull work on the car, love the sound these engines make. Been hunting around for an old FB RX-7 to restore for myself. :) wouldnt mind seeing a couple more videos of the car though.
@1994lebaron technically the rotary engine does burn oil by design it has to properly lubricate the apex seals and if you run the engine properly you would also run a mix or 2 cycle oil and gas (similar to a weed eater or lawn mower) to aid in the lubrication of apex seals. if you want more info check rx7 club they have a ton of info on rotarys
@aaronk2011 I thought they did burn oil because there was no way to keep oil out of the combustion process, which is why you shouldn't run synthetic in a rotary because not all parts of the synthetic burn under combustion.
When rotaries throw Sexy flames like that they arent using to much oil they are just over fueling. Saves pre-detonation blowing seals. Little over the top in this case though
@1994lebaron to answer your question yes they do (but not why his car was smokey as he mentioned it was running rich). either through oil injectors controlled by the oil metering pump or premixing with the fuel. its to lubricate the seals.
I was in the same boat bro, broke up, got a rx7 s6 13b and I've been with her for about 3 years, still love her like we just got together, does spend most of her time in the garage though, but thats where a good woman should be ;)
@1994lebaron Yes, By design oil is dumped into the combustion cycle via the oil metering pump to ease wear and tear on the apex seals. Of course how much oil is burned in this process is determined by how aggressively you drive ;)
@1994lebaron The comment from the author was an indirect answer. Yes, they do, they're designed to burn oil to lubricate the Apex seals. You can't tell from the exhaust though.
@ninhaxable Well thats good lol. Hope it's a beast! You'll have to send me a vid of it when you get it lol. I wanted to buy an FD and do a 20B swap, but I found out how much it is to do it correctly and I'm just going to go with a 13b FD, Supra, or 300zxTT. Just don't be surprised if the tab is in excess of $25k lol
That kid don't need to go to school Aaron's fc with a 20b is in super street this month. This car is the epitome of what i want out of my fc but some different exterior styling.
matt maillet Its a custom one off bodykit he made for himself. The rear guards have been done with metal not a fiberglass bodykit. He then stripped the car to a bare shell and sold it :(.

sounds a bit like an rb
Love the vids btw lol but i thought the same damn thing

i think you mean an RB sounds a bit like this
Like a 1jz

gotta love line lock, one of the best looking and sounding cars ever I reckon
@1994lebaron actually yes all mazda rotary engines are designed to burn small amounts of oil to help keep the apex seals from wearing out
@slylaw89 yeah mines a 13B, the main probem with the apex seals is running oil that will cause carbon build up, and the carbon build up than chips your apex seals if its not burned off, so reving it high (6.5-8k rpm) once a drive will remove tht build up and keep it clean, also water injection helps basically steam clean your housings and rotors.

@1994lebaron yeah they actually have an oil injection system to keep the apex and perimeter seals lubricated.
one of the most badass rx-7's i've ever seen :)
@1994lebaron they circulate a small amount in the combustion process to lube the seals. so in turn yes they do, but not a large amount.
Everytime I watch this I want to drop the money for a 20BT then I see the price in instantly my hard on is gone lol
and then the price of the turbo system.
The price of rotary gear in general, not to mention “know how”
Can watch over and over again , still cant get enough !
@aaronk2011 I thought they did burn oil because there was no way to keep oil out of the combustion process, which is why you shouldn't run synthetic in a rotary because not all parts of the synthetic burn under combustion.
Redline a day keeps the carbon away
k for all to know is a 20b engine turboed wich means is 3 rotors, the one that was on the eunos cosmo japanese and australia production car

awesome car, i love rotaries they sound so good!
Who else comes back to visit this melodic masterpiece? 🎶 😌😍
That is one bad ass Fc. Do you have a build thread of it somewhere perhaps like rx7club?
@1994lebaron yes all rotary engine takes oil, it works a little like a moped engine, the fuel is oilmixed ( excuse my english) haha
@1994lebaron they do use a little more oil then normal engines
I was in the same boat bro, broke up, got a rx7 s6 13b and I've been with her for about 3 years, still love her like we just got together, does spend most of her time in the garage though, but thats where a good woman should be ;)
Holy shit...this is my goal in the end 20b powered FC thanx for the inspiration
That is one hell of a beautiful FC.
@1994lebaron Yes, By design oil is dumped into the combustion cycle via the oil metering pump to ease wear and tear on the apex seals. Of course how much oil is burned in this process is determined by how aggressively you drive ;)
The OG #1 🏆
I just fucking love the dark windows! Makes it sooooo mysterious...
@benji van teunenbroek monster ported rotary sounds dope lumpy as
@1994lebaron Yes, they are engineered to do that. My RX-7 burned about 1 quart every 1,000 miles.
Prefer FD 93 RX7, but this is a killer!!
Alex Gallegos look up the price of a good FD, then look up the price of a good FC, you'll quickly see the difference
Wow !!! Rx7 was my first car. Bad azz car man :)
what happened to the eunos cosmos?? everyone just took the engines off them lol
@TehTann3r It's discontinued in North America and Europe.
At the end of the burnout there is a explosion. Does he press a button after letting throttle go? Awesome burnout end
gotta love the smell of rotary premix
That's one sick car!
@1994lebaron Rotary motors are like two stroke engines
that was worth watching just for the camera mans "Wicked~" comment. classic
@killjoysxe thanks man i never knew, like all rotary videos i see theyre burning oil so i was just assuming it must have been like that on purpose
soon very soon
2023still don’t have one
AWESOME CAR... but why is the video sped up...?
that´s a badass rx7! evil rims...
Im pretty sure i saw this for sale on TM Aaron? Or maybe it was just parts? Man when i build my RX7 i'll never part with it.
@1994lebaron
The comment from the author was an indirect answer. Yes, they do, they're designed to burn oil to lubricate the Apex seals. You can't tell from the exhaust though.
@shadowchild13B looks like a very crazed engine design i wonder how it keeps from burning tons of oil!
Very Nice Car I love this Sound from a 3 Rotor engine.
This is a real Nice RX7 :-)
Todo igual lo pintaria esta bravazo exactamente igual otro color de aros facil 😎
@the86FC just starting to get into rotas was wondering does that apply to the likes of a 12a or 13b aswel or would the seals be different again?
Fun Fact that I just realized:
This audio is on the APP ZEDGE as a notification ringtone.
@1994lebaron they have oil injectors
that thing is a road going stealth bomber, looks tough as
holy shit that thing looks gorgeous
Man just look at all that unburned fuel spitting out the back...I'm in love. Screw the rising gas prices
@ninhaxable Well thats good lol. Hope it's a beast! You'll have to send me a vid of it when you get it lol. If the sound of this thing doesn't create a little tingle in your pants, your fuckin dead below the waist.
That kid don't need to go to school Aaron's fc with a 20b is in super street this month. This car is the epitome of what i want out of my fc but some different exterior styling.
Where can I find more info pertaining to this build?
love your car :)
Sound like a XR GT from the LFS
I had the cars but every time i hear rotary my heart jumps and I want one regardless ;-)
Running rich while on a run in tune is common for a rotary, using expensive spark plugs and using a decent tune will stop the plugs from fouling :)
Its a 20bpp Turbo, Fully custom.. No cosmo centerplate used.
Around 700hp. Not sure if it had 700hp in this video though as the other one with it sitting on the dyno
my favourite fc by far
Batman called, he said he wants his car back =D Nice carr thoughh
Are those work meisters?
@1994lebaron na it was running rich has since been tuned
@aaronk2011 okay cause most videos i've seen of rotarys they're burnin oil so i wasn't sure... sexy car btw, my favorite gen of the rx7
That last backfire was sexy
I remember this rx-7 is the black sheep 😎💣💥
Ryosuke Takahashi eat your heart out haha. sick FC bro!
that has ALOT of power to sit in i spot, no move at all and spinn tires. thats one well built fc
Fr
Pls more videos of this car its epic.
This video makes me want to buy another RX7. I regret selling mine.
ok ok, so riddle me this, having never seen this car or engine in person. how does he know what is rich for this engine?
ITs Aaron Keaches 20B Rx7, featured in NZPC
@aaronk2011 dude is that a 180sx front lip?
burning so rich!!! what a beast i love it
got to love it!!
but i don´t like the sound of a turbo spoiling all that rotary awesomeness
the sound of a ported 20b with itb´s would be killer....
Yes, but when someone says "rich" they typically mean that in the "compared to what would be optimal for that specific engine" sense
dont rotaries run rich by nature?
Brrr rAP rAP BRAP brrrrrr AP- brrrrrrrrrrr BRAP brrAP BRAP BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
the best kind of car sounds
Where did you get your motor?
i smell,,, i smell HIGH octane!! this aint running on pump gas 4 sure :p e85? or 110?
i have this video book marked an watch it every time i get on youtube
OMFG amazing RX7!
aaron keach what kind of body kit do you have on your rx7 and would it be possible to put a similar body kit on a 84 gsl rx7?
i think its a bn sports kit. Im not sure tho. It doesn't look as aggressive as one. Same style tho. Im getting an 86 gsl and putting that kit on mine.
matt maillet Its a custom one off bodykit he made for himself. The rear guards have been done with metal not a fiberglass bodykit. He then stripped the car to a bare shell and sold it :(.
me and my friend are buying a rx7 soon :D 20b is the goal.
WAW What are car!!!!
@1994lebaron My friend races and rx and he said they mix in some two stroke oil to extend the life of the apex seals.
@co2gas How come?
What kinda exhaust you got on there?
what a sound!! insane
What kind of wing is that?
perfect for drift
i like how the footage is sped up.
Running a little rich there bro ;)
I can see the confusion he had. I honestly think 3 rigors sound like Rb's lol. And I am a fan of rotors. Take a look at my Rx7 on my channel
