- The next exhibi thas been started in the Zoo, a Lego Goat enclosure of course. I'm going to take a more naturalistic approach to this exhibit with a rockface/cliff style terrain. Part 1 of progress so far!

this is perfect for not only the new CMF series goat but also the goat in the new medieval town square!
Yes, love the new grey goat... wish there were more in the set! Thanks for watching!
Love the snack shack & facilities behind the enclosure! Discretely tucked away from the front entrance yet totally accessible to main areas of traffic flow makes perfect sense. I’m really enjoying your work as you take particular care with logistics and practical issues as well as aesthetic design. Keep us the great work!
Thank you so much, I spend a lot of my working day doing planning and visitor movements, so I can’t help but overthink this stuff and also try to make the best use of the space available! As the Lego Zoo grows.. I imagine I’ll probably have to be changing quite a bit to make space.. just like a real Zoo! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Great bit of artistic creativity. Nice touch adding a few familiar faces from the "real" zoo.
Thanks Nicki 🙏🏻
Don't worry about goats. As I was riding my Harley on the Needles Highway in South Dakota, there were mountain goats everywhere. I still can't fathom how they can climb these shear cliffs. A bird can barely land on the edge where these goats are at. Just wow....
Also, thank you for spilling knowledge of zoos. The what's & what nots. I like it.
Thank you! I know goats are super-daft! We used to have some really tall climbing structures at the Zoo where they destroyed the safety barriers at the very top, and proceeded to throw themselves off of - like 12 feet up. 🙄😅 thanks for watching 🙏🏻
#35291 is a door that comes in various colors. No better person than you to build the zoo out of Lego. Your knowledge of animals is going to make this fantastic. Great job Maxine!
Thanks for the tip! I can’t believe I don’t have any in my inventory.. gonna have to search through the bulk! Thanks so much for watching, glad you got your channel started! 🙏🏻

Looks brilliant so far 😄
looks fantastic, minifigs love hotdogs, so that would work for your little food station
Hotdogs is a great idea.. doesn't require a massive kitchen!
Looks great, love seeing this come together!
I'm always amazed by your lego work and ideas!
When you first started describing it I thought you were going to do a shelter for goats in the back of the mockrock which would have been good too!
I saw a video of someone making their own stickers for their lego build perhaps that would be good idea to try for signage around the zoo.
I hope you make a soft play area with a ball pit that would look super cute.
Yes - definitely got custom signage on the cards! A softplay? That’s something I hadn’t thought of to be fair.. I’ll have to make a proper sit-in cafe/softplay combo… 🤔
I think a soft play would add a nice pop of colour too!
I love to see this built. I am asking myself how it would like in 1 year.
Gosh.. I hope in 1 year it is going to be covering the table somewhat... I'll likely be replacing these bits now trying to perfect things! Lego is neverending!
I enjoyed watching the good video. I’m looking forward to the completed zoo. It’s very interesting.
Thank you for watching! Goat exhibit update out this evening! :)
1 minute in and the goat enclosure is giving me serious millennium falcon vibes
😅 I can’t decide if that is amazing or bad… 🫣
I'd love to see a minifig and an animal counter for when they are added in just to see how many end up in the awesome zoo!
Yes, I will do my best to keep track of these! I totally forgot to do piece-count.. too late now!
Wow it looks so good!
Just use the standard plain doors for your loos... part no. 60616 - use the quarter circle tile for the handle as it allows you to put a handle on both sides and still close the door.
Re food... Hot dots cheap to pick up, there's the burgers from the Scooby Doo series and the crystal/rock piece no. 30385 in yellow works well as chips.
Also... have you seen the leaks for the Medieval Town Square? It's got a new goat in it - a grey one.
I was digging around in my bulk inventory for ages and eventually found some doors! Great tip about the quarter circle, I might go swap them out! The medieval town square is very pretty.. I just wish there was more than one goat in it! Thanks for watching! The finished goat exhibit video is going up shortly :)
We have a market and confectionary with goats living on the roof up the road from us. Not sure how they ensure it remains water tight as they have been there for ever and Ive never seen them do maintenance on it. The goats seem content. Great start, looking forward to part 2.
That’s pretty cool, also worrying if theres ever any leaks 🤦🏼♀️! I bet thats super popular though. We have/had a cafe nearby that was called ‘Goats on the Roof’.
Great work, love the idea of building a building into the mock rock nice!
Thanks so much! Finished goat exhibit video is coming on shortly :)
Door #60616 on Bricklink might be a fitting choice for the Bathrooms, has many colors available too to mix it up for other bathrooms in the Zoo.
Another option is Door #60797 pb03, a non-translucent variant of #60797
I can’t believe I don’t have any of these basic doors in my inventory! Going to have to have another look or get on Bricklink! Thanks for the codes 👍🏻
if I squint, the outline for the enclosure almost looks like a goat! :)
😂 I had not noticed this..
Great video as always!
Thank you 🙏🏻
There is a new grey goat in the new medieval town market releasing in a the next month or two.
Yes! Seen this. Big set to get for a grey goat… 😅 but the village could fit in somewhere..
What a lovely idea using the mock rock negative space for facilities and snacks! Keen detail on the ketchup and mustard dispensers. As an American I love your accent in general, but especially enjoyed hearing you repeatedly say "Mock rock", LOL (Perhaps you've said, but where are you/from where is your accent, anyway, if you don't mind sharing?) Goats may be low danger, and one gate suffices, but surely it would be latched at least right? Not just keeping them in because goats can't pull? You're just keeping it simple in Lego form, obviously. Uh, right?
Do you have only white goats? Any of the OG goats with the brown spots? I'm just thinking your herd (flock?) will sadly look so similar, lacking variation. Officially, I only have white ones (five now!). No spotted Lego Goats for me. I do have some 3rd Party Printed (from eBay) Goats that look _just like_ the originals (and some other colors as well). So I cheated since I just couldn't justify ~$100 for one Lego animal. >shudder< I understand there's a gray goat coming out in a medieval village set in the near future. So there's that.
Anyway, love watching you build and look forward to your zoo growing. As ever, happy building!
I have 7 of the new goats, one OG goat who is a bit full of himself clearly. I'm eye-ing up the grey goat in the medieval town square... but thats a lot of investment just for one tiny goat! Will keep my eye on bricklink once the set has settled in a bit and see if any greys come up as a bit of variation would be great!
A goat could totally open this gate... I do need to think of a way of stopping this - haha.
Thanks so much for watching! The finished goat exhibit photo will be online this evening! :)
@@ZooBricks I did get one of the OG Goats. It was the cheapest I'd ever seen and I consider it a "deal" though still expensive for what it is, but now I'll have a legit piece of LEGO history. Neat. Heh.
Have you seen the new goat variant in the just announced Medieval Town Square!?
Yes! Looks really nice.. wish there was more than one but 🤷🏻♀️ will make for a more interested goat exhibit anyways!
@@ZooBricks I truly was hoping for a better spread myself 😣 the shockingly low animal count in that set is the only issue I have with it.
Looking good. How did you get on at spring fare?
Thanks! The Spring Fair was huge! Lots of interesting stuff to see and some great ideas for the shop. Ended up spending a day and a half there but it was worth it! 👍🏻
