Demand for the EXS Aerover has become so popular, EXS has no incentive to stock ready-to-buy inventory. Or offer pre-orders and subsequently be forced to meet certain fulfillment deadlines. Why would they since their weekly small batch releases sell out immediately like Air Jordans used to. Who knows if they are artificially creating this demand. This is why competition is important.
I also bought the Tavelo Handelbar. In the Size 130 400mm. But I’m not really happy with the Handelbar. It has a lot of Flex and the Spacer’s and the Mountplate for the Frame doesn’t fit. So i have a lot of play in the Fork.
@@MarvinSauer The play in the headset can be solved with a headset shim or two. It's impossible for 3D printed headset covers to have a perfect fit every time, because the headtube tolerance for every bike/brand is marginally different. Regarding flex, I have not experienced this myself.
Great update Pat, those look really nice. I can’t wait for your full review and or build that you add those too. I have a friend who does 3D printed spacers for specialty stems and such. It helps make the entire top tube to stem transition look so much more aesthetically pleasing. Can’t wait to see what you have to say about the bar and build
I got these with my Tavelo Arow. Honestly didn’t expect much, but I am liking them a lot. I wish there was more of a flare at the drops, but aside from that they are great bars. The included out front mount is well made.
These look so nice and clean, straight lines would be good on both aero bikes and skinnier tube bikes. Im thinking ill pick up one now that ive dialed in my fit. Pretty deep drop, ill have to figure out some kind of spacer/grip to go under the tape and bring up a half inch or so. Might be more comfortable too if i make the drops more oval shape.
140mm integrated handlebar and stem! I'm having a terrible time finding one for my Yoeleo R-12. I'd prefer a price closer to $200 but I guess this will have to do. The only alternative I've found is the Deda stem + separate handlebar.
I used the Deda Vinci integrated stem on my R12, it looked really nice, but the computer mount was absolutely awful 😂 Massive chunk of plastic, and held the computer too high above the profile of the bar. Now that nice integrated options exist I wouldn't recommend the Vinci, it's way too heavy, and they still aren't cheap. You'll spend more on a vinci + bar + mount than on these bars in the video
I bought a T1550 and D67 wheels based on your recommendation. The bike is fire but I am running a 2 piece aero bar and stem. I want to get the Winspace bar to match the bike and clean up the cabling. Their longest length is a 125 mm stem and I am currently using a 140 mm. I guess I can push my saddle back for the Winspace integrated bar to complete the bike.
Another good option is the Avian Falcon II They offer up to 140mm and are a bit cheaper than the Avro. They are also about 80 grams ligher. Note these are not their sister Canary handlebar hence not flexy. Bought them for my Tarmac sl8
@@PatrickLino its good. Only complaints I heard of the Canary is they are not stiff. Have seen persons post about them getting destroyed in a crash but thats to be expected since they are very light weight
@@PatrickLino nice! Thanks for the tip. Easy choice then to go for these over the EXS. Slightly higher weight will mean they are a bit sturdier too I think :)
Is the stem length defined by both brands the same? The EXS seems to measured it not from the center of the steerer tube but more forward and therefore according to the drawing a 140mm EXS should be longer than a 140mm Tavelo one? Can you confirm this?
Both are measured from the center of the steer tube bolt to the imaginary center-point on the tops. However, the Tavelo bars have a reach of 77mm while the EXS only has 70mm. Irrespective of the stem length. Overall I'd say integrated bars have an effectively longer reach than a separate bar/stem combo.
This is a good looking Bad! I was gonna pick up the EXS bars but they were *NEVER in-stock, 🤦🏽♂️ ended up going with the Avian’s, 🤷🏽♂️ anyways… looking forward to the Ride review, 🙂 #RobbArmstrong
Just interested, how do you manage to ride 140mm handlebar? Do you choose one size smaller frames or are you crazy tall or flexible? :D My bikes usually come with 120mm stems and I have to change them asap, because I feel so overstretch

First ride on these is later today. Stay tunnnnnned
The seka rapier really looks the business aswell. My biggest problem with modern bars are any flare causes me a lot of wrist pain.
SEKA's latest Spear frame looks lovely.

I agree about the front mount. Very well thought out and made indeed.

I prefer the drop. Makes being 90 degree elbows on the hoods easier, while having the control of a deeper drop.
Great content, good to know for a future build!
Sup Jack!
Banging out the videos recently 👍 weirdly got some bar reviews coming soonish too. Just not as fancy as these lol
Are you gonna offer any hints? haha
Pat they look awesome I’m definitely buying some
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽

Cheap, stiff, size availability. Pick two but you can’t have all three.

Great video, can I fit this bar on 1 1/4 steerer tube?
I don't think so. But always best to contact PP or Tavelo to confirm.
Really like these but don’t see any options to buy spacers for the SL8 like with the EXS. Guess I’ll have to wait till they are available again…

I just paid $500 for a take-off Roval handlebar on eBay 2 days ago. Wish I saw this sooner. I would have really considered it.
Well hey 500 is better than 600 from Specialized lol
I have a Cervelo Soloist (2023) with Ultegra 11 speed mechanical shifting. Would these work with my setup?
The exit port for the levers are TIGHT. Would be extremely difficult to route two cables from each port.
Can you get the farsports f1x? There is not a lot of reviews on it 🤔
@@Eirikkinserdal I have the FarSports F1S on my Tavelo Attack. Similar specs just a tad heavier.
@@PatrickLino bro which one is stiffer for sprinting?

Very flexible but also long arms for my height. My professional bike fitters says I can never have enough reach LoL
I won't buy until you post a ride review. if able, please do a short video in the next month, this bar checks ALL my boxes!!
Already 50 miles on them. Stiff and 36cm is the WAY to go.
Well done
Thank you!
Do you think it could fit a velobuild vbr 168 / 268 ?
Yupppp. Same bearing diameter. Just order the generic headset spacers. You’ll also probably need some headset shims
@ thanks, will check. I think it would look great on my 168!
Question: Will these fit a Specialized Sl8?
@@boscoboys yup
Are the custom spacers exclusive to panda podium?
@@leg_snapper I doubt it since Panda Podium doesn’t manufacture the bars themselves. Most likely come from Tavelo
Are they compatible with od2 steerers?
I don't think so. But always best to contact PP or Tavelo to confirm.
Do these have a flare?
Yup. Thought I mentioned that in video, but maybe I forgot LoL. 2mm flare
Not super but a good amount... Thanks for the quick reply 🫡
