Schroeder had an interesting career. For the first year and a half he started, he looked like the Redskins' QB of the future, and would be their guy for the next ten years or so but in 1987, he lost the job to Doug Williams, But then he came back and had a real good season in, I want to say, 1990 with the Raiders. He could throw the deep ball very well. I think he threw for over 4000 yards in 86, that at a time when 4k passing really meant something.
Johnny Morris a little out of place there, not calling the Bears. This was about the time (maybe a year after this) where CBS would begin to discontinue the practice of generally assigning particular announcing teams to certain teams. I.e. Summerall & Madden doing the Giants, Stockton & Wayne Walker doing the 49ers. I think Morris would soon quit doing NFL games on CBS when he couldn't call the team he covered locally at WBBM in Chicago.
I remember Steelers losing back to back games by similar scores... They lost this 30-23 and to Denver the next week (or was it the week before?) 31-23. Both at home. Killed the playoffs pretty much
@@charlieyellowstone8248 what a bizarre division the AFC Central was that year. And the Brownies should have beaten Miami that playoff game. Pissed me off
What ever happened to Raphael Cherry? I guess Walton and Bowles beat him out for a roster spot in 1986. He wasn’t great but I thought he would last longer than a year especially with so many starts in that rookie season
John Riggins final touchdown.
Thanks for the score in the corner
Still had a few holdovers from the steelers 70's dynasty.
Shell Webster Cole Dunn Woodruff probably few others
Pittsburgh's special teams were horrendous in this game.

When the Bears became more prominent, that is when CBS decided to assign their higher tier announcing teams to their games.
Thank you very much
Road win in pittsburgh is very good any year !
Jon Goodman should be in the hall fame.
Wegie Thompson should be in hall fame.
