The Ohio & Little Kanawha is eastern US transition railroading at its best! This layout is owned by Ted Stephens, who recently earned his MMR certification from the NMRA. This layout was built for operations, and contains a lot of important layout design concepts that make it perfect for operations.

Spectacular!
nice layout design. the pull out section is really thinking out side the box when it comes to it's purpose. Adding interiors I never really gave much thought on but opening up some of the kits really made some of them POP. favorite is the one garage, with the car sitting in the back. small yet busting with imagination, since we have all spent some time in a garage waiting for our baby's to be ready for the road again.

What a cool layout! I loved the little HO scale shovel leaning up against the furnace door of the foundry. Great little added detail to bring it to life.

Takes guts to put a Hudson on a freight train, but what most rail buffs don't know is that after shopping, steam engines of all classes and sizes were sent out on local freights to break in bearing and seat piston rings.
Beautiful modeling techniques and a wonderful example of freelance railroad that helps to replicate the feeling of West Virginia.

If you would go to see the smart train again it would make my day. They aren’t test running anymore and there in full service they have schedules and everything from Santa Rosa to larkspur and the smart train yard is at the Sonoma County airport
I like trains of all sizes.
I also model Parkersburg WV..... and I live here as well.... I model the B&O and my own Little Kanawha River RR.....

I would guess the Bay Area. Ted's shirt says Pacific Coast Region of the NMRA. Plus John is located in California.
