I want to fit one to an internal door, hardboard faced, and that door probably it has a wooden frame, how robust i dont know. What i would like to know is how much pressure is on the 4 fixing screws during opening/closing, is there a chance they could pull out if going into hardboard Thanks.

Please teach how to reduce pressure when opening the door with a door closer. Children and seniors can't open it.
@MS T There are screws in the hinge side , two screws, if you tighten them it will cause door to be shut slowly and will be difficult to open... So loosen it for easy opening.

Good Question, it would be beneficial to be able to leave the door ajar at times, not fully open. I doubt it can be done though without trickery.

Why music
This brand is very loud and makes a clicking sound when pulled back. They can be adjusted to close slowly and quietly but they click and bang loudly when pulled back. One in a hmo i live in has destroyed my sleep for the last 2 months as my housemste gets up ay 5am . We ended up screwing the whole thing off

That equipment is there to allow the door to close itself to contain a fire.
I wouldn't remove it or tamper with it just because it takes a little extra effort to open the door.
It also prevents inconsiderate douchebags who don't know how to close a door quietly from constantly slamming their doors and disturbing neighbours.
maybe they just need adjusting ?
As @mark koh said remove the screw at 2.01 if you have the same type of automatic door closer, remove all the screws if u dont want any equipment on the door
