Really like the review, but keep in mind when you were comparing the two mice that it looks like you've had the Chroma for a significantly longer time. This could be why the LED's in the Chroma are worse and why the buttons aren't as crisp.

Brainbean Alright. Was just concerned because the feet of the Chroma looked a little dirty xD
the lighting tends to make even a small amount of dust pop for some reason. I can take a brand new keyboard out of the box and with all the soft boxes on it dust can still show up, it's frustrating and I try and use air duster and such but it's just one of those things.
Been using the deathadder 2013 since it came out. Never betrayed me! It's time to upgrade now as the optic has surely worn out , can't wait to check out the elite 😍😍

The deathadder is the only good razer mouse.
It's the same shape as th DA but improved sensor.. so what's thE issue you have it's it?
ReviewTechUSSR no, there's a lot of great mouses that razer produces. Mamba, Onaga, Abyssus (it's cheap, but it's great), DeathAdder, etc

Mad Catz rat pro x is not that good relative to its price. It has a 3310 optical sensor assuming you get the optical version (Which if you don't get you're a dumbass) but that's quite shit compared to the 3360/3366. Logitech G900 is not only the best wireless gaming mouse, but the best gaming mouse. Period. It has a 3366 sensor and virtually zero sacrificed made for it being wireless, considering it has less input lag than most WIRED gaming mice.
Mad Catz R.A.T Pro X is a decent mouse but totally not worth $200. Considering it's worse then the G900 and $50 more (really $70+ more considering you can get the G900 for like $130 now), also considering it has a worse sensor. They will be releasing the R.A.T pro X+ sometime soon which will have a 3360 so then it will be worth it due to the fact it appears to have nice ergonomics, also has RGB unlike the pro X. I'll actually probably buy it considering it looks more comfortable then my G900. But right now, the Rat Pro X is a bad deal.
Nice post, you know what you're talking about regarding sensors. But the new G430 wireless is likely better than the G900, from the reviews i've seen.
Ok so I've been using the Deathadder elite for over a year now. There have been no major problems with it. To this day it runs fine however very very rarely I notice a problem with the left click. Like when u shoot a fully auto weapon it shoots and then it stops and I have to click it again for it to continue which takes around 1-2 seconds which can be crucial to competitive games. However guys, that's only 5-10% of the time and only on very specific games so it might be just a problem with the game sometimes. Other then that I give it a 9/10

AJ yeah I am a firm believer that the audience is smart enough to know if you aren't genuine. Reviewing with integrity is very important to me. Nice vid, just a tip for the future - when talking about mice sensors, could you mention the actual sensor used, e.g, is it a pmw3366 as used in the logitech g403? or maybe a pmw3360 like the logitech g303? Which sensor is used does make a big difference for people serious about mice as some sensors have issues at high speed, or acceleration etc if laser. I feel that mentioning DPI alone is not really enough information as a big DPI is just a marketing technique - people see a bigger number and assume it's better. Very few people actually utilize the high DPI, but everyone will be using the sensor. Keep up the good work!

Oh man, these are really cool. I have the old Deathadder, the 3500 dpi version. Must've been using it for 7-8 years already and I haven't ever thought about replacing it, until I saw the Elite in a store a few days ago. I love how they've stuck to the original shape, it makes the mouse look really nice, I especially like the customizable lights, as I'm trying to do my build in a theme. Also people who come to use my computer always find the mouse too fast, even if it's only set at 3000 dpi, but man, 16k dpi sure sounds crazy.

I've had 3 Razer DeathAdder mice since 2013. Every one of them eventually started randomly double clicking on me when I click once, or when I try to drag a window, or file.. I'm wondering if the same will happen with this one. I love these mice, but UGH.. Please let this issue be solved with the "Elite" version.

Just got the Elite, best mouse I've ever used. I too doubted it, but my aim was on point, RGB was on fleek, it was and is the best investment I have ever made. :D
Honestly I've been using the same deathadder chroma for the past 5 years and I just finally had to take it apart to reset the copper inside on the switch to get it to work again, as it fell off. Now I am having issues aiming down sights in games, so I decided to break down and get one of these elites. I am hoping it's worth it!

But i think u need new logo (maybe try another colors) and new text font on it (its just my subjective opinion) becouse i think that the look of logo does matter to get people interested in channel, but like i said its just subjective opinion. Anyone know if Deathadder Elite, Mamba or Mamba TE are rubber coated? I get sweaty hands and on most mice i've had the rubber coating gets eaten away leaving shiny plastic underneath.
Might want to bring that monitor up a bit looking down at it is not good for the neck.

I mean it's a solid upgrade from the 2013, even more so than the chroma. But, like you said the 2013 is a good mouse in itself. It's up to you really but the upgraded mouse switches also feel nice, and the sensor is more accurate so there's more to it than just RGB
Hey man solid review. Please please let me know whether you can apply the wave option with synapse. Alongw with the rest razer products. Let's say the wave can go to the elite mouse, firefly and whatever keyboard has this setting too. Thank you in advance. Keep it up! I know that the razer mamba can do that for example. But I'm now quite sure about the deathadder versions!!
I think for the color comparison the elite has more of a pastel look to its colors while the chroma has more sharp hard colors.

both chroma's i got were dirty. the first had some kind of glue on the usb and some white specks of dirt on the mouse itself....and the treads were scratched up.
So i returned it and got another one thinking i just chose poorly from the store. And the new one had dirt specs all over the mousewheel (hard to clean bro), and had a scratch right on the base on t he mouse.and the pads on the mouse were also scratched up like ti has been used before................
just gonna return it agian and look at a differnt mouse....I didnt pay for a used product and they looked unopened and all that and i got them at bestbuy. Just they were handtapped closed which was an indicator that mbe ALLL the ones t hey were selling had been preused and then just put back in their packages very carefully. IM more inclined to believe that they were shipped without a seal from razer and they were shipped dirty to begin with and bestbuy just graciously sealed them like they do alll they products to prevent tampering.
I rly liked my deathadder i got a year or so ago but returned it due to the mousewheel making soooo much noise i couldnt stand the noise it made. the chroma wasnt as bad though and it would be bearable probably sound-wise on the wheel. was also upset there werent felt pads on the chroma's. the deathadder i got before had felt pads on it...anyways looking for a new mouse. Honestly the look of the deathadder is a bit of a turnoff too and so is the software u need to install to turn off the lighting. iw as told it saves to the mouse tho so u can delete the software after.....and thats what made me try for the chroma. But alas......fate sucks and i need to find something else AGAIN. i think ill swallow my pride and try logitech again at this rate....since i was NOT impressed by steel series and many of the other big names out there.
Just really upset it didnt work out with the chroma...ill find something better hopefully though.

lightning is a variable , also the chroma mouse was used for god knows how long..maybe thats the reason behind the dimier colors ?
Does elite last longer? Ive had 2013 for like 3 years and then it started double clicking and chroma did same after a year or two. Now im thinking of buying elite, because its slightly painful to double click all the time.
i think that some of the differences in physical look might be because of the years of loving use of the deathadder chroma
the chroma in the video is 4 months old, plus i switch mice for testing a lot so it hasn't had very much use

Great video dude. I heard that optical mice work at their best on soft, cloth mouse mats like the Razer goliathus control. Is this true?
I haven't heard that myself. All my Deathadders worked just fine on my firefly though.
How do you clean Razer mice?

I have the Logitech g502 protestus spectrum but my pinky drags on my desk mat and it bothers me that I have all razer stuff and then a Logitech mouse so I can't get the same lighting and I'm looking for a mouse for Counter strike and I have big sausage fingers so I'm wondering if this would be good for me
If i click my right mouse button really hard on this new elite it kinda gets like stuck? For a split second and its annoying, is this a flaw or a feature

Does the lighting match up with the Blackwidow X better on the Elite? I have my Blackwidow X and Deathadder Chroma on spectrum cycling and I noticed that some colors don't match up.
the only reason i will still buy the chroma is the unnecessary 2 DPI buttons that no one uses anyway on the elite.

Is this a plug and play mouse or do I have to install drivers from Razor's website. I remember a few years back I baught a Razor mice and it didn't work right off the bat.
I'm still rocking the deathadder 2013 model. It's finally started to fail on me as black friday sale is going on so I just grabbed myself an elite. My 2013 deathadder has lasted 5 years, that's like insane. It's still usable for gaming but can be somewhat annoying. The left mouse button tends to click twice every now and then which can be annoying in certain situations, the side grib of the mouse has fallen off but I just kept it up with some glue and the grips on the front corners of the bottom of the mouse has also fallen off.

Originally was gonna stick with my Chroma but today it finally hit its last legs and the pads are worn down so ordered this and will arrive later on today looking forward to seeing if i can notice any differences

I can probably understand why they keep inflating the DPI on their mice to make the average consumer attribute higher numbers with better performance, but realistically speaking, no one will go much above 1,000 DPI for the sake of being able to actually accurately move your mouse cursor across the screen without seeing it fly at the speed of light.
There's a $20 difference as of right now. The Elite is $70 and the Chroma is $50.
Considering that price difference and the fact that the Chroma is still an awesome mouse, I think I'm gonna go for that one.
How is that mouse considered one of the best for fps when the click has such a delay ? Even a razer naga has a more responsive click, is there any reason they went with that design?

good mouse i had my razer 2013 for 5 years and now retired it for a corsair m65 pro rgb.
I'm glad they increased switch durability. My Mamba mouse "died" because it has lost its clicking nature you just push the mouse button until it registers without feeling the click. That took 5 years, and mouse is perfect otherwise.
Elite's clicking noise is too loud, and somehow I feel like the 2 buttons behind the scrolling wheel will get in the way and feel awkward on my fingers. I'll get the Chroma instead :P
I have the elite and the 16k dpi is something that no one needs you can literally get the cursor across 3 monitors by moving your mouse 1 inch
Should i buy the razer da elite or the ec2-a i have 18 cm hands one more thing i want to keep it for a long time so i will probably take the most durable one

I have a Deathadder Elite 2016 and it's kind ofgetting a lag every now and then. You know when you flick it for CS:GO, You would know if it's getting a lag. The mouse is great but mine has a bad sensor And i am very pissed because i spent so much on it but its already giving me problems. i don't have a razer mouse pad and my dpi is 1800 and sensitivy of 2. Should i get a new one via warranty or it's justthe mouse pad? I have an ordinary mouse pad like 6x8 inch.
