Well you’re looking at the wrong movie this reboot is not that faithful to the character you should watch the original 80s movie if you want the actual good robocop
The least realistic thing is that crowd cleanly parting before robocop jumps off the stage. I’d imagine that people would move in semi-random directions if they even moved at all. At least a few people would move from out of robocops path and into it, putting themselves directly between robocop and the person he is pursuing. A person is smart, humans are dumb
Why can't their security cameras do this? ID the criminal, and send an alert to the two cops behind him on their phones or any other piece of equipment. Sounds a lot cheaper and more effective than one physical being with the software.
The plot of this movie is that the company that build Robocop wants to convince legislators to allow them to sell their drone robots in the US. Robocop is essentially a PR stunt to convince people that "hey having robots on the street isn't that bad", because they can't deploy an actual robot, Robocop is the next best thing. All the facial recog stuff is software that only exists as software in Robocop's head, he has access to all (or enough) security cameras in the city but as far as the public is concerned, it's not an AI doing this facial recog, it's a human, which makes it legal enough.

@@lonesomewendigo Lol no bro masks are the worst because people end up touching their faces to readjust their mask a lot more than when they don't wear a mask. I go to the gym with everyone wearing masks and everyone constantly touches their face and cross-contaminate all day long. I noticed with myself that i never touch my face when not wearing a mask but when i do wear one im always touching my face to readjust it
how about wearing a false nose?
If this was ever so slightly more realistic, his son with freak out in excitement.
"Two of Detroit's finest officers." He was literally standing right in front of them, and I don't know if anybody noticed, once Robocop tasered the guy they just casually walked towards him and did not even look at him. More like two of Detroit's blindest officers lmaooo
And anyway, how were they supposed to know who he was without immediate access to Detroit's entire criminal database?
1:06 my favorite part. I don’t know why, but it is

I do like that Murphy's wife and kid were involved in the story in remake.
I like how savage robocop is he just like
Thomas king you're under arrest
And the vision drops down
The way he jumps
The way he shoot just savage

No sense of morality.
The movie should've had more scenes like this one.
The dumb kid doesnt realize you don't interrupt your dad at work when he's Robocop..
I love this scene, I love scenes with like multiple reactions from the public and drama.
Anyone here after his Mortal Kombat reveal?
Yeah
Well you’re looking at the wrong movie this reboot is not that faithful to the character you should watch the original 80s movie if you want the actual good robocop
Mason RobertsTV
This version is good too. I just wish they didn’t call him Alex Murphy.
Exactly
I really want this suit in MK11. It looks dope
At least RoboCop knows who's the murder
Like hacking
lol :)
CJ he's gonna get you one day !!!!!
Hide somewhere to save your life !!!!!
Na cj can use cheats
The least realistic thing is that crowd cleanly parting before robocop jumps off the stage. I’d imagine that people would move in semi-random directions if they even moved at all. At least a few people would move from out of robocops path and into it, putting themselves directly between robocop and the person he is pursuing.
A person is smart, humans are dumb
Why can't their security cameras do this? ID the criminal, and send an alert to the two cops behind him on their phones or any other piece of equipment. Sounds a lot cheaper and more effective than one physical being with the software.
Two problems: Right to Privacy and cost.
@@Fbiguy Well said. Too many people completely glossed over the main driving plot behind the entire film, that an automated Police Force would not be accepted by the public and putting a human face, and HAND, on a robot humanises it and allows people to accept it.
His mind was being used as part of the computer.
"Why can't their security cameras do this? ID the criminal, and send an alert to the two cops behind him on their phones or any other piece of equipment. Sounds a lot cheaper and more effective than one physical being with the software."
Costs are one thing. So are peoples' expectations of privacy. And you have to remember that the police chief is corrupt, which was why Vallon was able to avoid getting prosecuted for the car bombing on Murphy.
Very underrated reboot. I was 100% sure this movie would suck and it ended up being very very good.
This needs a sequel
No matter how much you hate this movie, this scene is just pure awesomeness.
simple...just give every cop a AR headset ...that solves all the problem when its connected to database
Nope, data overload is a problem, as humans have a very limited ability (compared to electronics) to process that much data at once.
@The monster under your bed that isn't the case because we're already beyond the ability of humans to process information NOW... making 'Distributed Denial of Service' attacks on the human brain far easier...
@The monster under your bed That puts the risk of having important information left out... so that isn't really possible. :(
yeh that'd be awesome,, not
@@TheTrueAdept Blame Cognitive Ability which sits extremely low compared to computers
0:15 "He's more machine, now, than man." Wait... full-black suit, red details (visor/saber), only his face is ever seen (plus hand, here), emotionless... they built Darth Vader! All he's missing is Force powers!
Absolutely LOVED this film - much more so than the original 👍
Fr
ikr?
In the original he kills way more people than the police should be allowed to, the reboot fixed that problem.
You are under arrest.
This was kind of a perfect scene embodying this War on Terror version of Robocop
When he leapt off the stage.... that crowd cleared out faster than a blues bar when somebody puts a mid-60s John Coltrane record on the jukebox.
RIP Michael K. Williams (November 22, 1966 - September 6, 2021), aged 54
You will always be remembered as a legend.
Thomas King, you're under arrest! - RoboCop
I love the sound that the heads up display makes!
His lawyer: Maybe he just wanted to turn himself in then out of nowhere this robot guy shoots him like what's up with that
He Also wanted to test if robocop actually worked
God I hate lawyers who support obvious criminals. Theres no point. How do you sleep at night when you're defending a monster?
@Kyle Emory yeah I know that but still. Scumbags, the lot of them
@@thefinalanubis pretty easy to sleep if you convince yourself to believe in a lie
@@thefinalanubis At the same time you have to watch people you absolutely believe are innocent and good get convicted because you failed or let your biases get in the way. It's a very difficult job but if everyone in the system does their job properly people should get treated fairly

I didn’t remember this movie so well, but I knew I loved it

Follow up question
WHATS IN YOUR WALLET?!
so this is how vulture was able to make th suit in spiderman homecoming
SLJ did a really good job playing reporter given the fact that he was most likely standing in a room with nothing in it.
this movie had alot of problems, but this scene was awesome
When Samual L Jackson said “this is the future” I was expecting him to follow it up with “what’s in your wallet?”
I'm a wanted man and what a good idea it is to be near police hq and see in person the robotic cop with advance ai face recognition. - Thomas King

He is mastermind. Mr glass🤣
I actually liked this movie for the concept and how this could be better tbh it does have some really good acting disturbingly good effects
One of my problems with this movie was that they integrated his family into the story. What made the first RoboCop amazing was that he was trying to get back to them, he was a cop 100% of the time. Yeah his wife visited him in the second one, but he knew that would be a terrible life for her and allowed her to move on. "Your husband is dead, they made this to honor him."

Murphy doesn’t have much either.
this movie was absolutely amazing
2:40 also I'm here to talk to you about the avengers initiative Mr robocop
I hope this movie is on Netflix
Of course, it's not on Netflix.
LMFAO
The real heroes are the crowd that parted so quickly and efficiently.
I actually liked this movie...Shame there was no sequel
people complained there was not enough violence in it, remember when people complained movies had too much violence? critics just cant make up their mind
man, this scene got me smiling :)
I am a big fan of Robocop since childhood
Normally, I absolutely despise reboots or remakes of ANYTHING done right the first time, ESPECIALLY 80's... but this version was well done, and didn't get the credit it deserved
This guy Samuel L.Jackson always rocks those hair styles so damn good!
Robocop was very thorough in reading a suspect's miranda rights. I like it he was very fair.
2:05 they aint dam robots with superbrains

In the future this is how they will indentify criminals.
Robocop is like detecting every people in front of him thinking there may be danger man he badass
Sam Jackson dropped the most satisfying F-bomb at the end of this movie. One allowed in every PG-13 movie and he maximized it.
That was the one of the best scene in the movie.
Your telling me with all that tech that city cameras don't have the facial recognition in it.
This scene is excellent. Him ignoring his family and social norms because he *IS* a robot (or a zombie, like the technician says).
Sam Jackson is awesome in any movie
Mrjlee93 He’s pretty awesome in just about anything he’s in.
Even Deep Blue Sea?
Some Random Guy He was actually one of the better parts of that film in my opinion.
I had no idea this movie existed. I'm 5/10 clips in and I am hooked.
I really love those footstep sound
