    A police vehicle hit my friend's wife's vehicle this week, and she followed them to the station so they would pay for the repairs of her vehicle. Guess what Nigeria police did! They threatened to kill her if she didn't leave the station. And because she insisted they pay for the damages, as she entered her car to leave, one of the policemen aimed and shot at her (thank God the bullet missed her). They told her to call her husband and that they would kill both of them and nothing would happen. But when her husband arrived the station, and they realized he was a big man in government, they all began to rain down apologies.
    When Seun Kuti slapped Nigerian police, that slapped was for all the oppressed poor masses in the nation. Imagine if that lady's husband was a nobody. This incident happened two days ago in Cross River State.

    • @vecta001
      @vecta001 Год назад +63

      Lol when I was saying it that the slap was coming from a place of anger. Anger that the police has caused over the years. I still insist that the IGP with other top police officers and low ranking officers should do a live appology to all Nigerian youths for their misconduct all this years and affirm better performance moving forward

      The public should stop accepting abeg from the police. To end the impunity by the police, victims MUST sue the police for damages. When the government sees the increasing cost of retaining erant and corrupt police officers, they will hold the officers accountable for their actions.

    Not saying anything for now but will have to watch if this good job of CP will continue. Then Nigeria police should learn to monitor any discharged officer , because discharging them and leaving them move into the street will be more disastrous, those discharged without normal monitoring were the ones committing all sort of Criminal things .

    He is not the only policeman guilty of this act of extortion in the line of duty. The percent of decent, incorrupt police officers in Nigeria is not up to 25%. He was disciplined and dismissed because of other reasons beyond his criminal act. Those asking for, and collecting bribes on Nigerian roads and checkpoints, from people are equally guilty. But how many has been sacked? They won't as long as they make returns to their superiors in the office. The commissioner also may have done a similar thing, or even worse, as a junior officer.

      In Nigeria, the humble don't survive. Humility is seen as weakness and those who display humility are bullied and victimised. The society has lost all form humanity , what is even worse, is that Nigerians exhibit the same behaviour in the diaspora, which becomes authentic savagery in a civilised society. Shocking still is that Nigerians see nothing wrong with their behaviour.
