My brother loved rhubarb pie and my mom loved stewed rhubarb and rhubarb cake. I wouldn't eat anything rhubarb when I was a kid. I do now! Both ate also in heaven. Miss them much.

John I just made your strawberry rhubarb pie for a family Sunday dinner. It was a amazing! The crust was so tender, flaky and delicious. The filling had just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. Everyone loved it and said that I could sell it for $30.00 a pie. This pie crust and filling is my new best recipe to make. Thank you!

I made this today for 4th of July. Fresh strawberries from Jones farm in CT and rhubarb that I transplanted from my dads garden. It holds special memories. It came out great. My family loved it. I just need to wotk on the pie crust a bit more to perfect it. Your videos are so helpful. 😊

It was hot and I couldn't be bothered to make pastry but I had some filo pastry in the fridge. I made your filling but, instead of 3/4 cup of sugar, I used just less than 1/2 cup of muscvado. ( I love the tartness of the rhubarb!). Then I made a strudel instead of the pie. It was really lovely. A great success. Thank you.

Looks delicious! My favourite pie is a rhuburb pie, i got my recipe from my grandma! We hint it with a little cinnamon. We hint a little braedcrumbs under the fruit in my country. It will soak up the liquid and the tast and it going to be a thin creamy layer almost indetectable.

Rhubarb is the best. The greener the rhubarb, the more pectin it has. So the pie will thicken and not be as wet from the strawberries. Apple rhubarb makes a great pie too! Thanks for the recipe

I use small pearl tapioca in all my fruit pies. I also mill down Old Fashioned Oats in the Food Processor, to course Oat Bran. Works great as a thickener, in crumb topping, or as hot cereal.

Rhubarb pie in general was my Grandpa’s favorite when he was still alive. It was only when I was about 16-17 when I finally tried it for myself and understood why 😅
