@@chrisoakley5830 I was looking at the track list for the album and wondered why I didn't remember it because I wore that cassette out. Just listened to it again; It's a good song, but the other ten songs on "Nature of the Beast" are great songs! For me it was a ten-way tie for favorite song. Think I put every other song from this album on mix tapes.
      The Rockers:
      One More Time
      Crash and Burn
      Wanna Rock
      Bad Boys
      Big City Girls
      Future Tense
      Tellin' Me Lies

February 1981, Rush just released Moving Pictures and I was listening to it on my walkman in the backseat of my Grandma's Plymouth Reliant. My uncle was in the front passenger seat and turned around to trade cassettes with me. He handed me April Wine Nature of the Beast (released 1 month prior) and I gave him Rush. The moment the tape started, I was blown away and completely hooked. Loved this band ever since. I grew up in a small city in Central BC in Canada. April Wine was one of the few bands that would tour to our city. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS BAND. It is my all time favourite band. Had "Stand Back" on an 8 track (Yeah, I'm that old!). We would party at a cabin at lake, which didn't have electricity. So we hooked the sound system to a car battery and blast that album at full volume as we played beer drinking games like caps. We knew we could jump start the sacrificial battery at the end of the night - if we weren't too drunk! It always bring back great memories. Rock on!
Band was originally from the Maritimes, but settled in Montreal. A great song, with a wonderful twist is "If You See Kay". ruclips.net/video/VjLAepX5UNQ/видео.html

I think I've seen them 9-10 time live, and had the good luck to see their lead singer, Myles Goodwyn in a small venue with my daughter. We sat right up front, about 10 feet away. It was great. The April Wine album "Harder faster" is awesome. The song "Say Hello" is a good one. I still want to own a silver 1970 Plymouth Duster that is the cover picture of the album.

I can't tell anyone not to show their passion for their team.
Yes! the NFL season is here, 1 game & down 17+ games to go.

If you go back to early 70's April Wine you will hear a few different sounds. You may be surprised. They had a hit with an Elton and Bernie song called "Bad Side of the Moon". Drop Your Guns is another one. "You Won't Dance with Me" is a Crooner? "Wouldn't Want to Lose your Love", "Like a Lover Like a Song" is soooo goood. Then you get into the later 70' and early 80's with "Rock n Roll is a Vicious Game" the rocker "Oowatanite" and the power ballad "Just Between you and Me".

Much love from Canada. April Wine is such an iconic Canadian group from my neck of the woods, Atlantic Canada. I saw them live about 20 years ago. The song I kept listening to over and over as a kid was "Babes in Arms" which was never a hit, but I LOVED the riff. I would love to get your reaction to that one, but if we're sticking to hits, where to begin? There are SO many... I remember "Oowatanite" playing so much on the radio in the 70s. And of course, there's the ballad "You Won't Dance With Me", and the fabulous "Rock n' Roll is a Vicious Game". Another great Canadian band you haven't checked out is "Trooper". I listened to "3 dressed up as a 9" SO much. Man, I pretty much wore out that album! LOL
