One of the best flutists in history!
EVERY TIME! Every time when U watch a video of you playing encourages me to keep practicing
I have the same emotions! He is a great flutist
I had no idea that this piece could also be so beautifully rendered on the flute! Thank you so much for your fantastic performance.
I saw his performance right in front of me tonight. Audience in the concert hall held their breath for about 40 minutes. How can such a small instrument create such a powerful impression? If there is anything different from six years ago, only a page turner pedal for tablet has been added.
I can't find words for describe such performance. Bouriakov, you have find the soul of the flute! No more words.
Send this to twoset violin
Yessssss
yes but tchaikovsky drop over now ;-;
So true
Two set needs to see REAL musicians
@@irinabalatsky1625 Hilary Hahn, ray Chen, maxim vengerov, etc not real enough?
I am Demoralised and inspired equally!
The composure and outright brilliance of Denis Bouriakov’s playing leaves me unable to grasp how this is possible. He is truly the complete musician and player,.
As Galway was in his generation so this flautist is in his. I’m so lucky to have heard them both
( as well as Rampal, William Bennett, Marcel Moyse, Julius Baker, Susan Milan, Wissam Boudtany, Pahud.........)
I think this Crimean is top of my list though. I love him!
A typo: Sorry Wissam Boustany
I like how you say "I am demoralised and inspired equally". It basically sums up what I feel during every great flute performance video!
You are so right. I've been blessed to have seen live performances and met most of the flutists you named.
Stunning. Since became familiar with Bouriakov, can't listen to any other flutist
he is pretty special
Oh my goodness ... flute god !!!!!!
Level: GOD:)
Igor Kiklevich beyond God...
This is wonderful!!! I've been waiting for this since saw Tchaikovsky Concerto music on your website! Looking forward to see you playing this with orchestra!
Dmytro Gnativ I believe his performance with orchestra is On RUclips
@@chazboy61able can you share link? I can't find it
Wow, transposed to F major as well! Super!
He fills the entire space with precious brilliance.
Unbelievable! Fantastic!
Astounding!
Non ci sono parole😍😍😍😍
Great! I love your tone colours. You are such an inspiration for me as a flutist. And for many other as well, I'm sure.
I'll definitely put this piece on my list, so cool!
Niesamowity!!! wszystkie rejestry wspaniałe, cudownie
Que excelente versão !! Parabéns !!
Amazing!!
I've eargasm when I watch this pieces
Stunning !
Awesome 🤩
Just amazing! Thank you for sharing the video
Fantastic!
Simply brilliant!
WOW. This is amazing. Thanks Denis xx
Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great. I was impressed.
Congratulations! Fabulous playing :)
Thank you.....
Beautifully played! Looking forward to learning this one day :D
Amazing !!
Love this concerto
Ethereal and amazing!
A brilliant transposition to flute, and the orchestral reduction is really good as well. We all know how amazingly Mr Boriokov performed this piece, so...
Increíble.
ingenious performance!
We now need only an orchestra.
Sensational...
Tchaikovsky also wrote a flute concerto, but it was lost and reconstructed by James Strauss.
Wow!!!!
Really distinguished performance! He stands on another step.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻muhteşem
Thanks for the mind trip! 🤗
olive4naito I know, right?
I love the kitty in your profile picture!!! So cute!!!
@@collectorofcats294 Thanks! He's really big now, lol!
EVERY TIME!
WOW ^^
Give this man a symphonic orchestra to play with work please!
Almost unreal
When will he perform this with an orchestra?
I would love to learn this on flute but I think that my cats would kill me because of the high notes... they aren’t flute affectionados... my boy, Fred tries to bite my hands and one morning he bit my upper lip because I was working on high notes.
That happens to me, but it's my daughter bitting my arms
I havw cats and play flute and i really do not care what duke thinks this is my house and he got no right to tell me i cant play flute i m the human and he is the cat
This is MADNESS..😵 except it’s so awkward in F major
Im puffed out listening to this and thunking aboit his lung capacity.
Master you should have played the intro melody, maybe doubling, maybe just the flute but something is missing with the piano only...
I wonder if his arrangements of violin repertoire are meant to mimic violin technique/sound as close as possible on the flute or if they are meant to showcase specific flute techniques? Either way I hope he continues to arrange violin music.
Depends on the arranger and performer!
I would imagine that it is to bring the piece into the range of the flute as the violin range is lower
@@joolsnorth1410 I think the pizz in the original Tchaikovsky was mimicked very well

Is that a ling ling?
VinnciKun 2 Piece definitely needs to do a video about this and Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso...
@@collectorofcats294 yeah
jesus
Awesome performance but the piano doesn't do it justice. This is like a Heifetz level performance and a piano just wouldn't cut it with Heifetz.
not a fan of transcribed pieces for flute. We have enough repertoire. You dont see violinists playing flute concertos. That said.. Bouriakovs technique is killer!!! Bravo!!!!
Ummmmm wha about khachaturian concerto!?!???
Also Prokofiev Op. 94 was a flute piece transcribed for violin :p touchè huh?
But dont fret I kno how u feel, I heard a clarinet piece transcribed for flute, sounded weird sounded kinda wierd to my ear lol
@@gcg8187 Khach was for violin originally, no?
There is no such thing as enough repertoire...
olive4naito I agree with you 100%!!
are you kidding me?
ThaNk you🙏💕💕💕💕will u marry me ONLY KIDDING
This piece on the flute is terrible.
@@marklegrand1367 I'm not a flutist and I have not a flute to play. My opinion is only my opinion. I respect everyone.
I respect your opinion and I think I’ll give mine. When I saw that there was a flute arrangement for this piece, I was definitely concerned that it wasn’t gonna be good. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I think the arrangement is great and that the flutist did the piece justice. I’m definitely a fan
Oh and also, the only problem I have with arrangement is the cadenza. I feel the flute is the soft and gentle to play it compared to the violin
Probably not the best piece to be played on the flute.
I wonder though how the same piece would sound if played on the violin and piano, and with this pianist in particular.
I find the version piano-instrument particularly ineffectual.
Try playing Mozart Flute Concerto no.1 (G major), no. 2 (D major) or Flute&Harp on the violin... it will sound terrible.
