- Watch us make 400 hp with Tommy's Stock RB20DET. He also still has the stock exhaust and intake manifold. We're able to use much of the stock components and still make some power. We utilize the stock fuel rail and upgrade the injectors to ID1050's. Upgraded turbo is a direct replacement for the stock turbo.
We do run into a bit of a snag when we discover rust in the gas tank. We take a look and see the sending unit is rusted and he will need a new gas tank as well. (we do replace this at a later time) We end up cleaning up the sending unit and flushing the tank best we can and get the car back up and running.
Tuned on Pump 93 first impressive 397.9 whp
Tuned on E85 413hp
Most likely is now being held back by the stock manifolds. However good numbers for a replacement turbo and no fabrication needed.

What ecu upgrade would u recommend for a r32 sedan with auto trans? And do you know if they have a separate ecu for the trans so u can use any or is the trans ran off the main ecu?

With the link do you need a separate boost controller or does the ecu handle that. What kind of waste gate set up are you using? Is it worth replacing the fuel rail with the injectors.
I might be dumb but I’m trying to plan out my rb25 build.
Link controls the boost with the additional boost solenoid.
This turbocharger has an internal WG like the stock one.
No fuel rail upgrades are needed. The RB25 has side feeds though so you may have to change it on a 25 engine.

Why running 1050cc injectors?
Isnt this a little to much for just 400hp? 630 can also run this power.

1050's are the smallest you can get in Injector Dynamics. This is the brand we prefer to use as we have noticed problems before with other injector brands.

I’ve got some questions maybe you can help? So when I’m at 3-3.5k rpm and I put my foot down the car feels very very slugging like it’s choking and has loss of power and the rpm

Turbo blown? If so I got a brand new Aeroflow 6262 .84 t4 turbo going on
Could be many things, look at spark, fuel and tune to start :)

What about the head gasket and rods at this level? I was taught the rb20 needs head sruds and gasket upgrade around 400whp? Still oem oil pump?
That wouldn’t be a bad idea, however we have run this power level with stock components with good luck.
