Very valuable lessons, I'm clocking 23 in 3 days, I've been making music for 5 years too, I decided to go all in and become a full time music producer, this year, but I'm not gonna lie I've not been consistent, I'm not getting myself out there, it's funny how my girl told me the same thing this morning, that I should get myself out there and show my face, own my brand... I'm talking too much, but yeah thanks BB, I'm gonna start doing this, so I can become successful a producer too. To anyone reading this, don't dwell in your down moment, remember why you started making music in the first place, that'll help you to make more and better music, have a good day 🙃
Video comes so perfectly for me to learn from. I quit my job 5 weeks ago to go all in as a producer. I’m making Beats everyday, uploading on my channel as much as i can, sending them out to people and trying to get some attention on social media and working with artist is everything i do. I just feel that these 5 weeks already have been so fantastic, just making music and enjoying what i love. It‘s hard to start from the bottom with only a little amount of money, but i feel like it will be worth it. To everyone who thinks about doing this too: It already helped me a lot. I improve my skills so much and can feel that i get much more used to making music and i‘m getting so much better at it like everyday. I would always take this step again because i‘m growing so much with what i‘m doing right now. Thank you for the vid BB, really helps me out as a motivation! ❤
I've been there and I advise you strongly to still have something that pays your bills at least a little bit. I had tracks with 250k Clicks, Gigs in France and Berlin and still it wasn't enough to live off it, which got me more and more stressed, the shorter the money got and influenced my relationships heavily. I still learnt important lessons from it but keep it in the back of your mind and if you notice these things getting influenced, act on it :) Enjoy your time, we all love good music!
@max klähn i saved some money i live from now but i know what you‘re talking about. Of course it‘s not easy to make a living from it but i came to a point where i really needed this. Even if it won‘t work i‘ve already learned more than i did when i just had my free time to do music. There is just something with this everyday routine about it, that makes me feel it a lot more and helps me making better decisions. We will see what the future brings but even if it gets me to earn 50% of my money i‘m closer to where i want to be :) i think everything just needs a beginning and this is mine. Of course my feelings can change and maybe i need to get some money from somewhere in a bit, but that‘s ok if it is so. :) But thank you for you‘re kind answers!
im same situation with you bro! lost my well paid job and decide to make my music a full-time job , now i've learn so much on music and mentally , still not yet make a beat sale tho but i believe its all going forward , even tho its hard but its worth it , felt like shit happened because the god is testing me if im worth enough to live my dream
As a 30yo who went through the industry from 19-24, got out, did the adult thing and built a '"career", and am now producing again and chasing my dream, I must say I'm so refreshed and inspired by your humility and bluntness, let alone your wisdom of the process. Followed and shared your account before I was done watching; looking forward to more content and to see your journey progress brotha
Dude, I was a ghostproducer for 5 years and supported by many big dj artists, huge labels such as Spinning records, armada, STMPD records and much more…I made a lot of money but the problem is it made me depressed as hell, it gave me panick attacks, anxiety issues, sleep problems…I had to quite from my doctor because of my health issues because it was eating me alive….Being a music producer is very hard work. Too bad I don’t make tracks anymore…Because of my burn-out, stress, health issues. This is why most famous producers have depression…
Make music for the sake of enjoying what you make, it makes it so much easier. Less pressure = more fun, don't go into with the expectation of making money or hitting a certain deadline.
As someone who turned 25 and is studying full time, it's so difficult to produce music consistently. Sometimes you'll feel like you're too old to even make a career as a full time music producer. Great tips by the way, there are realism in there!

Bro i became unemployed recently and i have so much time on my hands. I’ve been using this time to make music. And learn as much as possible. I’ve been getting so much better at creating songs that i really want to flip the switch and go pro.
Being at the age of 28, this video gives me the encouragement to start working towards my music career. I already have a Donner electronic set, a DAW, laptop, an interface, bass guitar and a MIDI keyboard. Thank you! I need this video!
Way to go on all your accomplishments! It’s not easy for many in their early 20’s to have as much discipline to living a healthy and time-managed life than what you have shown us. Also, thank you for your personal help over the last year with my music production questions over Instagram. Many people don’t give their audience that one-on-one connection. Keep at it!
i actually appreciate this video. it’s much like the hundreds of others i’ve watched, just bringing up the same things be consistent, make it a priority, and prosper through it all enough to see the other side, it all makes sense and is simple in concept and i guess i just relate a lot to you so maybe this resonates more with me personally but either way i just like the delivery here.
Best video I've seen in a while. I'm finna be 21 in 2 weeks and been evaluating my 1st year in my 20s as a lesson. I need to manage my time and money better if I'm trying to be successful with my career. Just glad to know someone else out there can relate

I hope I meet you one say and get to say thank you in person.
i’m 21 right now, about to turn 22 at the end of the month. i’ve decided that i’m going to be a professional music producer and recording artist. i just recently learned about the importance of having a schedule when pursuing that and this video was a big help 🔥🙌 thank you for all the hard work you do!
I feel like sometimes whenever you are going through tough things, it's easier to sit down and just make something usually 2x better because of all your emotion piled up.
Wise words. I'm in this boat as a composer/music producer, and I keep running into discouraging technical issues that keep me from wanting to work on music. Thanks for the video
Hey man, I think I needed those words, so thank you - especially about the social medias, I’m not putting myself out there enough, and you’re right this is the world we now live in, so let’s surf this wave instead of missing opportunities. Also about health, I can do better. Thank you I really needed that 🙏🏼
I’m stuck in a never ending loop of making tracks I like, mixing them down, checking them on different speakers and headphones until I finally decide the track sucks and I just suck at making music. I just want them to sound good enough to post on soundcloud but when I listen to producers I like their tracks sound so much cleaner and full.
Take your time. You'll get there.Invest your time into learning how to mix, treat your room, get decent hardware for shaping the sound. Read a book or two about sound engeneering. I'm on the same journey. I've actually decided not to make serious efforst before I will have a decent studio. It's a waste of time. I play music every day, improving my piano skills, learn some music theory and save on proper gear as it helps a ton to have the right tools.
I know what you mean, I’m in a similar boat. But just post it. If you all you do is compare your music to others then you’ll never start posting which is how you receive feedback, build a fan base, find people to collaborate with (which is a good way to improve). Consuming content and social media will always be part of a creators job, but i think it’s better to not compare yourself to others and post what you want rather than focus on what others do

But, the more I've learned about music production, the more my fears have shifted to other things. Now, I'm not so worried about other people copying me, as I am just trying to fukkin finish a damn song. I used to think my ideas were solid gold, but really, they're nothing if I can't figure out how to evolve them and turn them into a complete idea, and in order to do that, sometimes you gotta copy/get inspiration from others.

I desperately needed to hear someone say that you don't need to quit your job to become a music producer and that time management can make it work. I started do one hour of music every day before work. This way I still have the energy for it. I failed to do it consistently after work so I think this is a good solution (we will see, haven't tested it long enough). Also if you can do home office, 20min Yoga during lunch break is pretty nice (this I tested long enough :D). I can also relate to the 'scrolling' problem. I'll give your tips a try. Thank you
don't know you , but the algorithm brought you to my feed. just want to say great video man super accurate and very helpful. It came at a perfect time for me. subscribed just for that
Good video. I put these 3 habits in motion a long time ago...LOVE the point you made about surrounding yourself with people that do what I do. Had to cut all the dead-weight people who were just around to see my progress or see me fail. both of those types of people are just energy vampires.
Thank you for this post. Inspiring to listen to considering im currently enrolled into full sail University. Where im studying music production. This video answered all the question I had. I hope you are getting to your goals. 👍It gave me confidence that with the resources that i already have. With this method i know ill be ready for what ever opportunity that comes. Continue to inspire. Ill have my videos comin soon😀.
i graduated with my BA in music production a year ago. Im in a period of wanting to either quite music or my job for the other. Ive been struggling for weeks with music. Ive wanted to stop even though for years I've told myself and others "As long as you keep going there's literally no reason it wont happen" I needed this video, so thank you. Time management is my biggest struggle, and its time I truly discipline myself. See you on top. you see it too. Edit: Going through these comments.... Its like I'm finally finding the people who think the same way I do and feel the same. This is an amazing video
Time management changes my life I always told myself that i dont have enough time for my making music session. But then i realize that i just lack of focus. To everyone who struggle with those time mangement. I just want to tell you that you just need to focus on everytask of your life. If u go to school in the daytime, try best as you can. Try to note everything, try to listen to your professor. You can spend the afternoon to review what u learn on school. And then, u have the whole night 7-11PM, it's 4 hours, u can do anything you want, u can do it very comfortable without any thoughts.
Got COVID and literally sitting in a single room, quarantined from my wife, making a soup kitchen of beats.. Lol Good video, man. Thank you for the advice!
This was incredibly helpful. I just discovered your channel and am already a huge fan. It’s so refreshing to see content for producers that isn’t JUST how to make beats, but talks about bouncing back from a bad day or prioritizing physical and mental health. This info is so valuable 🙏🏻
I clicked on ur video purely because i had an incredibly good show on New year and everyone seemed to be disappointed that am not doing anything about it publicly. So i wanted to just see how things are going and i ended up crying and throwing away the joint in my hand. U literally addressed all my fucking fears and my lazy ass personality. This is the 1st time i actually wanna hug u for speaking so deeply about my fuck ups and how u overcame them. Thank u. Thank u endlessly. Ive always taken my crazy talent for granted and be satisfied just with peoples reactions when i blow their brains out but it was just an illusion for me to stay lazy and just teach kids and forget about the potential i have. Am gonna fucking surpass u one day. And tell u in front of you that you made somebodys future by just showing up on a camera and speak ur mind. Much respect for you brother. Salam
I’ve been producing since I could walk. I’m 36 years old now and haven’t made a penny working for my dream.. it has been the craziest thing to think about, that I am either more talented than most ppl I come in contact with on a daily basis, yet I don’t make nearly as much money as them and struggle. Oh yea, I forgot to mention, I was addicted to drugs my entire 20s which led me to prison for 5 years!! Is it so much to ask to simply support your family with something you love to do? I’m not even greedy.. I just want financial stability and to reach the world with my beats! I mean my beats ARE THE NEXT BIG BREAKTHROUGH!! If there anyone here that can point me in the right direction… I just want to provide for my 1 year old and start my career!! I’m way to talented!! And I’m sure others can relate!!
I've been doing this thing where I stop working at the top of the hour to take a little break. I'll go do some push ups, grab a drink of water, check my phone. But then when I sit back down, I keep cookin til the top of the hour again
this was actually so helpful. like, I know all this, but the way you presented these things put them into perspective and made them easier to digest for my (officially diagnosed) ADHD brain. thank you
I'd smash this like button multiple times if I could bro. I love your authenticity and want to let you know that it really shines through in your videos. Your message, mission, and genuiness of providing value first are all so heartwarming. I know you're already crushing it, but am very confident you'll keep growing. Proud to be a new sub!
I'm sedeing this in 2024. My little brother and I are about to start something big. And this most certainly helps push the most important things anyone can have in their life. Very well put together and well said!
Inspirational as always homie. Just last month I decided to build that habit and post daily, but I can't lie my content game isn't strong. But I posted anyway just to put my name and face with my music. Who can show your brand better than you? Anyway, I would love some tips about making good short form content, any advice? Maybe that would make a great video for you to make next time
Im actually about to drop a course on how I basically only use my phone and a free video editing software... but like anything else it basically just takes practice and trial and error
I really dream to become a good music producer honestly, I've been writing songs and singing them, but now I want to make it, I want to turn my dreams into reality, I am just starting out, can you make a video on this? Because I get so demotivated while learning, I want to know what to do and follow and how to learn correctly as well... I feel like I started late and people also tell me my dream is unrealistic since I am a girl and I want to be a music producer myself... But how do I tell them, the art in my head, I want to draw it... it's so hard to draw, so I want to learn it and do it full-time… Because that's my passion... I feel miserable.
This ain’t music production advice, this is life advice. Great words 🔥

of course! Thank you!
This is an awesome vid. Can't wait to start posting stuff on TikTok, RUclips etc just gotta hone in on where I can get it in. Thanks for the video
Thank you
So happy I could help!!!
This is litterally the exact video I need
so happy it helped!
don't know you , but the algorithm brought you to my feed. just want to say great video man super accurate and very helpful. It came at a perfect time for me. subscribed just for that

the screw it and move on and keep focused was so important for me. thanks for your videos and social content. I'm learning a lot.
Love to hear it 🦋❤️
Good video. I put these 3 habits in motion a long time ago...LOVE the point you made about surrounding yourself with people that do what I do. Had to cut all the dead-weight people who were just around to see my progress or see me fail. both of those types of people are just energy vampires.
4:25 real shit
yess!

Man i needed this fr 🙌❤️🩹
happy to help!
i graduated with my BA in music production a year ago.
You got this!!

Time management changes my life
I always told myself that i dont have enough time for my making music session.
Facts!!! Stay blessed my friend!
Full-Time Producer here for over 25 yrs. Great video and tips!
Really resonated with the time management tip, thanks for sharing the tips :)
For sure! Thanks so much!
Loved this. Thanks man
Of course!
Got COVID and literally sitting in a single room, quarantined from my wife, making a soup kitchen of beats.. Lol Good video, man. Thank you for the advice!
gotta love those sick beats!
That consistency part resonates!
NEED IT!
The struggle is real, We all have moments where we stop. But we got to bounce back.
Right!!!
This is exactly what i was looking for what i needed. Thanks, bud.
This was incredibly helpful. I just discovered your channel and am already a huge fan. It’s so refreshing to see content for producers that isn’t JUST how to make beats, but talks about bouncing back from a bad day or prioritizing physical and mental health. This info is so valuable 🙏🏻
Wow thank you so so much!! Means the world!
Salam
Thanks for the tips man, really helpful 🥳
no problem! Stay blessed my friend!
Thanks for the tips man...
Love your studio set up and decor
thank you!
I've been doing this thing where I stop working at the top of the hour to take a little break. I'll go do some push ups, grab a drink of water, check my phone. But then when I sit back down, I keep cookin til the top of the hour again
im boutta do this thanks bro
Love this!!!
Thankyou for the positivity! 🙏 I was feeling so low lately this video really lifted up my mood. 🫶
always! You got this!
this was actually so helpful. like, I know all this, but the way you presented these things put them into perspective and made them easier to digest for my (officially diagnosed) ADHD brain. thank you
Great insights, keep it up, this was super helpful!!

So happy I could help thank you!!!
I'm sedeing this in 2024. My little brother and I are about to start something big. And this most certainly helps push the most important things anyone can have in their life. Very well put together and well said!
good stuff 🔥
thank you!
yeah this was a great video
so happy you enjoyed!
@@BeautifulBeats99 cool. I am using my phone and power director app. I just gotta step my game up from one camera angle of me just finger drumming.
Great video bro! Great points! Let's go!!
Happy to help! Thank you!
1 of the biggest habit that you forgot "believe in yourself when you do it"
true!
Thank you😊
no problem!
Why am I always the first...?😭😭💖💖💯💯
you quick my guy I must say haha
God blessing you my men! Im starting to do that 3 months and things do it well! 🙏🏻🎵❤️
I feel miserable.
you have to understand that these things take timeeeeee! Put in the work and stay on your path.. your journey will be different form others!
