- The road trip adventures continue! After Arizona we made our way to Texas via New Mexico where we had a fun little stop in White Sand Dunes Park.
Then we visited San Antonio, Austin, New Orleans and Palo Duro Canyon State Park with some random little stops in between - Natchitoches, anyone?
Long days of driving, lots of music - New Orleans was definitely our favourite and kayaking in the Louisiana swamps with alligators was quite the experience!

As a New Mexican, I can agree that the areas you mentioned are kinda boring but you need to give it another chance if it's ever possible!! The culture, nature, and food we have are all incredible and it makes up for a lot of other undesirable things like crime (if you ever do come back, just be vigilant and don't ever leave anything important in a vehicle). NM is one of the most beautiful states and it's something you can never experience anywhere else.

Hey, you were in Natchitoches, that's like 40 minutes from my house! Don't worry, nobody says it right the first time, lol. (Nack-a-tish) And I used to live in Amarillo which is right near Palo Duro, it's such a beautiful place.
I lived in New Orleans for years, definitely stayed in the safer parts though. Definitely notice the smell every time I get out of the airport there.
New Mexico boring? Did you go to Santa Fe and the Georgia O'Keefe museum? Lots of famous pueblos too.

Loving the vlog series!! Can you share any tips on how you make sure Miso is comfy in motel rooms when you go on outings? I would love to take a trip like this with my dog, but he gets very stressed when he's alone in a hotel room and will bark :(

my mom was sick(she had a cold, and this was in the 80s i believe) when she went to new orleans and a man tried to pick pocket her. She reached in her pockets and yelled, "What do you want? I only have tissues!" and probably some curse words. My grandma was probably thinking, "Oh my god." and shaking her head. But yeah, just be careful! Much love to everyone :) have a great day
