I'd personally rather a successor to Caesar 2. With and updated engine we could have a merger of Caesar 3's city building, with a provincial map from Caesar 2, that would allow for battles similar to Total War. Only keep Caesar 2's option to turn off the provincial aspect of the game, if you aren't interested. I'd be in heaven if someone did that.
I'm always conflicted, when people give low ratings to maps/games, because it is too difficult. Yes, maybe me or him won't be able to enjoy it, but it is not same as a plain out bad thing.
In my university days I would return home for Christmas, where an old crummy PC was set up, not good for much, but did have Caesar III installed, and I often would feel the urge to fire it up while home for the festive period.
@ 19:00 re: Judean killing power, all jokes aside, I find Judea a really interesting piece of history. The tiny province waging a guerilla rebellion against the Seleucids and eventually (with some outside distraction) getting independence.
So with the different types of wine, does the game actually keep track, or does it just check that you have X number of different wines accessible and extrapolate? Pharaoh has a similar thing with luxury goods (jewelry, ebony, and... I think there's a third one, but I can't actually remember what it is) in the later missions, and I assume it would use the same system this does, more or less.
Caesar 3 has a very basic way of tracking Wine. If there is wine in a house, then it has wine access. If there is a wine workshop and wine is set to import, or there are 2 cities that sell wine to the city, then there are multiple wines available and patricians can evolve further. It doesn't matter if the warehouses are unable to accept imported wine or if your local wine producers aren't even connected to labour.
It just assumes all wine present counts as both types your people demand, as long as you are importing some. I don't know if there are any cases in either game that demand three of the same type of resource, or if you can import both luxury good (jewelery) and luxury good (ebony).

I always like to watch when you're messing with Toga-Boy.
"I don't need the game to tell me when I've won"
The Jews and Ceaser took that personally.
So good to see even more cesar III lately.
I hope one day Jake is just approached by a group of Devs looking for his fan input in producing a spiritual successor to Caesar 3

No, it's the Ceasar 3 Map of Judea!

Don't worry about the hippodrome @ddrjake, at least it was just an adjustment and subsequent lazy/lost engineer. It could have been an earthquake...
I see the binging is getting worse. Excellent!
someone has the map link for download?
here you go: caesar3.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=1663
Great video! at 21:04 the caravan sounds are different than the original. Is there a sound pack mod?
Yes, I take some voice overs from the community for various characters in Caesar 3. This is one of my favourites.
@@DDRJake could you please show me also from where to get them? Thanks in advance!

You're like the one guy that doesn't play on Augustus mods.
Augustus just doesn't click with me, I like a more vanilla experience.
