- Bass cover of Forget Me Too by Machine Gun Kelly & Halsey. I was planning on covering Breathe Deeper by Tame Impala, but I decided to delay it and MKG was able to release a pop punk album in 2020 that is mainstream lol. I also decided to try out Ernie Ball Cobalt strings for once instead of Elixirs. The Ernie Balls sound great on day one which I expected, but I'm curious to see how long they last compared to Elixirs. Enjoy the cover!

Ernie Ball strings are the best strings out there, they last a very long time
Great cover! I can vouch for the Cobalts. They're good strings and they seem to have a good amount of longevity.

Dope cover and great bass tone as always! I’ve found that out of all the brands I’ve tried, Ernie Balls sound the best straight out of the package but lose that brightness the quickest.
I can’t stand the sound of dead bass strings and it’s hard to EQ the brightness back in without adding too much clank and string noise. That’s why I’ve always gone with Elixirs whenever possible. I’ve also gotten some good mileage out of Cleartone Coated strings.
Thanks dude! Yeah I've feel like all strings besides the Elixir die out quickly, but I decided to give these a try since they seem pretty popular. Hmm never heard of Cleartone Coated before, maybe I will have to check those out too.

@@MattPlaysBass25 Same here . Been playing 10 months . Which I know isn't a long time but I've been a vocalist for multiple bands and played guitar up until 8 years ago. I use primarily finger style but learning the guitar really comes in handy when a song requires a pick. Any I digress . Ernie ball is the king of strings on that precision and jazz bass. Do you play in a band or do studio work ?

These Cobalt Rounds sound awesome...I give them another try now. I really like the Cobalt Flats, but the set of rounds I tried sounded really bad. Maybe it was just a bad set.

Brand new strings, Sansamp Bass Driver, and Darkglass Alpha Omicron, and a P Bass are the keys for recreating this tone. There are probably cheaper alternatives to the Sansamp Bass Driver & Darkglass AO but that's what I used for this cover.
