    Thank you for reminding me how enjoyable architectural model making is. It’s easy to forget in the complexity of the rest of a project why we started.

    Thank you for your video! I was wondering, do you think you can print an entire project only using 3d printer? And in smaller scale like 1/200 1/500 ? Perhaps a resin printer could give us the details needed?

    • @geddan
      @geddan  8 месяцев назад +1

      Oh absolutely you can! I'd say down to 1:200 you can use regular FDM printers and from 1:500 you'd need to use resin , so that you dont loose detail

    Really inspiring model and project! However I'm just a student and I'm curious how would it work structurally? Like what could the roof be made out of and what would support it?

    • @geddan
      @geddan  Год назад +2

      Thanks! The roof supports itself as a (mostly) compression-based shell. The two points where it dips down and touches the foundation create an arch between them which is structurally sufficient to hold the whole thing up. It would be made in parts (around 2x2 meter segments), custom mold cast from concrete, with reinforcement. These parts would be assembled on-site and then finished with a second concrete layer coating on top.

    this is epic. Hey man, which sandpaper did you use for the 3d printed parts? actually for everything lol
    akira is so cute btw

    • @geddan
      @geddan  2 года назад +1

      I used two types - 80 grit to get rid of bumps and 160 grit to prep a 3D printed surface for gluing (better grip). And yea - Akira is indeed cute!

    Where did you buy your 3d printer and what's the model type?

    • @geddan
      @geddan  Год назад

      It's an Ender 3 v2 , just got it from amazon : amzn.to/3PZHsQP , it's good, cheap and does the job.

    What is concrete imitation? is it an actual product?

    • @geddan
      @geddan  Год назад

      Just a "concrete color" spray from a local hardware store. There are plenty of these (at least in north europe)

    Hi! What kind of printing (FDM or SLS)?

    • @geddan
      @geddan  Год назад +1

      FDM! SLA is too small and SLS is too expensive
