This crew at GMG right now is one the best ever hiring Josh and getting Coy back was an epic move on Richard's part been some really cool projects rolling out lately keep up the awesome work guys
Good on you Richard. Love seeing you detangled from Discovery and seeing you flourish. Kudos to you on your vision and ambition. Wishing you all much success! Great content carries on!
Been a viewer since what seems forever. The crew you have now is the best you've ever had. In coaching terms, they literally are bought into the offense and understand defense sometimes wins the game. Your number one asset clocks out at the end to the day, every day.
Richard started the project with " I don't think my wife will ever want to ride on the back but just in case " to " There is no place for my wife to sit on the back "... 🤣🤣😂😂
I just started tuning in ,this guy Richard and his team are so talented and very creative people,I'm 60 years old and find these builds so interesting 👍
That bike is siCK!! And after what Harley Davidson has done, y'all should receive an award for sticking that Honda gas tank on it. In that regard, it would have been even better if you had left the Honda badging. lol.
I have been a huge gas monkey fan still it's inception and didn't realize they were on RUclips! This episode was brilliant and was kind of how the show started with Richards ideas being built.. more motorbike videos please Richard ✌️ thanks from the UK
55:35 Paint job turned out great, but I think it would have been better in the green and gold combo.... Especially with the gold numbers on it. It's not too late. Give you something to do after Sturgis. 🤣🤣
I can just listen to these guys for hours, best mix of fun, childness, skill, and buddy insults out there, the boss is pretty good also. Always entertained, thanks
Remember the black elongated cone shaped exhaust Honda used on the early 70's XR75? That would definitely give this motorcycle the early 70's dirt bike feel.
I hope you read this Richard, I have to say ' you have an absolute awesome team.' I hope they get a Gas Monkey treat to show their appreciation. Top vlog, love watching your show. Keep up the good work
Great Bike. I had a brand new 2017. Dealership didn't want it back when I went to trade it in just a few months later. My wife rode on the back of mine in the rain on the Tail of the Dragon all the way south to the falls. Had a great time. Memories! That rear Bobber fender threw water up and over her and down her rain suit until we fixed that with her hood up and a new towel. Gotta have these experiences to remember and talk about. Was a ride to celebrate our son graduation from engineering college and his lady friend (now his wife) who graduated undergrad U of I. We had such a great time and I wish I had not traded that bike off.
Richard, I'm 60 and I wore readers for five years. They ruined my eyes get prescription glasses. I know all about everything falling apart but I'm hanging in there just like you although you're doing a lot better than me. Keep doing what you do just not wearing the readers.🤣🍺👌
Absolutely love the build! This is pretty much a 2013 Harley XR500/750/1200 build but with a fat bob. What would have been easier was to use a tank from the 2013 xr500. Its very similar to that honda tank and has the fuel pump built in. BUT I do like the honda tank lines better. They made some of the most iconic designs that people love. Great build.. miss the bike builds. Making me miss my Harley custom 1200xl with fat tires. I dont have anything to ride anymore. Don't forget a dynojet power vision tuner... You will thank me later...
Was checking the FatBob out during a recent visit to our Harley dealership, is possibly one of the more modern contemporary models, with the sincerity exception of theys handlebars! So good show there.
Mike you should have just gone to the K&N site and about a K&N washable filter and they'll most likely have a mounting bracket that will do what Richard wants and when filter gets dirty just waah it out!!!
Richard the KING OF SHOPS , this old army vet been enjoying your kingdom from the beginning I think we're related brother, have a spare harley laying around for your lost brother? ,rock on!
this bike is gorgeous. seen it in the last video and almost asked about it im so glad yall posted this. AMAZING makes me want to ditch the dirt bikes and buy a harley fatbob
I can’t believe how well that tank fits. It front even has the same rake angle as the fork tubes. I didn’t like the white wrap, but at the end it’s got a burned look, nice.
That Honda tank really pops! Great idea!!!! That really made that bike look good!!! But it looks like it holds a fraction of the fuel the original. Going to nred to fill up every 10 miles. Lol

But I wish Tom was back too.
Good on you Richard. Love seeing you detangled from Discovery and seeing you flourish. Kudos to you on your vision and ambition. Wishing you all much success! Great content carries on!
Literally the first time ever in history I’ve ever seen Richard actually work on anything in over 20 years.. I just about had a heart attack. 💯
Go watch the tator tot video. He did a lot in that one too
Richard you have a great crew keep the videos coming Gas Monkey 2024 good luck with the bar
Been a viewer since what seems forever. The crew you have now is the best you've ever had. In coaching terms, they literally are bought into the offense and understand defense sometimes wins the game. Your number one asset clocks out at the end to the day, every day.
That seat looks incredible! Nice job on the bike guys. It looks mean.
The best GMG episode for a very long time. More like this please.
I saw the bike at the New GM bar and grill in Sturgis this year. Definitely looks cool! @dannytattooflash
Richard was mad about scratching the tank one minute and then the next minute he has them chop it into pieces 😂😂
Richard started the project with " I don't think my wife will ever want to ride on the back but just in case " to " There is no place for my wife to sit on the back "... 🤣🤣😂😂
Damn Richard has the same glasses that I have ….so I must be cool …. Right ?
That thing is fucking epic. Gotta start building bikes again if they keep coming out like that!
I just started tuning in ,this guy Richard and his team are so talented and very creative people,I'm 60 years old and find these builds so interesting 👍
I remember people hating josh but damn that dude a genius and really good at his craft.
I've been sleeping on the RUclips episodes. Loving the shop dynamic and actually getting to see Richard get creative
That bike is siCK!! And after what Harley Davidson has done, y'all should receive an award for sticking that Honda gas tank on it. In that regard, it would have been even better if you had left the Honda badging. lol.
This comes to show you what a little of creativity can do. Nothing really big but small things added up at the end.
Get You Some Of That 🤘
Hell yeah
That's what we what.
Woo
Less Gouuu 🎉
Richard just wait till you're 70 like me and still living like you're still 30.....Doc made me give up my dirt drag bike, after two heart surgeries.
Can't wait to see more of Sturgis and the new business venture there.
🇺🇲🏍🏍🇺🇲
Mike is hilarious 😂 the patina comment was crazy 😂😂
So glad you guys are still making content.
I have been a huge gas monkey fan still it's inception and didn't realize they were on RUclips! This episode was brilliant and was kind of how the show started with Richards ideas being built.. more motorbike videos please Richard ✌️ thanks from the UK
This the type of GMG that I really enjoy , fabrication and thinking out loud ,, turned out amazing and the seat was first class too. WOW
55:35
Paint job turned out great, but I think it would have been better in the green and gold combo.... Especially with the gold numbers on it.
It's not too late.
Give you something to do after Sturgis. 🤣🤣

As much as Richard can seem to be abrasive, I will say he has a great vision of “coolness”. Sweating the details a true sign of a visionary… 😎👍
They rewrote cool after he was born
Exhaust is a little off to me. Other than that I like it. 9 out of 10 score. I'd ride it.
He learnt a lot off Chip Foose
Dude did an amazing job on that seat. True craftsman.
One hell of a great show. Look forward to it every day
Just what we needed just now a great motorcycle video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice job guys!💪
Mike another wicked paint work👌
Nice ride RR!
Hey guys it was nice to see the GM G like the old days of watching a project build. Do some more , this was classic GMG👍
Now that’s a good looking bike dialed that in perfect! Enjoyed this video keep em coming
I hope you read this Richard, I have to say ' you have an absolute awesome team.' I hope they get a Gas Monkey treat to show their appreciation. Top vlog, love watching your show. Keep up the good work
Josh you're an extremely talented fabricator. Much respect my friend. 👍🏻🇺🇸
That's a badass of ride 🤯❤❤
Great Bike. I had a brand new 2017. Dealership didn't want it back when I went to trade it in just a few months later.

Love this build. Seeing it start to finish in 1 video was awesome. Richard has a really cool creative mind.
Thank goodness for a build video. Finally..... Great job Guys. The bike looks Awesome. So well done.
That machine is frickin cool! I love the fat bob and you just made it even more awesome! More bikes please 🙏🏻
Get you some of that. IPA 🍺 🍻 of course a 77 bandit one. Keep on rocking. Go 9ers.
This is probably my favorite GMG build. Beautiful bike.
Looks amazing, great work team. Will look great beside the Thornton Triumph.
Richard : are we going out to fight
Mike : we can😂😂😂
Awesome! Get you some of that! 👍👍👍 I wish I was there building the bike with you!
Hey now there's an idea. Gas Monkey interns. All them fortune 500 companies use them. Comes with a signed Gas Monkey crew shirt and a hat.
Loved this. Great looking bike. Lots of good build tips. We’re starved for bike building shows
The RR 1 is OUTSTANDING 🏆👌 I thought the tank was meant to be green as well 🙈✅
The baddest new old machine out there to date. Great work guys!
Richard rocks.......on this bike.
I wish i could also build a bike from GMG.
Waiting for new builds
Get you some of that.........🏁
Great video Uncle Richard from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲
love this build! was awesome to watch this video guys. great work.
Wow, that was a nice build. I am not convinced about the handlebars and the metal hand guards. Anyway great GMG episode ❤👌 👏 🏁💨
Richard, I'm 60 and I wore readers for five years. They ruined my eyes get prescription glasses. I know all about everything falling apart but I'm hanging in there just like you although you're doing a lot better than me. Keep doing what you do just not wearing the readers.🤣🍺👌
No line bifocals are a thing.
Didn't know that!
Good to know thanks!
The readers don't harm your eyes....That's just nature running it's coarse
My wife had eye laser surgery a few months ago. Couldn't see sh!t with glasses, near nor far. Now without glasses she sees everything perfect!
Richard's initial idea with the gold for the graphics on the tank would've looked sooooo good. Either actual gold, or brass.
Great bike build, not convinced about riding in shorts & t-shirt though.
Looks great RR and crew! Well done
Hope you don't run into any Hell's Angels , they'll have a problem with that looking like their Death head patch !
Only real bikers know what that is … I’m sure the 81 will give him some education
Beautiful respect lads great job.
love the build. the new tank just makes it.
We love Mike! We were all thinking it!
Get you some of that! Great build!
RUclips shows blows away discovery Channel , I watch them all, no comparison, love the work,
Looks great guys. Does Mike still have his shop near the border? I like his Netflix series.
Nice build guys. Looks awesome
Josh with the safety tip on cutting tanks, right on! With today's society, someone would have tried and probably wouldn't have drained gas first. LOL
Don't forget a dynojet power vision tuner... You will thank me later...
Good to see you still at it great work
This is one of there funnier videos with Richard more involved with the garage work! Make more of these
The best GMG episode for a very long time))))
So how does the 81 feel about the Death Head on your tank ??
I’m sure you’ll find out ….
Awesome content !!! 👍🏼🙌🏼
I would have done a faded green on the flashes behind the skull on the tank as well as the silver !! Amazing looking bike definitely nailed it
Cool bike.....
But that flying death head might be crossing some lines
Might be trademarked.
That's what i was thinking.
Yep same here
Richard will owe the red and white crew a bunch of beer during Sturgis
My first Harley was a Frankenstein Harley bobber and I loved it I don't ride anymore but I love what you did to that bike
This episode is my favorite out of everything over the past few weeks .
Was checking the FatBob out during a recent visit to our Harley dealership, is possibly one of the more modern contemporary models, with the sincerity exception of theys handlebars! So good show there.
Don’t want to believe this tank thing!
😮
RR showing his creative jucies😊 something haven’t seen in a bit
Love the click and its done ! Genius
Great looking bike. I had a similar gastank on my Honda cb 125 1975, back in the seventies.
Awesome. I just watched your sturgis video and thought the bike you were riding was awesome looking and boom a video of you guys making it. 🤘
Mike you should have just gone to the K&N site and about a K&N washable filter and they'll most likely have a mounting bracket that will do what Richard wants and when filter gets dirty just waah it out!!!
Absolutely love this crew! Been following since Foose…
4:09 the look when you back-trace your steps to see if its really set in "public".
This is not my type of bike but I absolutely love that ride. Congrats on the great work
LOVE ME BIKES,GREAT EPISODE ❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🤜🤜🤛🤛🇺🇸🇺🇸
From someone who builds Honda Choppers that tank on that bike looks good.
Enjoy your time off CHAMP and thanx for all you do brother.
I can’t believe how well that tank fits. It front even has the same rake angle as the fork tubes. I didn’t like the white wrap, but at the end it’s got a burned look, nice.
Id be careful using a winged death head on your tank
IKR!😂 He should put a big 81 next to his RR...
However, it is a fkn cool looking bike!
Yep …real bikers know what that is
I love your bike Richard it looks so nice and custom it will fit really good in Sturgis great choices on the bike customization
That Honda tank really pops! Great idea!!!! That really made that bike look good!!! But it looks like it holds a fraction of the fuel the original. Going to nred to fill up every 10 miles. Lol
What a cute bike for him fits perfectly 😂😂😂
richard's process is no doubt a challenge, but it sure turned out cool. nice work guys.
Looks great, but I’d go low rise cafe racer type handle bars and off white/gray wrap on the exhaust.
The drive from Choctaw to Dallas is a lot of fun. Set the cruise control at 100 plus and let it rip…..
Saludos Richard desde Guadalajara México 🇲🇽 🙏

32:36 I liked the patina on the old tank matching the color of the side pipes.
You are right
That looks sick, bro, sweet job !!!
Welded my first gas tank when I was 18 or so...... 45 plus years ago and now hell just add a few sparks and let it go poof 😀
Looks awesome! Nice work guys.
