I could listen to Chris talk about his collection for days. I enjoy when someone has such knowledge of the history and engineering of their cars. A true car guy.
It has been an honor to see your television program and now your RUclips channel and see that freshness of the art of making true jewels of automobiles is preserved, and from an old car, polish it and turn it into a diamond. I have seen several TV shows on various platforms but I follow you because your Garage Monkey team makes us live the day to day of incredible car changes. Thanks for your work and keep going. It has been exciting to continue watching each chapter. From Mexico the best for you.
Richard all I can say is respect!!!! You have truly earned everything you have, all a man can say is you rock!!!! I wish you the best, u give this old man something to smile about during the extremely hard times my family is going through Thank you
Chris has such a knowledge and collection of pictures and facts about things he own. Such a fantastic collection of cars. He could open up museum while making tours telling visitors his stories.

I watched Mike Minette build the Digger. I knew Mike Haley that was his shop partner on Reeder and they both worked in the engineering department at Rochester Gauges on Harry Hines while I was in the tooling shop there. I would love to see this car again.
I remember watching and talking with Mike while he was working on the Digger at his shop off of Reeder. I worked with Mike Burkhart across the parking lot. I almost got a ride in it. Glad to see it is still alive.
I love the garage trips where we get to check out different cars and projects along with gaining knowledge about cars that are heritage pieces as well as works of art. Digger will find its way home...
I have been away from the show too long, and now I am a loyal follower and customer. Richard you bring back a ton of memories I truly appreciate that more than you could possibly know thank you sir I am a loyal follower.
Ha! I remember seeing that car when I lived in Dallas in 1985. I had no idea it was some famous car. I was just blown away that somebody was out cruising around city streets in a dragster.
As sad as it is to sell your baby it would be reassuring to know that he won't change a thing but preserve it's provenance/history and only do minor tweaks. And his sketches are truly amazing!. Overall one helluva guy and his appreciation for the builders original vision and willingness to preserve that is unmatched in my opinion. This was a great video and I thank you as always GMG for sharing the story and journey with us all. 🙏🙏🍻
I love the episode it was a good one and the drag car is awesome so hopefully Chris will part with it. Can't wait to see it done and on the road. Thanks again for another great episode.
A man is only as good as his word. Chris made a deal and shook hands I’ve been there many a time and regretted it later but I gave my word and I stuck to it. A few years ago I had a guy offer me a collectible guitar from a famous musician who was an inspiration to me I made a deal the guy backed out a year later he reached out he was in need of money and was willing to let the thing go cheap and I told him no thanks even though I wanted it badly! It seriously pissed me off that he backed out after we had a handshake on it.
@@jimmycline4778 now he was jumping at the bit for that car I would have loaded it up and left the coop for him to drool over and you would have had both titles in your hand and the digger in your shop the next day?
Here’s a little tip to anyone watching this video about buying cars. Never look to excited about a car until the deal is done otherwise you can relight the spark for the owner to want to keep it. I thought Richard and Chase was going to start humping the exhaust pipes in this vid. Also take a trailer big enough to remove it straight away and pay the man cutting the connection. You know what I mean Richard hahaha.
Richard Rawlings you are the man to sell 28 cars for 1 million is the bomb and now going after something that you wanted is even more badass have a good day

You showed some class at the end Richard talking about the deal going sour with your friend Chris. It's easier to come a cross a good car than a good friend. Good friends hard to find.
How good of a friend is he really, though? If he wasn't ready to sell his car he should've politely said "it's not for sale".That being said, once a deal has been made and you've shook a man's hand it's final and the deal should be honored.
