    Tried a bowl for the first time on rollerblades today...it was a lot of fun and very satisfying! A little scary as I've only skated on flat ground. Took your consideration of hitting my "target" at a 45, just gotta work on getting a little more height. But today was just getting adjusted to what sharply curved terrain feels like :)

    Guys before you carve, draw a line.
    I sprained my ankle and knee practicing this yesterday. Don't get lazy😀😊

      @@KevJaz thanks Kev&Jaz ♡.
      It's Day 2 of healing and it feels 50%better.
      Idk if I'm healing fast or I have a low pain tolerance but yeah I hope it gets better soon so I can start some balance and joint strength workouts for rollerskating

    Good, easy-to-understand video. It's nice to see Kev carve with a different lead foot each direction, which is how I do it. I always just assumed it was my skiing background. I don't get as high as Kev yet, but I'm working on it! I also like how even his turns are in both directions. Mine are fine to the right, and sketchy to the left.

      Yes, have seen people carve both ways with same foot in front and also change lead foot each direction, seems to be skater's preference! One direction often comes more naturally than the other for most of us...thank you for watching, hope this helps your carving practice :)

      Try to keep them staggered, one in front of the other, about hip width apart for more stability

    How to carve a bowl fakie, on rollerblades/aggressive inlines👍 is it possible to begin carving slow fakie ? Can you show how to?

    • @KevJaz
      @KevJaz  4 года назад +1

      Carving fakie is tricky, will have to think on that...thanks for the idea!

  • @ELthatsLoreel
    @ELthatsLoreel 3 года назад +1

    But how do you go around the entire bowl

    • @KevJaz
      @KevJaz  3 года назад

      Each bowl is unique, look it over and think out the line you are going to carve through the bowl using the same method shown here, pumping down into the pockets and up the walls to carve...and if you run out of momentum you can skate/stride across the flat bottom a bit then go back to carving!
