That looks very delicious and very crispy. I will be adding flour to my salmon from now on. Also, I never had fresh Onigiri in America before. They are only available in some Asian supermarkets but its usually cold and filled with dry meat. Do you have any delicious home recipes for onigiri? I would like to try several fillings! Thank you!
Man... I just wanted some music to begin my day at work... Now I want to cook, eat and travel to japan again. It is strange how this vid put me in a good mood. Thanks! i'll try this one tonight and won't forget to use butter ;) おつかれさまでした
Made this tonight and it was AMAZING! Thank you Champ! I've never made my own teriyaki sauce before and have never liked the bottled stuff, but I love the home-made sauce. I am going to try it on some yakitori skewers next.
If I remember right, you asked in a previous video a long time ago what people would like to see. It would be amazing to see and hear 1 Japanese word a video. Just a small thing. Tasty, crunchy, spicy, cold, anything.
Ryosuke-san, thank you very much for this easy and healthy recipe and your special energetic vibe!! It is always such a pleasure watching your videos!🙏🏼
I was supposed to cook this dishes for my girlfriend and me. But she broke up with me so i cooked this for myself. I really had a great time and enjoy this teriyaki sauce so much. Thank you Chef !
Wonderful work as always. Funny enough I use a closely related sauce of my own device. It's a balsamic honey sauce with garlic. You basically substitute cooking sake with white wine, soy sauce with balsamic vinegar, and once it has cooled down I usually add some fleur de sel. Other ingredients and proportions are the same.
Beautiful dish champ. Love me a good salmon dish. Two questions. What is your preferred ingredients to adding spice to a thick teriyaki sauce? And two. Were you a fighter before being a culinary king? I wanna hear a fight story!
In Japan for spice we usually go with Shichimi - which is a type of chili powder mixed with other seeds and spices. Maybe that would go well if you're looking to make it spicier! Maybe not in the sauce, but on the salmon with sauce would work better. And I actually trained as a sushi chef for 3 years before becoming a fighter! I'll be sure to tell you guys more stories about that in some videos coming soon!
Hey Champ! I just moved in to my new dorm in Osaka! I notice some of your recipes call for alcohol, which is not allowed on campus even for cooling. What would you reccommend as a substitute? Thanks for the videos!
I tried this and I think you have to reduce the amount of starch if using potato starch. My sauce thickened instantly and became a sludge, not runny at all. I can hold my kettle upside down without any of the sauce running out.
Hey, quick question. Would ginger be a normal ingredient to add to teriyaki sauce in Japan? I enjoy making and eating it with ginger, garlic, and green onion but that's more of a Chinese thing I think. It's always best to learn the original recipe first. Thanks!
That's really weird, i've all your notifications activated but i don't see your videos anymore and i don't know why, if i don't search for it it doesn't pop...
I hope you enjoyed this super easy recipe! What other things would you want to use this delicious Teriyaki sauce with?
Pork slices
I love it, Champ! I can't wait to cook this for my girlfriend!
If I wanted to try this with beef, would just suggest stir frying some thin beef slices and then tossing them with this sauce?
Mom and dad made awesome chicken teriyaki dinners when I was growing up. Now I understand why.
How about a teriyaki hamburger?
My family has started to eat more fish recently, so this came at the perfect time! I love Japanese food and they like fish, so it's a win-win! 😁

I have been living in Japan for almost a year now and I am always looking for new dishes especially with fish to try. This looks great. ありがとうございます
This one is a super easy beginner recipe for fish I think - often salmon will be sold like the filet I used today in super-markets! Give it a try!

I was so happy when I saw the green onions. When I was watching this being prepared I kept saying to myself “this needs green onion”
Beautiful dish champ. Love me a good salmon dish.

@@ChampsJapaneseKitchen thank you! Looking forward to it!
Thanks, Champ!
Hey Champ what pots are you using? They look super practically.
Could you show us how to make Japanese Gyozas (Japanese Potstickers)?????? They’re my favorite snack/side dish to have!!!!! 😁
Hey Champ! I just moved in to my new dorm in Osaka! I notice some of your recipes call for alcohol, which is not allowed on campus even for cooling. What would you reccommend as a substitute? Thanks for the videos!
Not long eaten lunch and now I'm hungry again after watching this😢
I can fry salmon all the time. However, I haven't tried using it with Teriyaki honey sauce. I'm going to try this next time.
love the video. i wonder if leek would be an appropriate replacement for the negi. i say if it's good enough for farfetch'd, it's good enough for me.
You CAN use them as a substitute - but please keep in mind a leek is a bit tougher than a Japanese negi so may take extra time to cook
Tasty and easy to reproduce, thanks for the recipe !
I made this tonight! it was great! I did put a bit too much soy sauce, and a I only had some sake instead of mirin, but it still tasted pretty good!
How long does the sauce last before it expires? I plan to make a lot of it to store.
Do you know how to cook Oden? Cause me and my son always ask you for it.

"... adjust it by how many people you plan on talking to tomorrow!" Yes, I _thought_ that looked like it could have used a few more cloves!
Can anyone link me to a video on him just making teriyaki sauce if he has one?
Gazell punch?
I love watching your video recipes~!! 🥰
I wish this channel make Saba fish tutorial. Thanks
hi can you make beef don?

Not a fan of salmon in general, but this looks too dope to pass up, chief

Sir it's really stressing me out that you are using a metal spoon in a non-stick pot. could you stop?
Is this teriyaki?
"Teriyaki" is a cooking method, but it is interesting to call it "teriyaki" without using "teriyaki".
