I'm 56 years old and when I grow up, I want to be just like you!!😁 Keep up the EXCELLENT work!!!
Lol 😊 will do!
All your tanks are wild and I'm here for it!!!!
Woot! 😛
So glad to see this channel crest 100,000 subscribers! Well deserved for the amount of work put in!
Thank you so much 😀
Maybe in your Asian jungle try switching your tank tops from light diffusers to actual glass or clear acrylic so the plants get full light spectrum unfiltered.
Hopefully they don't filter color spectrum as they are intended for green houses, but it could be something to try if I don't see good results from the current changes.
I don't normally leave comments before watching the full video...but that was the BEST INTRO WITH MUSIC OUT OF ALL RELEASED VIDEOS!!!! Don't stop that, perfect editing!!!! Setting the hook was perfect.
Don't raise the bar on me Joe...it already takes me 2 weeks to get a video out lately lol 😊😊
@@AquariumDomain. I know how you feel, it's been almost 3 months for me! Life is too fast and too busy! But...the intro was perfect by taking the music out a little further.
@@TheirWorldAquatics I appreciate that and I appreciate your feedback, always trying to improve what I can....and lord knows my videos have a lot of room to improve 😊
Jeremy, I have been watching you for a couple years and you definately have a "few" nice tanks to look at....about maybe 30 or so of them LOL. The 4500, Preditor Bay, etc, etc, etc,. Your most amazing tank to watch though....is the 600 Gallon Asian Jungle. The combinination of fish, their activity level....go ahead and love all that other stuff...and we do...but that Asian Jungle tank is the BEST you have...your most entertaining tank in that entire basement by FAR. Love watching your channel and I always look for a new installment. Fish on my friend!!!
Thanks so much Vince! I also really enjoy the 600 AJ as it is, but hopefully the changes I am making to it now will improve it....I really want to see all those Barbs swimming through an actual jungle 😊
Your tank builds and the knowledge you hand out inspiration thxs
Thanks! 😊
Everything is coming along well with the new builds and I like the fact that you inspect your work in case you have over looked anything & in this case the screws for the floor board for the 1200g. The 600g & the 4500g are on auto pilot and they look amazing. Can’t wait for you to stock the 4500 with more fish. The plants on it are growing so fast. Great job.
Thanks Rogue! I've been doing fiberglass work on the double 1200 gallons all day...I need to start using my respirator...getting too much of a contact high 😛
@@AquariumDomain. Don’t forget the beer breaks as well. Lol
@@RogueAquariums I'm on a beer break right now! 😛
Man you're crushing it 😂❤
🙏
Can’t wait for the “shark move” video
I have a feeling I am going to get soaked during that video lol 😊
@AquariumDomain. let's pray you don't get bit too, them some monsters now!
@@thatoldbalddiyguy2939 They are no joke for sure 😊
@@AquariumDomain. Yes, I’d say you will 😜
I love the red tail/rainbow sharks. Do you have a video where you talk about them in more detail? You have an interesting stocking for them, and I've never seen the white tailed ones. They catch my eye every time you show that tank.
There are other videos on this tank, but nothing like a species profile or anything like that for the rainbow sharks.
It's wild how much money in just wood you have in that room.
screws too 🤯
I try not to think too hard about that part...don't want to deter myself lol😊
I am sure I have bought at least a dozen $75, 25 lbs buckets of screws just for tank building 😊
You are the real deal king of diy
😊
I love the creativity in those filters. Using nature's systems to your advantage! Cat inspector at the end there making sure you didn't forget anything. Also, every time you said "fill work" I was thinking, "yes, yes I know I have to go back to work, I'm procrastinating, AD!" Can't wait for all these projects. Peace.
Lol 😊 still one more video to go with some phil/fill work in it 😊
Awesome progress! Just spotted a possible concern. Given that your estuary is behind the 3000... you might have to engineer how to lift glass on top of 3000 and then slide it somehow. You have a 90 degree turn there and your 3000 goes all the way up high so that might be a bear getting glass in there. I am thinking a combination of boards across 3000 and maybe tow straps or something to slide glass down to estuary and guide it over the rail of 3000 and rail of estuary. Whew... thats a good problem to have!
Hehe oh yeah that is known thing....the glass is definitely going up and over the 3000 gallon...no way those long panels would make it around that tight corner at the doorway. 😊
So cool
Great video. Your enthusiasm is always so uplifting and looking forward to seeing the builds completed! One thing, in the Asian Jungle aquarium, what are those fish that look like a black rainbow with white tips on the fins?! Never seen them before!
Thanks! Those were sold to me as Ghost Sharks, I believe they are just a different species or collection point of the Rainbow Shark.
Looking good man! So much work!
It is....but worth it in the end 😊
I remember Cory from Aquarium Coop dumping 1lb of bloodworms in his 800g with tiger barbs and clown loaches. Your tank definitely reminds me of that.
I remember that video too, he put a whole flat pack in there 😊
This basement is insane and I love it.
Thanks! 😊
I know you love your freshwater fish but can we get an update on the emperor angel tank or the tank with the French angel! Keep up the good work!!
They are in a bit of a holding pattern as they will be moved to the current Predator Bay tank once the Sharks move...but I can show them next video....see how much that French Angelfish has grown. 😊
@@AquariumDomain. would love to see the size growth! Thanks again
Ok, first of all. I saw it coming a few videos ago. Congratulations on the 100K subs, well deserved!!!
I have followed the king of dyi since he started his channel alooooooooooong time ago. And he got boring alooong time ago since he told all his knowledge years ago!
But you have taken the DYI to a new level, and thats why people seems to love you!
Keep up new good work man, I love everything you do 👊👊👊❤
The misspellingof DIY was intentional lol
Does dyi stand for anything?
Thank you! 😊 It really is going to be a fun fall/winter with so many big projects completing and coming online. I am looking right now at some of the grow outs for one of the 1200 gallon tanks! 😊😊
@@AquariumDomain. Yes it will be fun to see everything when its finished. Thx for answering :)
Great video
How about another barb tank but in a much larger scale, with XL barbs like masheer, labeo, tor putitora, phoenix barb etc? You will also be able to add your large clown loaches to it, if you could catch them😅
That is actually a setup I have thought about before, but I have never really found the mix of fish that I am passionate about to fill out an entire big tank with those kinds of species.
@@AquariumDomain. I had seen some of the big 'food fish' like labeo catla and labeo rohu in a pond, I don't know if their colors would change in an aquarium settings, but under the sunlight their red patterns are amazing. If I have a tank big enough as yours I would definitely try them out in an aquarium.
Coming along very nicely, Jeremy. I appreciate you sharing your experience as you go, especially the portions that don't go as intended. Some of us will eventually build tanks of our own, and it is great to see the learning curve as you go and potentially skip parts of that curve ourselves when the time comes. 😉 😁 😊
I am glad I caught the missing screws on that bottom plywood panel...that would have been bad lol 😊
@@AquariumDomain. that definitely could have created some issues 😆
Everything is looking great. It’s nice that you can review your work for any things you might have missed in this case the screws for the 1200g floor. The 600g is looking great and running on auto pilot and the 4500g is amazing. Can’t wait for you to stock it with more fish. 😊
Your aquariums are looking amazing, looking forward to seeing all your current projects completed.
Thanks! 😊
Looking great, but can you pick up the pace? I want to see those 1200s completed, filled, and stocked in the next video 😂😂😂
Haha Patients is key young grasshopper!
I could do that Whip, but then the next video wouldn't come out until October lol 😊😊
@@AquariumDomain. 😆 Well, then don't do that 😜
@@Whips_World 😊😊
One of my fav well my fav tank build series , I could watch for an hour , defo wouldn’t mind a longer video when you have the time , maybe see if others like a long video too…. Keep up the great work, see you on the next one 👌🏼👍🏻🫡
You are not alone on the longer videos, I'll see what I can do 😊
give a thumbs up for the cat. any one else hoping it would do something silly and still the show?
you're one busy dude down there in your man cave..er i mean fish basement. :)
I remember during editing seeing her walking around the top of the tank during the outtro....I didn't even know she was there when I was filming that 😊
This man gets shit done! I love it all!!!!!!!!!
Hehe 😊
The real King of DIY
😊
Another banger of a video brother! Thanks for keeping us updated during the build progress, things are starting to shape up!
Definitely! 😊
So incredibly talented. You do such a great job. Amazing
Thank you so much 😀
Can’t wait to see what route you are going with the 1200 builds! As well as the mangrove estuary. Hopefully some brackish water fish 👀 either way I’m pumped! Keep it up brother, Semper Fi
Thank you sir! 😊
Great video.
What do you use for the fill work over the screw heads and seems?
I used wood filler for a long time, but the past few builds I have been using gap filling adhesive from Adiseal and I like it a lot, easier to apply and doesn't shrink! 😊
Subbed , saw your channel on Mexicali
Awesome! Welcome aboard! 😊
What are the big pellets you feed your big fish?
Big Fella pellets from Extreme.
Nice! For glass framing, did you use 2x4s and then 2x3?
For the marine estuary it is 2x3's, and 2x4's on the 2 x 1200 gallon builds.
100k subs? I remember when it was like 2k lol
It definitely picked up the last year and a half 😊
Wow those clowns got big fast! Whats it been? 2 years? They look a solid 4-5” if I’m not mistaken.
Sounds about right on both accounts...though the one bigger Clown Loach may pushing 6+ 😊
@@AquariumDomain. damn!! I’ve had mine for 5 years and I only have 1 @ 7” the rest are mostly 5/6”
Can I ask, do you have a diagram for this filtration somewhere? I see the black pipes sticking out for some reason.I figure if I get going on my monster tank I do filtration right the first time
I don't have a diagram of the upflow filter, but I covered in the videos as I was building it...around Episode 99-103 range. Also you can find good information on upflow filtration from the Ed the Pond Professor YT channel as well.
Keep up the good work!
Yes sir! 😊
What putty do you recommend for filling the screw holes and gaps ?
I used wood filler for a long time, but the past few builds I have been using gap filling adhesive from Adiseal and I like it a lot, easier to apply and doesn't shrink! 😊
@@AquariumDomain. You are the man thank you for taking the time to answer questions truly appreciate your help I start my build soon I can't wait. Thank you Sir for the inspiration .
@@bk-nq1ev Absolutely! 😊
Is there going to be an issue of getting the glass into the estuary tank?
According to my measurements, no. (crosses fingers) 😊 The glass will go up and over top of the 3,000 gallon and then down into the estuary tank. It is tighter than usual, but there is room.
Are those two red tail sharks with white fins?
There are 6 of them...sold to me as Ghost Sharks, basically black body, white fins Rainbow Sharks.
@@AquariumDomain. Just to be sure sold as rainbows and not red tails? I.e melonostic rainbow shark or white tail red shark? Are they even any different in behavior from the red tails you have? I didn't see the white tails chase any red tails only othe white tails.
@@barebottomaquariums1419 Correct, sold as a type of Rainbow Shark.
How do you have time to do anything else with all the projects you have going on? Lol
Not easy...that is why my videos take 2 weeks to get out lol 😊
@@AquariumDomain. Full speed ahead!!!
Why do Aquarium Domain videos always go bye so fast!
Hehe...that's a good thing right 😊😊
I wouldn't like to say something unpleasant but for me "Asian jungle " for fans big fishes in this quite big tank should be full of big fishes like giant gourammy and many others from Asia (it's hard to keep with plants, I know). But now with these small for 20 gallon fishes looks quite miserable.
Different preferences I guess 😊
Hi I'm sorry but I will hold my opinion that you have hidden away that big long tank and you, or we yours followers, can't see and apreciate the total beauty and the majesty's of souch a big long tank in one view! You have covered it with the other 2 tanks. And you build another estuary long tall tank behind another tank...it looks like a hoarding tanks now. I wander when are you going to stop building and enjoy and apreciate yours bulids? Best of luck in all your projects!
I think part of the enjoyment is doing these projects. I myself am enjoying the time this summer getting projects done around the house and with my tank. During the fall season is when you really get to sit back, enjoy, and be proud of what you've accomplished. Nothing beats that feeling!
The photo in the thumbnail is from the room with the 600 Reef Slope through the doorway. If you walk into the middle of the annex you can see the 4500 all at once in its full glory...trust me I am able to enjoy it daily 😊
@@AquariumDomain. wonderful, maybe its just my perspective, I do apologise if my comment was to harsh. 🙏
@@cezar050681 No, your comment was fine. 😊
😊
To help your plants grow more try root tabs I like aquarium co.op's root tabs they will work better with stim plants and swords
Them barbs love to eat Duck weed
For adding root tabs to the 600 he would have to build a custom made depositor, and I remember seeing someone who has made a video doing exactly that but I can't remember the channel let alone his situation other than it had to be a huge Aquarium. Basically the best way to describe what I remember was a couple of rigid tubes and something else to make it down to the root zone??? 🥢
Chubz! Long time! Believe it or not I did add a bunch of root tabs the last time I planted the 600 Asian Jungle, but didn't seem to solve my problem. 😊
I have a giant pair of metal tongs that I use to manage the plants in the big tanks and put it root tabs, etc. They actually work really well! 😊
