Salut Sorin! Este stiuta foarte bine problema la butoanele de pornire de la sony vaio . Detin acelasi tip de laptop care porneste cand vrea el si se opreste cand lucrezi cel mai intens . Binenteles cand vreau sa il pornesc trebuie sa folosesc butonul assist. Adevarata problema este butonul in sine care inchide doua circuite la actionare.
@electronicsrepairschool my sony vaio pc only goes on after it has been off for a long period of time i guess after all the power has drained out, it only goes on for about an hour and the it goes off, when it on it start heating up and the fan starts to make some loud noise, yeah the charging light is always on but after it goes off when i press the power button nothing will happen, the assist button gives some light but for the power button nothing, but if i leave it for a month without switching it on when i plug in the charger and press the power button, thats when it will go on but not for a longer time.

Been into fixing computers usually on a basic level but never got down to motherboard level repairs but want to learn and these videos have been useful in that learning process I actually have 2 laptops that don't fire up I know one of them has a dead component on the power rail side but don't have the gear to remove and replace The second laptop I have sat here is an Acer laptop there is an orange light appear but that's about it pressing power does nothing and the power button is part of the keyboard and runs on the keyboard flex so not totally sure what pins to touch to try to fire it up
Greetings. My Acer Aspire 3 A315-54k does not turn on with the power button but when I press and hold any key it turns on but once I release the key it turns off. I would appreciate any suggestions on how I can solve this problem. Thank you.
Very informative, dear brother Sorin, can you give a hint, I have an asus, tried to check all mosfet, all doing fine, but symptom is not fixed, originally, when power adaptor is inserted, the board automatically turns on without display eternally. maybe a hint to stop or persuade myself to continue, thanks
@@derbidrd01 Nothing works, just automatic power when adaptor is plug-in, tried external monitors, nothing. Checked all capacitors, all is okay, not grounded. I suspect this graphic chip burned. It came from other repair shop, just hoping to revive it for my own use. Thanks, I always follow your videos,
@@NPOSK Yes in this case it could be the bios, ram, or cpu/GPU. You can try to flash bios with ch341, try different ram if it doesn't have onboard ram. If nothing works you and you have nothing to lose you can still try to reflow CPU/GPU
after I turned off my VPCSA4c5e last night. It doesn't turn on any more. when I connect it to power grid and push the power botton its HDD starts to turn. no boot and turn on its power leds. the battery well charg but it doesnt turn on
I have a Sony Vaio VPCF 13Z0E , it gets very hot , I have to force cool it with a an external fan laptop stand , I thought Sony where good , its made by foxconn in china . apparently they are all the same .

Apart from the broken ribbon connector, this laptop has 2 other issues. The battery is old and NBG, the hard drive is old and NBG. New battery and an SSD will rejuvenate this laptop.
I don't have a charger but I have that same laptop working last time it had power that I'm never going to use I was about to trash it or part it out👍👌✌️💯🇺🇸
I don't get it why people still use those kind of laptops. It's so old and very cheap and spending money to get it fix is more expensive than buying a new i3. People are weird.

Replace the connector? Connector from donor board.

Because they are very robust i am also using older laptops with linux and they run fine
