Loved the information. If you could add visuals such as: how the bottom looks on an actual locator, how to tie the double snell, the bait and how the strips should look and anything else that would be helpful. Every year a new group of retired people come from the North with a lifetime of fishing experience, but they have never saltwater fished. Thank you so much for sharing your information.
Way behind on this, but just wanted to say… great video, bud. I’ve watched countless vids on different fishing rigs/methods, and you had the most informative and straight forward one I’ve seen.
Thanks for this video in my country Mauritius. we do the hooks and line a different way. first, we used a weight of one pound then we start to attach 8 hooks to the mainline giving a one feet and a half between the hooks. At the top, we place 8 hundred pounds swivel. l agree at hundred per cent to use bonito for bait .another thing l place a salume at the top after the swivel.
How about when on a party boat, lots of lines means heavier weight is more desirable to stay vertical. Then add if the skipper says the ARS (off TX coast summer time) are 40 feet above the bottom...would this fish-finder/Carolina Rig be best or would a different leader rig be best and if so what kind? Dropper, w-way swivel, etc. etc. Thanks.
A great video, just what I hoped to learn about- how to rig my rod and reel for snapper. Regarding the bonita belly for bait, is that only available when you catch one and cut it or can bonita belly be purchased? Thanks again for all of your great videos. Learning more every time I watch. Major Tony
Hey Cap Hubbard are you still frequently fishing on your offshore fishing boats ??? Realize you have many hats to wear in running your business operations. Nonetheless you seem like a good egg to fish with... Thanks.

Where is this
hey 1st
Bro! Way to heavy for public numbers. 6/0 reel? It's only red snapper man, not 40 pound grouper. Just saying. Only my two cents worth
Grooper
Thanks for checking it out!
