I got mine yesterday. Even better than expected! ❤❤❤ I am in love. I'm a virtual bookkeeper. I need 2 screens and hate fighting my portable screen when traveling. I also love this small keyboard since I never use a track pad. IT did come with a mouse too.
I got mine a few weeks ago. It is an amazing device. I do not think I will use the virtual keyboard too much, but will try to be accustomed to it, so when a need arises, I can use that form function. Also, I do some programming on the side. This will allow me to look at code on one screen and type on the other, while I may be on the road. The temps on this thing are pretty good. Only issue I can note is, when using the virtual keyboard, I have noticed lag, when I start to type a bit faster.
I purchased this early on and I'm just fascinated by the dual screens. It's fairly fast though it does stutter some. The battery life is decent/good considering it has two screens. But to be honest I think this is perfect for a) people who absolutely need two large screens, b) those who can use it in an office, hotel room, or home office setup. But to be honest I actually found it cumbersome at times. It's just way to big for using both screens on an airplane. And it even seemed kinda weird using it in a coffee shop. And then the price - it's very expensive. So, I ended up going with the Asus Zenbook duo. I can use it in dual screen laptop form whenever it's open and the second screen with the keyboard is a real second screen unlike the 9i when the keyboard is attached. It's actually the perfect size for what I need a second screen for. And I paid less than $700.
Love the channel and the product reviews. I watch nearly all the videos on the channel. I appreciate the upfront disclosure. My concern with all YT channels that get free products to review is they pull their punches to appease the manufacturers to keep the products flowing to them. Plus, getting something at no cost will have some influence because there is no out-of-pocket expense that heavily influences expectations of price vs performance; it is easier to set aside some flaws when there is no cost involved. I can easily see a YT reviewer privately giving more critical feedback to their manufacturer's contact that is not included in the YT review, and they in turn appreciate the harsher feedback was left out of the YT review.
Thanks, Lon. Your reviews are some of the best, and your up front disclosures on impartiality is the gold standard that other content providers should follow. I agree on the AccuPoint "erasure head" keyboard -- I own that same keyboard and my work laptop has the same -- mouse control right next to the home row keys!
Emulating Nintendo DS would be a treat. 😂 I really don't know whether I would love this thing or hate it. I don't think there's a middle ground on this device for me. I don't think I could work on it without bringing a real keyboard. It would be great for play I think but if I have to bring something traveling I'd rather it be a portable monitor instead of a keyboard.
Thanks Lon, you answered one of my questions since first seeing the Yoga 9i and have the same question I have: When will there be a ThinkPad Yoga 9i? As a ThinkPad user since the ThinkPad 700, I wondered if this would work with my Trackpoint keyboard and the answer is yes!
I see Best Buy has 6/16/2023 selling date (today is 6/15😀) - Can any of the thunderbolt 4 ports support an external monitor as a 3rd display? - As for the two panels, I can imagine taking a class up top and drawing/writing on bottom. - Any possibility of supporting input or output for medical or assistive devices? - is the unit in this video for presentation only or is it currently or soon available for purchase from Lenovo in 2023?
@@msp5138 Lots of people have one mac and one PC. If I got this laptop I would have gotten MAC Studio. I care more about the pen support for my iPad than from laptop. The Windows machine i needed replacing was a 2017 Alienware R14
The burn in from the OLED screens is going to really suck if you never change the wallpaper on those screens. Gamers & streamers beware of static images or text on your screens. The glass looks like a finger print & smudge magnet.
Seems like this design with two 7-8" screens would be a killer device. A true digital notebook for media consumption, reading, and taking notes. Mostly useful in book mode but could act like a mini laptop in a pinch. Not sure why this isn't on someone's radar.
These days companies make products no one asking for and their promotional tactics make us throw tons of money on the gimmicks they offers and finnaly within couple of months we are looking to sell someone else so new buyers get trapped as we did earlier. I totally condemn it and we should discourage companies not to do so.
Video playback, per one tech RUclipsr, was 10 hours for dual screen and 14 hours for single screen. The Stand is designed to hold the keyboard and pen. Please learn about the product before you review it...
Kudos to you not supporting the CCP. I too don’t buy anything Chinese, when possible. Don’t buy an EV with Chinese batteries when you can buy one with batteries made outside China. However, if you must own an iPhone, there are no options. Hopefully, that changes in the future.

How certain can one be of their component-level sources? I was surprised at the history of businesses who owns what. Not the case here. If there’s a major flaw I’ll point it out.
SOLD OUT!! I can't find it anywhere, actually there are some for sale in ebay for over $4k, crazy
The perfect laptop for playing battleship
Ironically, it looks like you can't teepee the device, so no true battleship set up. 😞

If I didn't get a Macbook earlier this year I'd have this on order.

No touch screen, no pen support, no 2-in-1 design, no face unlock, etc.

Lenovo. I need a 16 inch 4k version of this laptop! Make it happen now!
There are replacement rechargeable battery+cap for Lenovo pens. FYI.
Does this have any kind of native external monitor mode, to serve as external monitor(s) for another device?
If I used Procreate on a 3rd gen ipad Pro 12.9, could I use Krita on this to produce line drawings pleaase?
What application do you use for note and drawing?
