As a telehealth and traveling healthcare provider this hardware would be awesome to have in my backpack. It would allow me to see patients on one screen and look at labs/x-rays and chart on the other. Can't wait for this tech to become more mass produced/improved

Out of the three configurations, I think the most ideal (for me, anyway) is the dual screen desktop setup. Not only I have two screen to use, I still have access to a physical keyboard, which, according to your tests, responds faster than the virtual keyboard.

I'm very impressed and I hope they will go on with the development of dual screens - for my daily routine I would definitely buy such a dual screen in a few years instead of an foldable phone 🙃

I am in desperate need of this. I have watched about 6 vids on this now and you all generally say the same. However, I work from home and my job requires me to use multiple applications all day (copying pasting from one to another) When I go to the actual office, I have 2 monitors which I love because my productivity increases immensely. When I go home with my one screen laptop, it takes me forever to do my work, I can't stand it. Also having the same dual monitor setup home is harder since I lack the space that I have at work. I am sooooo sad that I can't buy this! I will keep looking for it. I wish I could sign up to be on a waiting list. Thanks for your review!

Big props for Lenovo for making such an innovative product and also for including all the accessories in the box. Hopefully they continue this lineup, in the coming models we'll see a P series or Ryzen processor and add a headphone jack while making the device bit cheaper and more repairable.

    Wishlist for future iterations:
    1 - Screen Brightness Increase
    ( original = 370 nits )
2 - Improved drivers and stability when transformation between modes
    ( bug fixes )
    3 - Semi-Dual-Mode 3rd party support
( when placing included keyboard on bottom half of bottom screen )
    4 - Larger screen size (16")
    ( original 13.3" 2800×1800 )

I've wanted this laptop for months. I am going to use it mainly for reading ebook / listening to audiobook and taking notes by writing. This will allow me to physically write, which is better for retention, and be able to store the notes virtually, via a write to text allowing me to connect my notes and search through them later on. I will do the same for watching videos (courses) and taking notes. I can't wait for this to come out! Was supposed to be April now they are saying June.

Honestly this is the future. I really believe it... it's an excellent idea and format. But, they really need a top tier haptics tech like what Apple use in their trackpad, or better, to make the typing experience somewhat decent. I think in the future when screens are even more flexible we might have some kind of morphing tech to give actual physical keys that kind of could pop up out of the screen when the virtual keyboard is displayed. If there were some physical depth to the virtual keyboard, even just little bumps, combined with top tier haptics... it would be absolutely amazing.

    • @christophermullins7163

The real question is whether the use of AR glasses will make the concept of addtional physical displays redundant. Then there is the X1 Fold Gen 2 as well.
