Hi, I have 2012 corolla. Previous owner used green color coolant but recommended is pink color for my vehicle. So I wanna do complete flush including engine and radiator, I mean with opening thermostat valve to drain engine coolant as well. Do you have any suggestion or video on this? And, I I mix up with green and pink coolant is it a good idea or bad? Thanks for your help.
My toyota corolla is from is from 2004 it is a ce model and also to toyota also says the car needs 2 gallons of of antifreeze when your car uses 1 gallon. Dont buy two jugs unless u have too
Hi. You didn't check the fill level on the overflow container? That's how you check the level. You did not even flush the system at all. You fill with water, run engine with heater on for 15 minutes, drain, then fill with coolant. You left old coolant and contaminants in there. I'm gonna be up all night now worried about this! The old shit was still in the block!
Tom is correct regarding flushing the system! Drain and Fill does nothing to clean the coolant system inside. The following is just a good guideline: Step 1. Drain the existing coolant - you want to connect a 5/16 hose to the adapter next to the drain plug located under the car. Tighten plug when done. Step 2. You can use a coolant cleaner (Prestone clean and flush) with Distilled water. Regular water is not recommended since it cause corrosion to engine parts. Step 3. Run engine with heater max on for 15 minutes. Step 4. Drain again when engine cool down a bit. At this point, you can do step 2 again with Clean Distilled water only. Run engine with heater again for 10 minutes. Step 5. Re-drain again, only clear water should be coming out. Place the plug back on. Step 6. Fill the coolant system with the recommend capacity and proper coolant. If you do these steps, you would never have to worry about it for another 5-6 years or 100,000 miles...
U dont have to drive the car for for 15 minutes u can drian the old coolant and thats it guys make thing over complain about stupid shit not your car it his car let him do whatever he wants to his car
I’ll advise against following this video, this is not a proper flush by any means and would only prolong the life of the coolant if you did this maybe every year after a proper flush? But why bother. Just do it right at the proper intervals.

Always good to have more and not need it than less and needing it.
