I’m using the daily petite is to write down everything I eat in a day. Breaking it down from breakfast. Lunch and dinner. And on the “To do” area I am keeping track of daily habits like reading, water intake, workout. Etc. And in the hexagon part I’m writing down my weight. I try to weigh in every morning to keep me on check. I also purchased the monthly petite and plan to just write down appt, bills due. Pay day etc so I can take it to work vs my life planner which is a lot heavier. Lol can’t wait to put it all together
Julie, you can use Washi tape in place of tabs. Take a 10 mm Washi, cut into half-inch or one inch strips. Fold the page open and lay the strip with half of it falling off the page. It will look like a normal tab. But then fold the remaining Washi over to the back of the page. Then you have thumb tabs that cannot be damaged, but are easy to access for each month/section. I hope this makes sense.
I just got mine yesterday and I am loving it! In the hexagon space I am putting a sticker that corresponds with the day's events or mood. I have a ton of older happy planner stickers I want to use up so I figured this would be a great way to do that.
I never thought I’d be interested in using anything other than a Lifeplanner, but this system is starting to intrigue me more and more. I might have to try it. 🤔
I saw the comment about using washi tape on the monthly pages. My idea is similar to that - still use the tabs, but just have them flush with the edge of the page. You'd still be able to see them from the side, but they wouldn't catch on anything (or need scotch tape reinforcements 2 months in). 😊
That's what I was going to suggest, too- flush to the edge of the page. If I want to use tabs in my more important books, I keep them flush so the pages do not rip.
I use the monthly book as a simple budget book. I track the bills and amounts on the monthly spread. It helps me remember when automatic bills will be deducted. I use the notes pages to track sinking funds, debt snowball, plans for tax returns, etc
I am using the exact same petite planners! I am looking forward to how you use the hexagon. For now, I am using it if there is an important event or appointment on that day.
I use the monthly petite for far future forward-planning, and all the stuff you have in your dot grid is the stuff I put in the back of the monthly petite in the notes pages.
As you’re describing which folio covers are your favorite, I’m thinking, “you just listed almost all of them...so you pretty much love them all!” 😂 I mean, you really can’t go wrong with any of them.
Your video finally made me take the leap and buy the first quarter. I like the flexibility of using it as hourly or vertical. I think I've resisted bc I have *binders* of ECLP stickers but you know what. That money is already spent. I'm going to just try this and see how it goes. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks for this walkthrough! You totally sold me (hahaha) and I am going to use a dual system this year... I am just starting with the Petite Wellness Planner, but am going to expand to a folio system to use in conjunction with my main planner (not an EC). I'd love a mini update at some point on how the folio system is going for you and any changes/tweaks you make as you settle into 2020!
Helllooooo! Just found your channel and just became aware of all these wonderful planning items....I know, clearly i have been living under a rock.. lol....I am loving the petite planner. I feel like I would get loads of use out of it....I did see the other video about them and I couldnt agree more about the blank hexagon and the weird placement of the calendar.....Question....when does she release the new petite planners for the year? I see the life planner is tm.....does the petite have its own release?
Ooooh love all these covers. I got the champagne one, but definitely want to pick up lagoon and starry sky as well. Edit: and possibly the pink one as well lol.
I know some planners who instead of adding tabs will add a strip of washi tape to the side or top folded over the page. It doesn’t stick out and you can find the months easier that way.
Love your ideas! I just bought an On-The-Go-Folio and have been setting it up. I ordered medium adhesive pockets though because I thought the large would be too big, but I see you used the large? If they haven’t shipped my order maybe I can contact them and have them change the pockets to large.
I am obsessed with my daily petites! They are the best. The one planning system I used for all of last year. :) Do you know if EC is going to have a sale or a discount code soon? I ordered the EC softbound but I am contemplating getting the coiled version but would love to save some money. Thanks!
There’s a sale right now on all dated planners for 20% off but not sure how long it’ll be on for. Usually around March or April there’s a bigger discount on dated planners.
I think over time, where you've got the compliment cards right now will probably fill up with business cards / appointment cards. Like the appointment card you get from the dentist.
What is the exact name of the plastic insert? I can't find it on Erin's website at all. I'd like to sign up to be notified when it comes back in stock. :)
I can't find it either. I guess I'm going to have to contact customer service. I hope Julie will post links to the petite planners (Focused) & the insert.
I found it on the site via a Google search. It's still sold out, but I was able to add it to my Wish List. Don't know what that means. Hopefully, I'll get notified when it's back in stock. In the meantime, I'm scouting Amazon and Alexipress for a similar item.
Any recommendations for a single daily PP cover? I just want to carry the one with me, but store the others in the portfolio. It gets a little bent up :) Thanks for the video!!!
An EC planner of any sort wouldn't be an EC planner without the signature colors, lines and shapes on the pages. Use the area to document a special event, a change in plans, sunrise /sunset, or something that needs to catch your eye that day.
I still dont like erin conden i like plan book just date like that i can put what i like that folio it so loose i keep see it not work i like orint presion
Totally agree that I would love the focus planner in the daily petite!
Hopefully it’s something they add soon!

Julie, I just want you to know that I ordered the on the go folio and daily petite planner bundle all thanks to you. You have inspired me!
Yay! You’re going to love it!
Just picked up my petite planner and on the go folio. Can't wait to start using it.
Yay!!!
You could use washi tape along the side of the monthly pages to delineate where the months are quickly.
Genius! I might do that!
I did this, I used a really thick glitter washy from 3M so it would have some good heft to it.
BusyMomGoingCrazy that is a great idea 💡 👍
great idea! I think I am going to do that!

I haven’t used Erin Condren in a long time, but this is tempting. Great video! Love your honesty.
Love your lettering in the bullet journal for books and movies.
Thank you!

It’s worth a try! Especially with the sale going on right now!
I carry the folio with me everywhere. It’s so good. Omg
Agreed! ❤️

I’m so excited to see what you do with the giant hexagon in the daily pp...It threw me for a loop when I opened mine this month, I had no idea!
I am using the exact same petite planners! I am looking forward to how you use the hexagon. For now, I am using it if there is an important event or appointment on that day.
I’m loving my petite daily also! Only been using it 6 days, but do far it’s awesome!

Pretty much! 🤣🤣🤣
I am looking omg my petite planner. Next year I think I am going to rethink some of the planners I use, but these are staying with me.
I love that new plastic insert!!!
Yes what is it called to know what to order

That’s a great way to try them out!
Love your video, Julie! Thank you for sharing! :)
Atomic Habits is an amazing book! I had the opportunity to see / hear James Clear speak this summer - freaking awesome!

I use my monthly for my home flylady cleaning schedule
Oh love that!
Love this!
Thank you!

@@mommypointe6319 Thanks!! I will go check it out. :)

Yes!!!
That plastic folio insert is still sold out, I need 3, hope it is back soon
Have you ever thought about upgrading your cover to a leather TN from Chic Sparrow or Foxy Fix? I think the EC petites would fit well in an A5.
I haven’t only because I love how durable the EC covers are! I don’t have to worry about scratches!
Fair enough! The scratches on mine don’t really bother me, but I know they do some people.
What about using the monthly for a budget/finance log? I use the monthly view for bill due dates, and then the blank pages to track my debt payoff.
That’s a great idea Chelli !
What about using that extra notebook for a food tracker or menu planning?
Great idea!

I can't find it either. I guess I'm going to have to contact customer service. I hope Julie will post links to the petite planners (Focused) & the insert.
I got a plastic zipper pouch/pocket insert from Amazon for $7. It’s for traveller notebook, but fits the folio just fine.
You can find the plastic insert under the petite planner/folio section on the EC site! I do believe it’s still sold out though :(
Call or chat with an EC rep during normal business hours, they will help you find the product that you need.
I found it on the site via a Google search. It's still sold out, but I was able to add it to my Wish List. Don't know what that means. Hopefully, I'll get notified when it's back in stock. In the meantime, I'm scouting Amazon and Alexipress for a similar item.

Thanks for the video!!!
I totally forgot to do the plastic insert thingy! Thanks for the reminder, you did yours so nice
Maybe check out foxy fix and see if they have an A5 option for one book?

Love that!
If you put the little tab of the insert where your stickers are, INSIDE and in front of the stickers, this should avoid any spillage.
Julie, are you able to tag me in the video where you have your stickers in a photo album? I want to get a photo album for my stickers.
Julie- dis you u ever get a new 2020 folio that was right size up?
I didn’t but I also didn’t let them know about it 🤣
What pen are you using plz
