I love watching reactions especially when a person has never heard PTX before and when they hear Mitch it’s always jaw dropping. Each member is beyond fantastic but Mitch is truly a voice that rarely ever comes along
As Maz mentioned earlier, Mitch lost what I call his "baby weight" (he was like 19 years old when they won the Sing Off LOL) and he got super skinny but now he's filled out a little bit again and he looks quite healthy. I really like the way he looks now with the sideburns and stuff. But they all look really good as this year is their 10th anniversary of being PTX!
Mich had an eating disorder. He admitted it when he was a guest on a podcast. He’s back to normal weight now. His Ex at the time was abusive because he got a bit chubbier he was 19 the first time away from home, so he lost weight in a unhealthy way. Now days Mitch got some muscle and diets healthy. 2014-2016 Mitch went through some extremes, he also has a awful anxiety disorder and went through Meds alot. Scott said in the Superfruit book that Mitch is a really soft Soul and that he wants to protect him 24/7. Mitch grew alot he seems really happy these days.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Mitch also have cancer briefly, but they discovered it really early on and it was completely removed?

Mitch gained some weight after the song-off, then lost it and some extra. Recent videos he looks like he has regained a bit. I think her currently looks healthy and gorgeous. I seriously crush on him, too - and I’m a middle aged, married female. 😂 It’s all good.

I have a girl-crush/proud mum thing with Kirsty and I just want to mother Matt ☺ With Kevin, he is such a wonderful man and I have HUGE admiration for him, his talents (as I do them all) and he is actually far more grown-up than I ever could be (I am at least 12 yrs older than him, so that is quite embarrassing 😆) and he still has a fun, warm, happy energy that is beautiful. I just love them all and I'm not afraid to admit it 😌 🤷♀️
Mitch was in a relationship with Travis Bush at the time they were getting famous. Travis used to "bully" Mitch about his weight (among other things). So Mitch lost a lot of weight. In fact for a short time, people thought he was sick. Mitch ditched Travis and has since embraced a more healthy lifestyle. Thanks for your reactions. They, and you are great.

@@helmi9003 They were together for about a year, around 2013. There have been rumors that Travis was physically abusing Mitch. I have never heard Mitch say that was true. But I did hear Mitch on an interview show say that a previous boyfriend gave him grief for his weight. And that he went a little overboard on the weight-loss routine.

You like to note on their style... did you notice Mitch's honeybee earrings? I loved those as a subtle nod to the lyrics.

Mitch was skinny as a teenager, you can see that in all the pics and throughout the Sing Off, after they won the competition and moved to LA he started to eat very badly, gained weight and got a bit chubby for a while. He went gluten free, changed his diet, had an eating disorder as well, and got really skinny, nowadays he has a healthy weight and seems to be happy in his skin :)

Another thing about Mitch's now and then looks is that back when he weighed a little more, he was also paler. It's like he lost weight and started tanning?? So thinner Mitch looks almost Latino to me, while thicker Mitch looks like a straight-up white boy. *lol* He's such a chameleon. Although I know they're the same person, just that few pounds of difference and a slightly different tone makes him look like a completely different person to me. It's bizarre. He's a gorgeous queen in every form though. I love his sassy, delighted smile.

One of Mitch’s many phases was the chubby phase, lol. The word is when he first got out on his own, he may have had a junk food problem that he managed to overcome. Which, more power to him, I wish I could do it. And I love him no matter what he looks like!

I just found your channel, so glad you are feeling better. I just discovered the group Disturbed, yes! I saw a reaction to their cover of Sounds of Silence. Loved Simon & Garfunkel when I was young in the 60's. But Disturbed cover hit me hard, I watched them them on Conan too! I have been listening to their music since. Please will you do it? Mitch got thinner bc he struggled with an eating disorder/weight control issues. He speaks of it openly it now, to show how how you can you can recover. But like in the video for “Rise”, you can truly see how skinny how his arms were. He is healthy now.

Yeah, this was one of the early videos before Mitch lost weight. You can actually see how much different they all look here. This was about a year-and-a-half or so after the Sing Off, right as they had gotten (or were about to get) the big RCA contract. Glad you're feeling better...I knew you would!

This is one of my favorites from the early days! Mitchy looks different in every single video, you can count on it. But yes, he lost a great deal of weight in their third and fourth years, and has kept it off until recently. The Covid quarantine curse may have caught up with him of late, but it's probably temporary. The voice stays the same, or improves each and every time! They've gone through many changes in the past nine years, but their voices have matured as they've gained experiences. Amazing!

It has been delightful watching them grow and change over the years, physically and musically. We are all made up of our pasts and our presents, and it is important to appreciate what our past has done for us, even if it was negative. And you have to listen to me about this, because I can almost guarantee I'm older than any of you. ;-)
Not sure if you figured it out but they are dressed that way to go with the theme of the lyrics. Over the top with gold jewels etc.. and then by the end of the song they’re back in their normal everyday clothes. Don’t think Scott would normally wear those gold chains.

I don’t know if you have heard the phrase “the freshman fifteen?” It’s the 15 pounds or so that many college students gain after living away from home for the first time. I think that’s what happened with Mitch after The Sing-Off-he moved to LA with the group and was eating his choices for the first time.

Yes, he gained weight during the Sing-Off and afterwards. He had never lived alone before and ate everything he loved. He was only 19. He soon realized he had to change his eating habits and started losing weight. My personal opinion is that he lost too much at one point and looked like a stick figure (when they did Hallelujah) but he's looking looking good now.

I'm a major Pentaholic and I love this version of the song. However, I think my favorite cover comes from a group out of Canada called "Walk Off The Earth". It is one of the most creative I've seen especially for a one-take (which they are known for). They even have a "making of" video. For the channel or for personal consumption, I recommend you check them out.
