Not sure if this quite qualifies as Film Noir, it isn't dark enough.

And Mr Darcy, who was at the start and very end of the film and dated back to vaudeville comedy duo as Kolb and Dill and silent films almost from their start, was Claernce Kolb who played Mr Honeywell in another early tv series My Little Margie

Enjoyable story and acting (by all players). Bad girl gets her due and good girl gets the hero. Me? I got the sound up. A movie like this, describes once again, that a well written script like this, and great acting, appears to be gone forever. Now...can you take a teenage kid to a film like this, and both enjoy it...? Or a film of today, with the open sex- nudity, and graphic horror, that makes one sick to look at it? Yes, teenagers need a role model. There is none. Thus promotes violence among our teens and pre-teens of today. Plus video games.

@@leonardjoesten1222 jumped out?...Williams was slugged with the lug wrench by Torrance and pushed unconscience down the ravine by James Torrance.

40:34 The way his face emotes his realization that he'd been conned reminds me of Brian Cranston as Walter White and how that character's thought process when he was scheming would show in his expressions, the shifty/drifty eye thing especially.
Love seeing performance influences show up in film history!

I like his ordinary accent, no mid-atlantic nonsense for him. Very manly and every man.

I wish this had been uploaded with more volume, I have every volume control turned as loud as possible, and still not loud enough to watch. 😞

The writers must think the viewers are stupid. The prosecutor calls the defendant to the stand to testify against himself during the prosecution case presentation? So many little things like that, including "The Boss" standing there hammering on a random engine part? Anyway, it was pretty good.
