Indeed they are. Woollen hose and leather shoes. I think what happened is the strips at the bottom of the breeches for tying them below the knee were mistaken for cuffs on boots. I've just bought a box of these, looking forward to painting them.

I have to agree you made this look easy and the results were great. Got me wanting to play some epic scale stuff now lol.

As an alternative to metallic for the helmets you could use the graveyard grey. Armour was often painted and this should look spot on.

Models at this scale are perfect for speedpaints. With the whole army all lined up on their bases, these are going to look absolutely stunning on the tabletop. Hopefully we get to see some really good shots when they are all done posted up on Instagram 😉

Great looking minis! Vince Venturella recently showed off the speed paint metallics and I've picked up a set, will try on some modern minis soon. Cheers! 🍻

Nice little painting guide. I used zenithal highlight for the catholic faction, too. But the breastplates then all had to be darkened again, which was time-consuming. Isn't that necessary with "Polished Silver"?

@@totalburnout5424 polished silver is brighter but it’s pretty nice at this scale. I didn’t do anything else with it. Thank you for watching!

If you got the Push of Pike then yes, you do have a lot to paint. They'll look brilliant when they're done, though.

awesome recipe! did you clean any moldlines though? i got the box recently and i can’t decide whether or not to do it. the neurotic in me says yes, but i don’t really think the lines will be visible once painted…

I tried to give the sides a little scape (end minis). That was really it 😂

you have the same problem i have, i couldnt get all 10 of the individual guys on the front row, they just dont fit regardless what you do unless you clip elbows away. i went with 9 also.
