Vincent Price was the sweetest guy in real life After I met him I just kinda smirk when I see him in movies It was all an act...he had a small role in this one but he stole the scene
I know, I met him too back in the 70's through an antique/art dealer friend of mine. They were in a club in DC when I met him and Price bought a round of drinks for everyone but did not tip the waitress. She made her displeasure known... LOL
Columbo is probably the only TV serial in the world where all the top notch actors and superstar actors of Hollywood used to work in it even to do smaller parts. Big actors who normally don't do TV used to jump in too. It was such a treat to work with Columbo..
While Columbo was “just TV” it had high production values with top people working on it. Plus it took place in and around LA so Hollywood actors didn’t have to go far to do their part :)
Some of the call back quotes, the rest of the show, are amazing. "I couldn't kill a fly." "Just think how many years Dr. Frankenstein must have spent on his research." "You belong in a museum!" The Fly (1958) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) House of Wax (1953) "Surely you don't make anything that clever?" Actually, Shirley is on his left, and she's very serious ... Okay I'm going. "Surely you can't be serious?" "I am serious... and don't call me Shirley." Airplane! (1980)
he may have been in another film at the time, I remember watching an old interview with him and he said that he seldom ever turned down a role, because, you never knew how long he would work in the film industry.
Price would have made a great Columbo episode suspect. Here are 10 other actors and actresses from back in the day I wish had Columbo episodes: Robert Lansing David McCallum Gary Lockwood Peter Graves Lee Meriwether Lee Remick James Garner Bruce Dern Elizabeth Montgomery David Janssen
I love this episode because of the cast! It's the only woman murderer episode I can stomach. The opening scene at the fashion show is one of my favorite Columbo scenes, Vera Miles is so sweet in that white outfit with the turban.
To me, "Columbo" is as much about the inspector, and by extension us, learning about the intricacies of whatever field he had to enter for his investigation.
Peter Falk and Vincent Price together? What a GIFT this episode of Columbo is! Excellent!
I know right?! I thought I'd seen them all.
One of a kind voice . He had such great stature and poise
Vincent priceLESS, outstanding in all the parts he played.
Well said 👍

There was only ONE Peter Falk and ONE Vincent Price! They were masters of their trade! RIP to two of the best!
Vincent is such a talent in anything he does......

Love it!!! 😂
😁
So Snide and such a legend.
But why would you have Vincent Price on and not have him as the killer? Price and Falk going back and forth would have been epic.
Probably because it is too obvious since he played a lot of villain or anti-heroic characters in horror or thriller movies
Vincent Price, one of the best actors in the world of all times!!!
It does seem weird how Vincent Price was only cast in a minor role.
he may have been in another film at the time, I remember watching an old interview with him and he said that he seldom ever turned down a role, because, you never knew how long he would work in the film industry.
I know !!!
Imagine him being the murderer in some clever episode.
Oh Mr. Price, u were something, time truly flew by legend.
@@damianzarzycki Funny, I was just thinking that. He would have made a splendid Columbo villain, but only got this far.
Not casting Mr. Price as a murderer was a missed opportunity on the grandest scale. 😔
Vincent Price is such a good actor! All the people in this episode did well but hes a scene stealer
I'M SORRY? Vincent Price was on Columbo? This show just keeps getting better
Rest in powerful peace Vincent Price 🙏

Huh. That's this Tuesday.
Ho yes, that’s true, i forgot Vincent Price was in this episode, very charismatic man. Very liked him 🌹💕

I always think of him as the voice in Michael Jackson’s Thriller.😄
He was also the narrator in How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
It was Boris Karloff who narrated How the Grinch Stole Christmas, not Vincent Price.
Love this guy
Just awesome.

Simply amazing!!!
😍 Vincent Price
Vincent Price 6' 5"
Peter Falk 5' 6"
....both giants.
I read somewhere that Vincent Price was actually 6'4" tall, but I wouldn't argue with your opinion or be accused of gatekeeping.
I loved Mr Price' almost Queens english
His voice just screams horror, what a legend 🙌🏻
Price could always do some great repartee.
One of the rare instances where a major guest star was neither the murderer or the victim.
Great episode!!! 👍👍🎃
Vincent var gysets mester med den fine stemme og en flot personlighed, arstokrat stilfuld
doctor phibes was such a brilliant character, totally creeped me out ❤❤❤
Rest in powerful peace Peter Falk 🙏

Let's not forget about Vincent Price.
He passed away as well.
Price would have been one of the greatest villains of all time.
I'm thinking maybe he wasn't well enough.?
Price also did vocals for Michael Jackson and Iron Maiden, Thriller and Number of the Beast.
Price would have made a fantastic villain on the show.
Vincent Price was great in House of Wax.
Is that photo of Martin Sheen?
did he play a part on edward scissorhands?
I looked it up and he was he was the inventor
Loved Price in the very campy Pit and the Pendulum
Vincent Price❤
OK Vincent Price aside, but are we just skipping over the fact that the murder victim was obviously played by Martin Sheen?
Yes Vincent Price and Peter Falk and we're all going to ignore Martin Sheen ?
To me, "Columbo" is as much about the inspector, and by extension us, learning about the intricacies of whatever field he had to enter for his investigation.
Criminally underutilized in this episode. They should have brought him back in another for a bigger role.
Cat fight!
Why wasn’t he ever a villain ?
Wasted on this episode. He could have been one of the best killers of all time.
Price would be 61/62 here, seems like he always looked old.....I know people in their 80s that look much younger than he does here.
Too bad Vincent Price's appearance was wasted here. He was barely in it.
ヴェラマイルスさんが健在とは驚きだ。

So snide 😇😆😆

Worst video on the internet. Congratulations.
what an absurd comment... thanks
I think that's Charlie Sheen on the newspaper

Very funny. That’s more likely his dad, Martin Sheen. Charlie was a mere child when this aired.
@@BrentWilkins7777, yes, that's what I meant to say, I believe that's who it is
@@stephennutter6244you're right. He was the victim in this episode.
