600 hours of Assetto Corsa here and I hated PC1. But PC2 shocked me, i'm having so much fun and with the jack spade ffb files it's just amazing. Starting to like it more than AC.
But this is also the problem, the game doesn't deliver good ffb when bought from store. You have to get modder files to get it feel good, what about console console players...... this is a thing to discuss.
Yeah played alot of GT back in the day, feels like other games have reached GT and then passed them when it comes to handling. Have my Playstation ready for Gran Turismo Sport though, but im not expecting much to be honest.
Yeah, the series is way behind its rivals today. Like you, I was thinking about getting Gran Turismo Sport but I have come to the conclusion to stop pumping more money into the franchise. It is just not worth it any more. Project Cars is different story! It actually challenges the player, something the last two GT games did not. Thanks for responding and have a great day/night out there!
Good honest review Ricky. I know how much you like iracing. Got pcars 2 at launch but because I've been sucked into the world of vr which I've been using for iracing as well I haven't been able to really enjoy this yet because my graphics card is struggling to run it on the rift. Hoping to upgrade my card this week and start to enjoy this game. Get vr Ricky you'll b blown away.
Thanks David! Yeah i love em both, this game is sexy AF though kinda miss that in iRacing. What kind of graphics card you getting? Yeah someday, need a new graphics card aswell...
Am upgrading from a rx470 which was borderline ok for vr and ran iracing pretty well,up to a gtx1060. I've never been a pixel junkie but pcars 2 is laggy as hell with the 470 even with everything turned down or off.
This game motivates me everytime to get better. I didnt think I would go into sim racing but for this I bought a wheel and racing is becoming one of my favorite genres again. Thanks for the nice of review of someone who spent hundreds of hours on other sims.
It's the first time i have looked at your channel. You no what i like about you is, you take the time to answer most of your viewers remarks so well done for that. Also a very good honest review. I haven't got PC2 yet as waiting for all the fuss to die down and get a real impression on how PC 2 is going, so far its looking good for the sim's long term future
Thing is i dont have any IRL friends that are into simracing, just love talking about it so this is a way of doing it. You saw the review so you know how i feel, i think its worth buying for sure. Yeah it sure is, when a game like this is successful it brings alot more people into the simracing community which is great.
I absolutely love PCARS, the way it genuinely makes you feel like a racing driver is absolutely fantastic and something I've not experienced before (not as well done anyway). There's nothing more exciting than racing a GT3 lambo, porsche or ferrari around Le Mans it's a real thrill. I always play with real weather aswell so whatever is going on there in the real world is what I race in, again it's fantastic because every time I race there its a different experience. Other than adding more cars and tracks there's really not much I would change with the game.
hi ricky nice vid.seriously i am still in shock with how well they optimized pc2 especially in vr.as a rift user i am blown away.you need vr in your life for sure, bite the bullet and get 1
i see your situation then.been debating getting that wheel myself,t300 with f1 addon for me right now but will upgrade soon.also a iracing fanboy lol i run the porsche 911 gt3 cup car series love that car
The Caterham 7 in PC2 is some of the most fun racing I've had in a racing game so far. Still looking for a favourite car in the game, but so far it's my go-to for some quick fun. :)
All the races that i quit or dced, i lost around 25 points each time. But you dont lose points if you are in qualify or practice, you only lose points if the race has started.
Career is still really good on this game I just don’t think that it’s for this guy he is a online iracer. But honestly it is still really fun and there’s loads to do absolutely loads
This game is very CPU intensive. Don't be fooled thinking you only need to upgrade your GPU. I have a 1080ti FTW3 hybrid and a 4790k OC to 4.7GHz and I'm CPU bottlenecked in VR (GPU hovers around 45-60% max and my CPU it around 75%). i struggle to get a rock solid 90 fps unless everything is at absolute minimum settings besides textures. When I run the game outside of VR I can run the game max settings at 1440p with over 100+ fps. I'm waiting for the coffee lake CPUs to release next week and we will see how the game does then in VR
The VR in PC2 needs looking at though, clarity beyond 70m or so is shit compared to AC, and it taxes my 1080ti. In saying that, the game is overall awesome, and am sure patches will fix any issues, the VR performance is well documented on the forums
Great honest review. Thank you for taking the time to review it. I'm a big fan of PC2, but I still like honest reviews that cover some of the drawbacks.
Can't believe someone like you would wait so long when it comes to VR. There is no going back once you try it. The age of gaming on a 2d flat-screen is dead as soon as you put that HMD on. I haven't used my monitor in over a year now (except for some pubg, lol). It's worth every penny. It's not everyday you can ask literally anyone that owns a particular product and they go bananas on how mind-blowingly great it is. (I recommend the Vive, which will also future proof your tracking compatibility for the new Pimax 8k HMD that will be coming out next year)
+EVOLICIOUS yeah i know and considered it but afraid I'll get motion sickness. And if I want to continue doing RUclips videos I need to stay on triples
Good review. Finally picked it up and I'm enjoying it. Still struggling with understeer but working on making it feel just right for me. Much improved over PC1.
@@RickyBroshRacing Worked perfectly! I'll definitely be tuning more now and not just changing the authenticity and configuration so much. Thanks, I'm enjoying it even more now. ✌
It is still a top notch sim in late 2019 with nothing really to touch it overall. The cars are georgous, the tracks are plentiful and accurate and the lighting is superb. The only gripe is: The track map is way too big and not customisable. There are plenty of plusses: For example, no other sim makes it so easy to instantly download and apply hundreds/thousands of setups, and you can do this with the sim running. The menu and UI system is extremely well done, elegant and very intuitive. There are also many video guides if you need them. The career mode is good. The quick race setup is excellent. The FF settings are very detailed. The windscreens are a little to opaque and interfere slightly with a clear view, but that's a minor complaint. The biggest flaw is the replay. Too few controls, only one set of trackside camera suite and the horrible blurring and shimmering doesn't match the otherwise superb graphics in the rest of the sim. Overall, it is a fabulous title.
This sim is far better than I could have hoped for. Most of the cars feel better, especially with the Jack spade ffb files. It runs and looks great in vr and the new online license is a great idea. Just hope they can iron out some of the early problems cos they seemed to abandon Project cars 1 fairly early on!
I'm having a blast playing PC2, even though I only have a controller it's still playable, assuming you take some time to adjust default values which are awful. Quick tip there for controllers btw, you may want to try binding throttle to the right analog stick, it allows for pretty decent throttle input, which gives more possibility to tone down driver aids like traction, cornering, stability control and the likes, it's pretty neat. Sure, I won't break actual lap records any time soon obviously, but it's enough to beat the AI, drive clean and fast, and get a good feel for some of the amazing cars that are featured. Add to that an awesome collection of tracks (cough cough GT sport lol) coupled with the best fully adjustable, dynamic weather system to date, and PC2 makes for a frankly impressive experience. Oh and by the way, the game runs just fine (1080p-60fps single monitor) with a fairly old PC spec so bonus points there too : Windows 7 64 6GB RAM HDD drive MSI R9 280X 3gb i7 920 When all is said and done, I'll pick up a wheel and pedals real soon, can't wait. Too many great PC sims out there these days to pass on that opportunity^^
For guys saying it is a bad game while mentioning controller or not mentioning (but mentioned Xbox or PS4) . . . Project Cars 2 with a controller is hard ... as any other sim racing game, but what make PC2 great is to play it with a Wheel (I use PS4 G29 on PC) without assists, so you really feel the game and how amazing it is. Telling the truth, I have: Assetto Corsa Project Cars 1 Project Cars 2 F1 2015 F1 2016 F1 2017 F1 2018 Dirt Rally WRC 6 WRC 7 NFS Shift (the list goes on with more racing games, arcades and sims) So, I will compare some to my point of view and experience with the games. Assetto Corsa feels like you are on ice or wet/rain while on dry at the same time, the responses even on low or average speed are not exactly what I expected from the "normal average cars" (as close to that AC have) at these speeds. Considering other games I played and considering these cars at low and average (from 60 Km/h to 100 Km/h) speeds, AC feels more like a forced simulation than a real simulation, like AC is trying to make it feel real by making it feel harder to handle the car (I`m harder so I`m more real), also the force feedback at AC is good but I would give it a 7/10 or a 8/10 at best. PC 1 is also something "on ice" with most cars and tracks, but its simulation work more accordingly with your speed (and have less to do with the track area like at AC), what make the cars precidtable so you can work arround the tracks. The game physics is good but, even the AC "forced physics" give you more physics immersion PC2 . . . yes, PC2 made me forget I had AC at my Steam Library and I havent touched PC 1 and AC again since I started playing PC2. The game is amazing, feels amazing, have a great physics without being "forced" (and I could tell by the average cars on average speed and how they start to work at 100 Km/h and these were almost 100% accurated (only had a Gol 1.6 99HP without hydraulic steering and a Chevrolet Spark). I also raced karts some 6 times and yes, PC 2 Karts are also accurated and more real and not with forced simulation like I felt at AC . . . also, the ffb, oh the ffb feels amazing. I have the F1s mostly because PC2 dont have all the tracks and cars change from year to year (and yes, the F1s feel good and I like the challenge) . . . and Dirt Rally . . . make WRC 7 pale in comparison, WRC 6 look like Colin McRae Rally from PS1 and WRC 7 is not much of an improvement from WRC 6 (still good improvements but after playing Dirty Rally, is like after you play The Witcher 3 . . . then you go and play The Witcher 1 and ask yourself: Why so cluncky?, Why so arcade?, Why not so lively and responsive? Why so little physics details? That would describe a comparison of Dirt Rally vs WRC 7). And if someone ask why I mentioned NFS Shif . . . a NFS approach on sim racing but fall short on many things (still fun to play). So, yes, if you like to play with keyboard or controller, try the F1s with assistances on, WRCs, NFS Shift or games like that . . . PC 2 with assistances is also very "playable" with controller when using all assistances (dont know about keyboard, and I play at PS4 controller using the arrows > as wheel, "X" as throttle, "square" as break, "triangle" to change camera, "circle" for handbreak . . . I hate to race using the sticks since the first analog sticks on PS1 and PS2 and it is no different at PS4, precision and response wise, the analog stick fall short and I can do better times using an arcade fighting controller than using the analog sticks . . . race with what make you feel more confortable, but steering wheel is always amazing if you can purchase one and you can improve a lot to the point of doing the same lap times or better and ... without assists).
Nice review! I don't agree with the track part though. "About any track you can think of". Well ... many of the current F1 tracks aren't in this game. The ones that are included are: Spa Francorchamps Silverstone Barcelona Monaco Red Bull Monza USA Missing: Australia China Bahrein Russia Canada Azerbaijan Hungary Singapore Malaysia Japan Mexico Brazil Abu Dhabi So that's at least 13 tracks missing. As an F1 fan I think it's a real shame.
Hey Ricky, really enjoyed your review. You mentionned you played pCars 1 with a gamepad but you've now switched to a wheel but... have you tried pCars 2 with a gamepad? Is it good? I play with a wheel too (AC and iRacing mainly) but sometimes I want to play with friends or just lay back and play more casually with a pad so I'm really interested on how pCars 2 feels with a pad. Also, what wheel/pedals do you have? Thanks!
Happy to hear! I havent played PC2 with a pad no. I also want a casual game for just some fun with friends to play but im having a hard time enjoying these games without a wheel. For this video i used my old wheel which is a Thrustmaster T-150 since it is compatible with PS4. On PC i have a Thrustmaster TS-PC.
It feels really good with a pad! It's all I use because I'm too poor for a wheel setup. There's good settings you can find online for the best controller experience, and they actually work. Feels way better than PC1. I play with authentic settings.
The AI difficulty matching is the same problem as in Project Cars 1. At 75% difficulty, I usually qualify 5th at Silverstone but I can easily get 1st with 1 or 2 seconds gap at Hockenheim.
Hello RickyBrosh. Stumbled upon your channel by chance when scrolling through several PC2 reviews. This one is the best, no question about it. Very well composed with the sections. Thanks a lot man! Waiting to get a T300RS Alacantra delivered with playseat challenge. Loved the content of PC1 but hated the FFB, Assetto Corsa was a way better driving experience imho but lacked project cars presentation. Will buy this game. Any tips on how to get into the community? I have no problem with driving at last place but id like to avoid the trolls and also would be fun to have some racing friends. (my friends don't sim)
+Johan Winroth thanks Johan happy to hear that! That rim is sweeeeet! Thinking of buying it for my TS-PC. Join AOR (apex online racing) they have leagues and stuff. Leagues haven't started yet though
Oh yeah this review just covered all the points I needed to be covered in a review. The other reviews I watched didn't really get it done too much. I should be getting the game in a day or two.
A really great review, thank you. I'm also an iRacing fanboy, who is now exploring PC2. I agree with most of Ricky's review. My only gripe, is multiplayer. There are a lot of rammers and idiots who will spoil your experience. Yes, the review rating system will sort it out eventually, however you'll go through pain until your own rating rises above the childish gamers. It would have been nice to force users to qualify with a basic licence BEFORE being allowed to enter multiplayer.
Yup I’m with you. I hate the idiots. They spend 30-45 mins qualifying and then they ruin the race by ramming and pushing u off the course. I just keep working towards a good license... what’s fucked up is I kept loosing points because others kept hitting me and the game kept warning me for contact.:: so now I do small races and goals to just finish if I don’t qualify too 3.... no more than 5-7 racers is good. Don’t do the 10 or 29 man races if it’s an open lobby...
I know that the Multiplayer on Xbox One is having a lot of issues right now. It's just riddled with a lot of small bugs that are very frustrating; player disconnects, endless joining lobby screens, and setups not saving are probably the biggest that I've experienced. But I'm having the same issue with lobbies in other racing games on Xbox so it may be something tricky in programming for Xbox.
Agree on all points, it's really awesome, one thing is annoying, .. I want to have full control of my car including from the moment I see the cockpit, especially driving in the pitlane, PCars somehow takes control, this breaks immersion
RickyBrosh Racing you will NEVER be able to play on a monitor again haha. Spatial awareness and depth perception totally change the feel of racing games. youll find your times start to drop and youll be able to be more aggressive into turns.
I’m on a PS4 Pro and I personally prefer Asseto Corsa over any of the other comparable games with PC2 in 2nd with Dirt Rally 2.0 coming in with a strong 3rd place finish.
Just brought, ps4, using pad... Fat headphones tho.. Wish me luck friends 🤞💕🙏🏻 It's Downloading is it good eh? Ai is important to me, what's that like?! UPDATE ITS GOOD, BUT SETTING ALL NEED TWEEKING IMMEDIATELY Once days of rnd are over The ai is then, awesome, the behaviour is awesome and it works like it should... The default settings you get imo do not work properly
I just drove the formula renualt in heavy rain with no front wing and was still easy to drive, full power out of turns with no oversteer. This is acrade!
RickyBrosh Racing you get oversteer if you're not gentle on the power in wets conditions. Not the case in pcars2, to easy to floor it. Yes everything is off with full damage, wheels are spinning just doesn't spin out, very dull physics.
RickyBrosh Racing go try it yourself, load up red bull with heaviest rain, bump off your front wing and report back. IRL it wouldn't be able take any turn at decent speed, car just go straight. Again not the case, nowhere near realistic. Even normal conditions have these flaws, just to easy to drive, no challenge for me
Yeah okay i hear you havent driven the FR3.5, sounds off though. Try any other car with all assists and TC & STC off and you will spin no doubt. If not we're playing different games
You need a beast of a PC for it to work well in VR... I know for me project cars 1 I have to turn settings way down.... Just a note... Iracing is Awesome!!! In VR... Worth getting a setup jus for that..
Not really. I have a i5-6600k OC to 4.3ghz and a strix 970 OC to 1444mhz and run the game perfectly fine with my Vive. That's a mid-range system at best.
I run a AMD FX8350, 32gb, Palit gtx 970, an oculus rift and runs way better than i expected. im only setting up races to play. PC1 was terrible on my pc but PC2 looks and plays great
Nah project cars 2 might look better on PC ( not console) but the ffb on iracing is far superior, not to mention the track detail on iracing is more realistic. Iracing is the best most realistic sim you can buy , project cars 2 is more of a sim cade like gt sport.
I played the extended demo for GT Sport a few days ago and it got me back into racing. So, I didn't want to wait until Tuesday for GTS to come out so I just bought PC2 and oh boy is it way better! GTS is easier to control and less realistic, and PC2 is super authentic in the way the cars feel and drive. Plus the amazing weather effects, wow! Both are good games and I like GTS's online racing system, has a thing where cars go transparent when they're losing control in corners so you don't get slammed too much by bad drivers/jerks.
Awesome review. Alot ppl rating it well. But i still cant justify what is a small game. A sim game. Over the content and fun of forza. For £49 on the store. Its too much now. Forza this year is good really good. Good career good handling. Just good fun on a wheel. Once comes down in price ya. Made mistake of buying a broken pc1 that sites on my window sill for full price. Not again. Forza and even paying for premium is worth it. This needs to be £20 then ill buy it. Unless they do alot alot of free content
Thanks, this wasnt a full review though only have around 3 hours in playing time this was just my initial impressions but i have to say agree with you.
EVOLICIOUS whats that gotta do with it?. Not enough to it and still. Still has issues it shouldnt have. 2017. Faults in games is just not tolllorated now or forgiven in games. Dont release it till its right
RickyBrosh Racing Yep, honest feedback for an honest review. I've watched bunch of other PC2 reviews, they didn't give it a chance and mainly focused on the flaws but I found the tires physics amazing! Just setting up FR35 can take days off testing, something I haven't done in any other SimRacing. FM series is great for younger console players with controllers to get into Motorsport and SimRacing later on. That's it. Tires physics are light years behind.
PC1 had horrible handling and is one of the worst racing games in my opinion, however I never played PC2 and a lot of people are saying its one of the best racing sims rn.Has it improved in physics or is it the same as PC1
I am impressed by the comments and how favorable they are. On XBox one, it is one of the worst feeling games out there. Even CM F12015 feels great compared to this waste of $60 USD. The content is great, but the moment you get on track, it is terrible. How can any pro race car driver sign off on this pile?
This really surprises me, but then again ive never tried it on consoles with a pad. Think that might be the main issue, i love it on PC with a good wheel.
It’s a huge issue. There should be an entirely different review for console players and a 3rd review for pad users. I’m like the worst case scenario. I play on console, with a pad, offline only. If you have Xbox Forza is absolutely your only option. I tried PC2 demo. After all the raving reviews I could not believe what I was playing. The graphics...completely underwhelming. The handling...what a joke. It felt like I was driving on 4 bowling balls. The racing lines..very inaccurate. Always made me brake too early and make turns too fast. Felt like the only force feedback was when braking and never when accelerating. I def played an entirely different game than what was reviewed. I couldn’t believe anyone would have 1 bad thing to say about Forza after playing this. Forza is king of console, king of pad, king of offline.
What are you talking about? PC2 feels way more immersive than FM7 and AC on Xbox. It genuinely feels awesome and I'm currently having a great time playing it.
What us the point of a game that has 24 hour Le Mans and you can't save it at any point??? Also the recent updates have made this game near on impossible to play, AI cars are terrible. This game sucks.
You lost me with your praising of the sounds. I think AC has far superior sounds, as does R3E. They're not awful, but they are noticeably not as good as either AC or R3E and perhaps even iRacing. That said, I don't think the sounds are bad, and they're not so bad that they're a distraction like they are in the Gran Turismo series.
Cant say i agree, the sound in Raceroom is very good. iRacings sound is nothing to PC2 imo. Asetto Corsa is hard because some cars sound good and some not. iRacings sound isnt bad its just that the quality is low or something, hard to explain.
Since when does AC have good car-sounds? Some are okay, but i don't know awesome one (and count >1950 hours in steam). This Oreca FLM09 sounds really great, but it's a mod. Problem in AC is, the sounds are not perfectly mixed and always sounds to thin and artificial. Raceroom and AMS were the best for me with AMS certainly better with formula cars. pCars 2 is maybe on par because of all this background noises like transmission whining and certainly in the top 3 IMO.
Pc2 is kinda in a short lived victory. This game is slightly better than all racing simulators in terms of graphics and gameplay at the moment. Honestly I will skip this entry and wait for something that will surpass PC2. You got old simulators that are still holding up today and all they have to do is get off there lazy a s s e s and develop something extraordinary groundbreaking.
That makes no sense. What makes you think this sim won't hold up in the future. Things will always improve down the line, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy the present. That's like saying, I shouldn't have bought rF1 because of rF2. Or the same with rF2 because of rF3.
its called denial, and self confirming why you didn't want to and still won't buy a product. As a racing fan i buy most titles regardless.. and also as a member of the cult of iracing..I can say pcars2 is great. and will be greater.
iRacing doesn't have to deal with Ai, offline, career, much weather, multi-platform distribution and marketing and has no subscription or constant money stream from consumers. You lost me at gamepad though. How would you know realism? You got a wheel...hooray. Your cockpit view is way too zoomed in as well. You are supposed to be emulating real driving. A real view is different and real racing would rip yoir arms off and fling you out of the car. On another note, Sound is awful in PC2. That's the one thing that the game does the worst.
Always all this talk about so many cars. Who cares when they all feel the same and the physics are terrible? But that is today's generation, bling bling and quantity over quality.
Is this a payed review? You cant be serious about the ffb/physics! I refunded after almost 2hrs trying to get this pos game to feel anything like the other leading sims
Well english is my second language but the way i see it is this. Handling = The way the car feels when driving it. Physics = The way the car moves around on the track, the way it responds when you hit a curve for example. Even car contact and stuff like that.
Wait wait, just because project cars 1 sold a lot doesn't mean it was good ok? Stop measuring success based on sales but on what actually people say about it. Nobody liked PCars1, at least those who know about racing simulators... And seriously, since you're call yourself an "iRacing fanboy"....you shouldn't really like PCars2 much....but i guess everything that's shiny....you know....it's "good".
+The nextinline did you even watch the video? :) If not i said alot of people were dissapointed with it. Success was based on sales which i also said. And why am i not allowed to enjoy both?
600 hours of Assetto Corsa here and I hated PC1. But PC2 shocked me, i'm having so much fun and with the jack spade ffb files it's just amazing. Starting to like it more than AC.
Glad to hear! Im starting to like it more than iRacing :)
But this is also the problem, the game doesn't deliver good ffb when bought from store. You have to get modder files to get it feel good, what about console console players...... this is a thing to discuss.
^Get a PC. xD
I have good PC, I'm worried for console players.. :)
Assetto Corsa, iRacing, RaceRoom and Dirt Rally on hibernation since the 22nd of this month. PC2 + Oculus Rift=🔥Epic
Project Cars 2 killed my long time relationship with Gran Tursimo 1-4. :D
Yep
Gran turismo is fun for being a arcade project cars 2 however is the challenge
Ayy thanks for the review from an actual sim racer, getting it! (2 years late cuz I ain’t got much moneyyy)
Don't sweat it, I'm late to the party as well.. just got my copy 5 days ago and the first one a couple weeks ago!!
Pat Back 👍
What do you think about it now? Personally I still love it :)
Good review. Keep it up. Can't say any more now. Time is precious. Off to play Project Cars 2.
+John Elliott thanks alot John! I'm playing know lol
GPU is most important but CPU is also important to hit that 90Hz.
Am upgrading from a rx470 which was borderline ok for vr and ran iracing pretty well,up to a gtx1060. I've never been a pixel junkie but pcars 2 is laggy as hell with the 470 even with everything turned down or off.
Yea my cpu is testing ok according to steam vr performance but my gpu isn't up to scratch
Yeah ok, 1060 is probably the best bang for your buck at the moment so good choice. Looking to upgrade aswell in the near future.
This game motivates me everytime to get better. I didnt think I would go into sim racing but for this I bought a wheel and racing is becoming one of my favorite genres again. Thanks for the nice of review of someone who spent hundreds of hours on other sims.
Think they did a great job and i still love it. Would have hoped they had solved some of the Multiplayer issues that are still in the game though.
Other than adding more cars and tracks there's really not much I would change with the game.
l34052 do you think this game is worth buying still? Is the online active? Full lobbies?
Yes no doubt. Online lobbies still has People in them
So refreshing to hear reasonable review
Glad you liked it!
Subscribed to you yesterday. Really good content and good review, cheers.
+Dawei Tao thanks, means alot :)
hi ricky nice vid.seriously i am still in shock with how well they optimized pc2 especially in vr.as a rift user i am blown away.you need vr in your life for sure, bite the bullet and get 1
Hi Baz, thanks! Yeah i can imagine it being awesome in VR, not sure im ready for the 1200 dollar investment yet, just bought a TS-PC :)
i see your situation then.been debating getting that wheel myself,t300 with f1 addon for me right now but will upgrade soon.also a iracing fanboy lol i run the porsche 911 gt3 cup car series love that car
The Caterham 7 in PC2 is some of the most fun racing I've had in a racing game so far. Still looking for a favourite car in the game, but so far it's my go-to for some quick fun. :)
Yeah its pretty awesome, so many cars to choose from :)
My favourite one might be the Ferrari 288 GTO
O you totally lose points if you rage quit a race. A lot actually. Had a friend leave instantly and he lost 45 points
You do? Saw the livestream from SMS yesterday and they said you didnt, its 2 months old though. Sorry about that.
there is no way you dont, know 2-3 people that its happened to so far, even people complaining a little on reddit about it.
I lost 40 points leaving early.. but there are some inconsistencies. I don't exactly understand the system yet.
Yeah there are, i have left early aswell and did not loose points. Maybe its just buggy in the beginning.
All the races that i quit or dced, i lost around 25 points each time. But you dont lose points if you are in qualify or practice, you only lose points if the race has started.
Career is still really good on this game I just don’t think that it’s for this guy he is a online iracer. But honestly it is still really fun and there’s loads to do absolutely loads
srsly get vr, its so awesome in this game, much better looking than ac or iracing. If you already feel immersed right now you will love vr
Yeah i hear ya, problem is i need a new graphics card aswell :)
xeekTV couldn't agree more. VR with PC2 is simply amazing.
+Guybrush Threepwood didnt know that thought VR worked well, thanks
Great honest review. Thank you for taking the time to review it. I'm a big fan of PC2, but I still like honest reviews that cover some of the drawbacks.
Thanks, happy you like it!
And if I want to continue doing RUclips videos I need to stay on triples
i really love project cars 2 now , with this settings , sen 540 . ffb 90 sho 90 abs off dri off for 70 , spr 80 , dpr 70 , sen 80
You seem so happy whilst talking, so nice....
Haha racing makes you happy i guess :)
Good review. Finally picked it up and I'm enjoying it. Still struggling with understeer but working on making it feel just right for me. Much improved over PC1.
Happy to hear, yeah it is a huge improvement imo. Try softening the front and chaning the steering ratio
+Ivan Fojan same here definitely suprised me. The finacial situation should be better this time that should allow more support.
Oh and by the way, the game runs just fine (1080p-60fps single monitor) with a fairly old PC spec so bonus points there too :
Windows 7 64
6GB RAM
HDD drive
MSI R9 280X 3gb
i7 920
When all is said and done, I'll pick up a wheel and pedals real soon, can't wait. Too many great PC sims out there these days to pass on that opportunity^^
You will love the wheel, takes a few times but after that its amazing.
Sounds are not the best in the business,. that accolade belongs to Race room,
VR is Amazing Go get it
I hear you, Raceroom has amazing sounds i agree. Yeah i know, not sure im ready for the 1200 dollar investment yet :)
1200? guessing your pc isnt great? What graphics card you have?
It's not THAT simple when you want to record it as well...
#I very like the way you give your impression about Project cars 2,
Glad to hear!
Telling the truth, I have:
Assetto Corsa
Project Cars 1
Project Cars 2
F1 2015
F1 2016
F1 2017
F1 2018
Dirt Rally
WRC 6
WRC 7
NFS Shift
(the list goes on with more racing games, arcades and sims)
So, I will compare some to my point of view and experience with the games.
The game physics is good but, even the AC "forced physics" give you more physics immersion
PC2 . . . yes, PC2 made me forget I had AC at my Steam Library and I havent touched PC 1 and AC again since I started playing PC2.
Great post!
@@RickyBroshRacing Thnks.
Nice review! I don't agree with the track part though. "About any track you can think of". Well ... many of the current F1 tracks aren't in this game. The ones that are included are:
Spa Francorchamps
Silverstone
Barcelona
Monaco
Red Bull
Monza
USA
Missing:
Australia
China
Bahrein
Russia
Canada
Azerbaijan
Hungary
Singapore
Malaysia
Japan
Mexico
Brazil
Abu Dhabi
So that's at least 13 tracks missing. As an F1 fan I think it's a real shame.
Im a huuge F1 fan, cant say i miss them all but, Suzuka (which has a similar track in PC2), Interlagos, Hungary and Canada i miss for sure
I loved the review, I love pCars 2! :)
Glad to hear! Yeah me to
Great review, i love it
+Roel Houben glad to hear 😁
Very good Review thanks, med vänliga hälsningar Kenta...
Glad du gillade den! :)
Really good and appreciated review
Glad to hear, thanks Kaneki
Thanks!
+Akmal Ibrahim yeah its bad, cant understand how that can be so hard to fix.
Love your videos man.
Deserve more subs.
Happy to hear that thanks alot :)
Yeah no problem man.
Really was the review that gave me the go ahead to go pick this up.
How do you like it?
Oh yeah this review just covered all the points I needed to be covered in a review.
The other reviews I watched didn't really get it done too much.
I should be getting the game in a day or two.
+Cry_y happy to hear that! Enjoy GTS!
I enjoyed your review. Thanks for sharing.
Travis White my pleasure, happy you liked it
A really great review, thank you.
+Neil Scott thats a very good idea actually. Thats where iRacing did it right. The way to go here is league racing imo. Hold on it will get better 😉
RickyBrosh Racing has it gotten better? I’m new tothis game and it feels empty.
Ricky you must be either a Swede or a Norwegian. Our accents are sooo spottable. 😂😂😂
Swedish :) Cant hide it no matter how hard i try lol
I buy vr and play this game a week ago. Still play.
+Shea Samuels yeah I've heard it's really sad. Haven't experienced that on PC though.
hi, nice review. It feels you like this game :)
How did you set up your wheel in system?
My t300rs feels so light, and I don't feel almost any ffb.
I do! Search for Jack Spade FFB settings, those are custom settings. Then i have raw in the options menu.
Very nice review and very honest. Thanks.
+Diego Molas happy you liked it, cheers
Agree on all points, it's really awesome, one thing is annoying, .. I want to have full control of my car including from the moment I see the cockpit, especially driving in the pitlane, PCars somehow takes control, this breaks immersion
+Joel Michels you can change that in options!
VR/wheel/PC... glorious
The dream :) Never even tried VR and i really want to, in a racing game that is
RickyBrosh Racing you will NEVER be able to play on a monitor again haha.
Wish me luck friends 🤞💕🙏🏻
It's Downloading is it good eh? Ai is important to me, what's that like?!
UPDATE ITS GOOD,
BUT SETTING ALL NEED TWEEKING IMMEDIATELY
Once days of rnd are over
The ai is then, awesome, the behaviour is awesome and it works like it should...
The default settings you get imo do not work properly
lost soul AI is pretty good imo. Enjoy and good luck!!
At 4:24 sounds like you have the Automatic clutch ON needs to be OFF and you will see how quick shifts
Will you be racing in the Project Cars Nordic/Sweden league?
+Fyllpen where is that?
RickyBrosh Racing "Project Cars Sverige" on facebook. I think they are planning a PC2 league..
Er dere fra Sverige?
Yousuf Zahid Japp, är du norsk?
Fyllpen Jepp
I just drove the formula renualt in heavy rain with no front wing and was still easy to drive, full power out of turns with no oversteer. This is acrade!
That sounds strange. Are you sure Traction and stability control was off? Without a front wing you should suffer understeer not oversteer.
Go drive a Porsche around red bull ring with no assists and try that
I noticed the op left out talking about rFactor2, the best sim there is. He likes Arcade Cars 2.
+blotmaster1 never tried it to be honest
You need a beast of a PC for it to work well in VR... I know for me project cars 1 I have to turn settings way down....
Just a note... Iracing is Awesome!!! In VR... Worth getting a setup jus for that..
+David LeClair yeah I've heard that, but I'm sure it looks awesome though
PC1 was terrible on my pc but PC2 looks and plays great
+Craig i have a very simulatorer setup and it rund great för the Most part ;)
iRacing sucks. Agreed, it takes a good machine to run some decent graphic settings in PC2
lol the AI at 7:15, still can't go round hairpins
Well done thank you
Thanks :)
Great review I subbed
+Crucial_US happy you liked it!
Just started 1 month ago are there any places to meet other racers?
Check out apexonlineracing.co.uk , and their discord
Want to meet up at Long Beach next year?
Why not if i go there! Thing is that dont think i will unless Formula 1 goes there which wont happen.
Now it's time for you to try r factor 2
Russell Stone yeah i know :)
I think it's $31.00 now
Nah project cars 2 might look better on PC ( not console) but the ffb on iracing is far superior, not to mention the track detail on iracing is more realistic. Iracing is the best most realistic sim you can buy , project cars 2 is more of a sim cade like gt sport.
iRacing is fantastic no doubt, different games
New sub. Love Project Cars2 . I pre ordered GT sport , I hope I won't be sorry
+Magic happy to hear! Love PC2 aswell hope you enjoy GT aswell!
I agree with you.
+Magic happy to hear that!
I have all the sim racers except iracing, pc2 is possibly the bar to beat.
It's one of the best imo
Is it better than Gran Turismo on ps4?
If you want realistic crashes, check out Beamng.drive; but you'll need a really fast PC to handle the dynamics.
Ive tried it its pretty awesome :)
You do realize you are comparing a arcade game to a simulation game, right? Comparing apples to oranges................
EVOLICIOUS whats that gotta do with it?. Not enough to it and still. Still has issues it shouldnt have. 2017. Faults in games is just not tolllorated now or forgiven in games. Dont release it till its right
Forza and PC2 are not in the same genre. If you're choosing to play Forza for racing you are not a sim enthusiast.
Where s the honds civic? I cant find it
Its under road somewere otherwise check under Honda.
It’s a deluxe edition bonus.
Great review. Except the Forza Motorsport advice.
+hamzterix haha :) Thanks ill still take that as a compliment 😉 Have you tried FM7, havent heard much about it. Is it any Good?
RickyBrosh Racing
Yep, honest feedback for an honest review.
+hamzterix agree with everything you said, well written!
the music is distracting
PC1 had horrible handling and is one of the worst racing games in my opinion, however I never played PC2 and a lot of people are saying its one of the best racing sims rn.Has it improved in physics or is it the same as PC1
Id say its very much like PC1, so if you didnt like PC1 you wont like PC2 even though it's improved in a lot of areas
Love the game but in replays the cars look really slow just no sense of speed
I love it but yeah the sense of speed is bad, its the same with alot of Racing games unfortnately
Forza drives like on ice, but 7 was better, but its not close to how realistic on Pcars.
Wayne
Xbox, seriously? Don't bash a racing SIM if you're playing it on the xbox, you have no credibility now.
What are you talking about?
PC2 feels way more immersive than FM7 and AC on Xbox.
It genuinely feels awesome and I'm currently having a great time playing it.
Playing on Xbox with a wheel...
£45 for this game!!! crazy money!
It’s £6 now lol
You sound like 'Robbaz'
Look up his channel he's hilarious!
Not the first time ive heard that, i seen him funny guy :)
with the voiceover thing, i always thought the dude in this game was a bit annoying but ok but i found that in acc it was really annoying lol
Best part about pc2 is you don't get the idiot rammers like forza 7
There's probably not even close but there are a few in PC2 as well
What us the point of a game that has 24 hour Le Mans and you can't save it at any point??? Also the recent updates have made this game near on impossible to play, AI cars are terrible. This game sucks.
Yeah i agree thats pretty bad, but you can pause :)
Sounds: R3E>Automobilista>PC2>AC (yes, there some good and bad examples, but i mean IN GENERAL!)
Raceroom and AMS were the best for me with AMS certainly better with formula cars. pCars 2 is maybe on par because of all this background noises like transmission whining and certainly in the top 3 IMO.
i was really underwhelmed by the sounds in AC. The sounds in PC1 and 2 are amazing imo.
Leemz100 i find the sounds better in pc2 than ac
Fanboy’s*
iRenting.com and Arcade Cars 2 both failures.
+blotmaster1 asetto corsa fanboy? :)
You guys should go back playing NFS. The physics in PC2 sucks!!!!!
+Mike Smith Nah PC2 is alot more fun.
You gotta adjust the setups input, and believe me with latest update is getting better.
+BlindStudios yeah i hear you, even though i feel this is a pretty big step forward.
BlindStudios you're missing out because live track 3.0 really is something special
Wrong! Graphics are not the be all end all. Gameplay is head and shoulders above any other sim on the market.
Iracing is a scam with ps2 graphics and ps1 physics, pc2 is superior in every way
Can't say i agree, love iRacing but its expensive no doubt
iRacing doesn't have to deal with Ai, offline, career, much weather, multi-platform distribution and marketing and has no subscription or constant money stream from consumers.
The physics really sucks
I dont agree :)
Did you play it?because for me is a sim
Always all this talk about so many cars. Who cares when they all feel the same and the physics are terrible? But that is today's generation, bling bling and quantity over quality.
+blotmaster1 why are you watching all these videos? :)
Very slow at talking.
Do you want me to talk faster?
Is this a payed review?
You cant be serious about the ffb/physics!
I refunded after almost 2hrs trying to get this pos game to feel anything like the other leading sims
I wish! Im dead serious, ffb/physics are what really shines in this game. Handling a can see an argument about but not physics imo.
With Jack Spade ffb files the ffb feels good!
we (consolers))do want this Jack Spade setup for consoleeeee :(
RickyBrosh Racing What is the difference between handling And physics?
