I'd like to give Rashad Mcants "his flowers". He really showed what he brings to Gil's Arena in this episode. His questions and sincerity brought a lot to this amazing conversation with Mr. Rich Paul. Man oh man, the end of Season 1 raised the bar for this Podcast! Mad respect and props to the entire crew.
I didn’t think it was sincerity. It was impressive that he was able to express his thoughts clearly but I felt he was being a yes man and in awe of Rich. There was many “mm hmm” and “exactly”. He was less inquisitive and just like happy to be here and able to say he has a relationship with the guy. But that fits the description they gave him on the P Bev episode. He’s not a follower but he does just wanna be down. Just my thoughts, not discrediting yours.
@@BiznessBoog100% agree

Interesting observation. Good point.
@@BobbyTomio in watching it to its completion. I think he did take the lead because he may actually be the only 1 that knows him personally, not “cordially” as they threw around. Everyone else spoke to him in passing but sounds like Mccants actually got close or orrrrr back to that P Bev episode, he does view casual relationships in a more personal way
Agreed. He asked the most inquisitive questions and really asked the questions you wanted to know. Besides Kenyon, he kept the interview really engaged. No one else really asked questions the way that he did. Gil didn't ask, Jennings didn't aske, Johnson didn't ask, it really was just McCants and Martin engaging RP in questions. He did a great job here
You can see the respect Gil has for Rich, damn near 30 minutes into the pod and Gil has barely talked. Just sitting back smiling soaking up more info and knowledge. Great episode all together

Bullshit. That MF is rambling and saying nothing.
Not many people can get this dude to do a sit-down interview. Salute to Gil and his crew for making this happen.
Gil was actual close to LB and his crew. remember gil used to go LBJ house to play booray with them and stuff. it seems they were close back thn.
@@MrAyanle7They been very close going back to Bron rookie year. During the 2006 playoffs between those two they were spending time at each other house.
Foh. The king put him on!!!!😂
It's not like they got into technical and legal stuff. It was basically barbershop conversation. Lebron surrounded Rich with lawyers and advisers and they're probably on RP's speed dial to call for technical support. Had he sat down with guys like David Falk, an actual lawyer, the guy who pioneered the modern day NBA contract structuring, marketing and money management, to pick his brain, Rich probably would get a nose bleed and stop the interview everytime he gets asked a technical questions and call his advisers for additional info.
@@krgutz86you sound so delusional. Look at the platform he’s on. This isn’t about technical talk goofy. Your iq is extremely low and that take proves it lol.
Hands down one of the Smartest business minds. People will try to minimize him. The dude is sharp well spoken and well informed. Rashad was right to give him his flowers. Can't wait to read the book.

Rich Paul should have told LeBron he was setting the game back with his weak handle and lack of triple threat game. Get rid of the longevity and give us more than a single season of entertainment. Under Bron the leagues metrics lowered. Boring settling for supposedly the most athletic person in league history. A disappointing career at best
He’s biased 😂facts don’t exist with him
Lebron saw something in this guy and knew he wanted him around. Then he showed the world what Lebron saw in him. Dudes a straight up inspiration and legend. Came from nothing but had an opportunity and turned it into something people can only dream about and hasn't stopped. We'll all get opportunities in this life but it's about what we do with them. Remember this guy when they come along
I mean this true to an extent I mean how much of us get the opportunity to be friends with one of the greatest most popular players ever that also had a mindset to empower his friends.
I give him credit for taking that opportunity and making the most of it but that's a unique rare ass situation that once your behind Lebron most of the hard work is done respectfully.
honestly I could have started a company if bron was behind it
It's not always about who is backing you tho. Just like Kenyon said... He backed his homie, bought him a building for his business and everything and he did NOTHING with it.

This was an amazing interview. Rich Paul's insight on the life behind an NBA player, his experience, both sides of business and wisdom really shined here.
His comment about an NBA player's crew reminded me of the show Entourage. Who doesn't want to take care of their friends and family? but you don't realize when you're being a liability. You need to be part of the reason why things work so well in his life
Gil can be loud AF some days, and it can get annoying. But you almost never see Gil be awestruck, agape or just plain *speechless*.This episode was the one. Like RaShad was *really* dialled in -- you could see it in his body language listening, and when he gave Rich his flowers at the end, it felt very emotional - like he spoke to him the whole time. 1.1M views in 6 weeks. Stop acting like he's a self made super agent. Lebron made him to be an agent, lebron surrounded him with the best advisers, lawyers who actually know the technical and legal aspects of contract and negotiations.
