It would be informative to hear who had these artifacts and how and who they changes hands from over the years. It's remarkable that someone kept these items for over 150 eears.
I have my great great grandfather father’s 1851 colt’s navy revolver and his confederate army jacket / upper uniform and leather holster belt with csa brass buckle on it. The jacket is a bit ruff being stored in the attic for years with mouth damage in spots and out right age but my question is how would I go about sending this stuff to America battlefield trust or if someone from can direct me to a good museum to donate it to being my health is not been the greatest in my old age.
Didn’t Tiffany make a sword for the field too? A rather plain looking sword? I think I saw on Pawn Stars. It looked so plain that they wouldn’t believe it was a Tiffany.
Birney got the chest and then died a few months later. Wonder if the chest is cursed Wheaton was an interesting fellow. An Ivy leasguer who wound up a career military officer, though not a west pointer. Considering how long it took to get to division command during the war, and even then took a superior to be KIA, i wonder if he was just unpopular as he seems to have been competent.
Thank you gentleman!
Really cool stuff. Wild Birney won the vote.
Always love a good artifact video. 🙂
Wish they took the time to show more or the items up close & in complete detail.
Excellent collection of artifacts, thank you!!

I've been there. It is an amazing place.
Thank you for this peek at Civil War militaria. Just a suggestion. It would be better for the viewer to have more close ups of the artifacts.
Hoping my visit in July will not be my last. So much to see and take in.
Thank you for sharing these pieces.
Was the Jefferson Davis saddle case waterproofed in some way? Is there a record of his captured belongings? Are they still inside the case?
APPRECIATE YOU! Really enjoy the artifact series!!
What was that other thing on the table they did not get to ?
Many thanks!!!

Museums have tons of this old junk. Pass it along to someone in your family. Find distant cousins if necessary.
Thanks for sharing! AWESOME ARTIFACTS!

1800’s rebel
Axtually pronounced. “Hettisburg.” 🤓
