    Thanks for the introduction to Middle East and Asian metal bands. I have been listening to a few for some time but I am always searching for new exceptional musicians and vocalists from across this planet. Keep updating your music recommendations as I want to know more and listen to next level music.

    Thx for all the tipps! I love metal and Middle Eastern music. I hope we will hear more bands in the future, that will combine these two aspects. Middle Eastern scales are perfect for making metal music. They sound mythic, arcane and dark. Despite that, there still are not many Middle Eastern Metal bands. On the other hand, the metal universe is full of bands that combine northern traditional music with metal.
    Long story short: I would love to hear more desert in metal!
    If you think so too, you could also check out the band "NAWATHER".

    As a tunisian Metalhead I can tell you that the biggest influence of myrath was the band Symphony X, especially at their beginnings (the album Hope)....they started as a Cover band for symphony X with the name Xtasy

    Nice! Never checked Therion out, might do that now.
    You'd probably like to check out Aeternam, Shades of Black, Shokran, Akhenaten and Khepri, and then maybe Scarab, Narjahanam, Al-Namrood, Khepra, Melechesh, Nile, Stratovarius has Middle-Eastern sounding soung "Babylon", and I think "Alexander the Great" by Iron Mask has this atmosphere as well!

    Nice video.
    I'm looking for metal bands that use a lot of traditional Middle Eastern melodies in their songs. Like Myrath, Riverwood, Khepri, Orphaned Land, Nawather,...
    I'm not a Black/Extreme Metal fan. I'm looking for melodic bands with a strong influence of Middle Eastern traditional melodies. Any suggestions?

    adding them to my playlist but I have a question when listening is it an album experience or a single experience meaning should I listen on shuffle or play as a series? thank you

    • @metalground212
      @metalground212  2 года назад

      Oriental or middle eastern metal is a sub genre of folk metal. It has a lot of symphonic elements and so many bands had adopted this thematic on single songs, albums, or in the case or Orphaned land and Myrath the type of music they produce entirely as a band. The playlist I created has single songs And whole albums with this thematic it includes bands like Nightwish, with two songs in this style, ignea on their first album only, but myrath and orphaned land make every album on this style. Maybe you can play it at random and add to your personal playlist whatever songs you like, I hope this was helpful and thank you for watching!

    • @metalground212

      They are actually categorized as Oriental metal. It is not about where they are from but about the style of music they produce.
