Never thought I'd be hyped about a paint line lol. But seeing all of the effort and care from so many people that it took to make these is a great change from the normal corporate attitude. Really looking forward to getting some.
I'd love it if there were small box sets for each of the flexible triads, so you could buy e.g. all six blues in one, but I understand that would be a ridiculous number of SKUs to maintain.

I agree with this (see my comment from earlier) ! This would be the best way of purchasing them. This is something that Copic markers does and it works very well.
That paint station... The person who had this idea deserve a correct handshake and a true "thanks a lot". That's such a great idea. Maybe add a smaller paint station in the complete set? Like 10 spots for the paints we currently need to use ?
Wow. I'm truly impressed that they managed to keep their MSRP per bottle on their premium line lower than Citadel AND still have 18ml bottles: 50% more than the 12ml Citadel pots, plus the benefit of having the superior design of a dropper bottle - with an agitator inside! That's a tremendous value. Bravo!
I think Citadel is £2.75 per bottle and these paints are £3.00 so they do cost slightly more than Citadel paints in the UK but like you say it's more paint and probably higher quality than Citadel. Citadel paints are great quality, beating them on quality for this price is a big achievement!
Citadel is $4.55 for 12ml pots, and these are $4.25 for 18ml bottles.
Citadel is 3.60 Euros for 12ml pots, and these are 3.50 Euros for 18ml bottles.
The only place Citadel pots are cheaper than AP Fanatics bottles is in Britain herself, because GW's internal GBP exchange rates are delusional - and they still lose out drastically on price per ml.
I fully expected the price to increase based on all the work you guys did but the price is still great
Not going to lie. As a retired pro-painter, (I did commissions and eBay rescues for about 5 years full time and kept a few clients till I got too sick to work.) I avoided yalls paints for several reasons for a long time. But from what I have seen about these paints, you have addressed all of them. Plus you did so without cranking the price through the roof. I am very impressed and I look forward to putting these through their paces when they come to market! I appreciate a company that addresses their weaknesses and strives to do more for their clientele. Keep it up y'all, deliver what you promise with these and you may have a new cheer leader! LoL.

Definitely agree. I’m really excited about the flexible triads, and could see boxed sets built around linked or complementary shades a great way of growing a complete collection without duplication. One thing that has bothered me in the last few years of collecting over 2000 paints is that while boxed sets represent the best value, I’ve ended up with nearly 200 duplicate paints. A clever way of building up sets, then, would avoid these frustrations 😅

I think the mega set as well as the most wanted set is a pretty good combination and a deal color wise
Got back into miniature painting after 30 plus years, did my due diligence on paints and came across army painter. Haven't looked back. Looking forward to the new Complete Fanatic box set. 🤘🤘

Further to this, the price model for this new line is astounding. I love the passion you guys have for the product, but I personally would be happy to pay a little bit more, just so you guys can not only stay afloat, but also advance your R&D in the near future. ❤

I love how transparent Army Painter is, it really shows how you care about your customers and want to have a valuable product that's not just trying to maximize profit at the cost of your customers. I've slowly been switching my paints over, and with Fanatic I think I'll push AP products even more in the future.

I was looking at the pre-release complete set price of $700 Canadian, and damn, that's a lot of money to drop at once.
But when you do that math, that's just $3.24 per bottle, and that's a great price for paints.
Been a huge army painter guy since I started painting over 2 years ago. Love what you guys do and always look forward to new colors and paint lines.
a price change was expected since every other brand has also raised their prices, but these new Nightgoblin Fanatics paints are something I'll be checking out when they come. I especially like the mega triads since it means less guessing for what colors are menat to go together :)
So hyped for this new line. I already loved the speedpaint and the first warpaints mega set was great when I got back to the hobby and had to start over !

What a fantastic time to be in the hobby. Have loved the whole media release project. Informative and building that enthusiasm for the release. Great work on growing the brand awareness and especially on those Fanatic paints. If people collect paint like they collect plastic, better be prepared for the onslaught on release day.
Just as I mentioned, a set with the most vibrant main colors would be a good starter! Similar to AK intense colors set. Keep up the great work!
They look like awesome paints :) I'm certainly going to pick up a box to give them a try. Your old warpaints were pretty good, but, if these new ones are as high quality as your speedpaint 2.0 line is then I'm sure it will be an excellent addition to my paints.

Having got back into the hobby this year my wife treated me to the ap speedpaint vers 1.0, I heard alot of bad things reactivation etc but I found a way to work with this and have since expanded my ap products I use, really like the ideals of this company and I hope you keep it up, looking forward to these paints

Got back imto miniature painting 4 years ago after a 20 year gap. Have been using your paints and speedpaints since then, first vecause it was a inexpensive way to get back in on what you need and then because the paints convinced me. I really am looking forward to these new paints... and tbh the complete set is looking fancy to me
Really hoping these will also be sold in the "triad" sets! Would be much easier to collect over time.
I absolutely don't need more paint but it's awesome to see the passion for bringing Army Painter paints to the front runner of paints, who knows maybe in time I will need to get these if they are as good as the passion and promotion is.
I switched from cheap craft acrylics to your D&D line of paints years ago when I wanted to get more serious about painting. Over the years my collection has grown to the SpeedPaint 1.0 Mega set, the Complete Airpaints set, and the latest addition has been the Complete SpeedPaint 2.0 set. The thing I love about Army Painter is that I truly feel like my money and myself as a hobbyist are being respected. While I don't have an immediate need for the Fanatic line, it looks absolutely fantastic and perhaps something to put on the Christmas list next year. :)

Totally excited for the pre-order to open up for the complete set in January! I started with the d&d line of paints 3 years ago and bought every set there was. Now those bottles are almost empty and this will be an excellent replacement for hopefully even longer!

I bought the complete Warpaint set around 2018 and also the complete Speedpaint 1.0 collection when it was released. I liked your pricing and because of that, I never stopped using Army Painter even with all the known issues. Also, I always preferred Army Painter accessories over the competition. Same with most of the basing stuff. I'm proud today to see how the company evolved. Can't wait for the release of the new line. Even if it will rend my whole acrylic paint obsolete, you have my money ;) But the real question remains...how can I get the coffee mug?...
gonna get that mega set... i have so many GW paints but no where to place them.. this will be a great start to change into armypainter !

I'm super excited about the new paints, but...
I really wish there were some inbetweeners between the Mega and Complete set. 175€ is a reasonable expense to handle, but to front 699€ is...tough. The old complete set was 124 paints, and was consequently about half the price, which was much easier to swallow.
I'd love to see "upgrade packages" you could buy at the 175€ level to increase your collection without having to buy doubles.
You should watch the video, the Most Wanted Set will be a great way to extend your range without duplicating colours. And, once we get through this initial release, I think you could expect more complimentary sets to be released. ;)
Yes, I noticed that on the first playthrough ;). Although I'm only speaking for myself, I think having a clear upgrading path towards obtaining the triads from the get go would be awesome. It would make it feel more "attainable", especially if your finances can't handle a 699€ purchase. The most wanted set is a good start, and I'll defintely be looking to obtain one :)
