- During its six-season run, the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN presented a variety of stories that featured a range hard-hitting crime dramas, tales of science fiction, and human interest stories. And some were designed as just plain fun for the kids. Filmed in 1956, "Mr Zero" featuring Billy Curtis as a man from Mars who was exiled to Earth for being too small was obviously designed as one of those "just plain fun for the kids" stories. It also taught a few lessons about kindness and acceptance. Along with Billy Curtis (who had previously appeared in "Superman and the Mole-Men," the cast included Herb Vigran and George Barrows. Vigran, too, was not new to faithful viewers of SUPERMAN ("No Holds Barred," "Jimmy Olsen Boy Editor," "Superman Week," "Blackmail," and "The Big Forget."). His show business career stretched from the 1930s to the 1980s. George Barrows appeared in only one Superman episode, but he can be seen in many other TV shows of the time including THE LONE RANGER, WHIRLYBIRDS, and STORIES OF THE CENTURY. He also appeared in the movie ROBOT MONSTER with Greg Moffett, who can be seen in SUPERMAN's "The Stolen Elephant."
The show adventure of Superman with George reeves. Who came to earth with powers to catch criminals it was awesome
That was all so adorable!
Georgie Gleep
Wonder if they get Julia child and kukla, fran, and Ollie on that box.
Mister zero also starred in high plains drifter
Why does Superman always have to break a wall? *LOL*
Bc they are meant to be broken!
@@gregorywright3012 I thought it was because the script writers said so!
He likes to make an enterance.
"Idle feminine curiosity."
Clark Kent would be cancelled for saying that today. And where would that leave Superman?
that jumped out at me too, lol

Never judge a different culture or time period by your own standards
@@hobonickel Who would dare cancel him?
So funny
Billy Curtis co-starred with Clint Eastwood in High Plains Drifter.
Does anyone know what the scripts were for the last season that never was? It would be fun to know what they were planning.
The black and white episodes were done more seriously. When it shifted to color, it seemed the episodes turned more campy, like Batman.😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s true. Seasons 1 and 2 (especially season 1)were police crime drama’s especially made for adults. Then from season 3 on, the episodes were geared more towards children.
I wish I had that power to point at people to make them freeze and stop talking
It could definitely be helpful in certain situations. But keep in mind that it's not polite to point.
Rescue..........
Hi. These videos have stirred up memories which make an old lady smile. Thank you! Was there an episode when Perry White (talking about Clark Kent) said
I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE HE GOES INTO A CLOSET PULLS OFF HIS CLOTHES AND TURNS INTO SUPERMAN?

Wow, the Martian Manhunter really let himself go...
Ele só voa pra esquerda.
Which season/episode was this? I have season one and three so far.
"Mr Zero" is episode #90 from season 5, 1956.
Regardless of the period in which it was made, this episode is - as Gary Grossman wrote in his excellent book - the low point of the series. The one thing worse than Kryptonite: a lousy story. How far they had fallen, from the high level of “Superman and the Mole Men” to this dreck! But that’s how good George Reeves was, that he could maintain his dignity even in these circumstances!
No, the dregs of the series was The Bully of Dry Gulch which tried to turn a western myth into present day reality.
This episode was sort of a variation on the mole men. Each involved morals and treating people unlike you with respect.
@@wolemai No, this episode is worse. At least The Bully was a comedy and had Myron Healey in it .
What was the target audience for this show back then ? Must have been 5 year olds. This episode was moronic
Blame Kellog's Corn Flakes. They were the sponsor.
My least favorite of all the shows. I mean this goes all the way back to like 1960 this show. Sorry it’s too weird. It wouldn’t even be a good comic book story. And they play that saucy music at one point like they know that the whole thing is so contrived and childish.
