- "All That Glitters" is the final episode in the "Adventures of Superman." Directed by George Reeves, this is a fanciful tale in which Jimmy dreams that he and Lois have all the powers of Superman ... including the ability to fly. Featured in this episode are Dick Elliott as the banker and Myrna Fahey as his secretary. Almost ten years later, Fahey appeared as Blaze in episodes 17/18 of "Batman." A couple things of note: 1) As Lois and Jimmy land at the Acme Warehouse, three landing sounds can be heard, and 2) Lois wears flats when she takes off from the bank and lands at the warehouse, but wears heels to kick down the door.
Acme warehouse? Isn't that where the coyote gets all his things to get the roadrunner?
Yep
I think it was the last episode. And it all ended up being a dream
It was and you're right.
During the side by side flying scene with Jimmy, am I the only one that noticed just how voluptuous Lois's super butt is? 🤩 Too bad it's invulnerable! 😂
And if you were to pinch or pat it they'd find your head in Gotham City after she slapped you. 😍
Nope that booty is nice😘
WOOF FAAAAA WHAT A SUPERASS❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those pills were not kryptonite pills, they were LSD and Lois and Jimmy were on a acid trip thinking they were strong like Superman.
Jimmy can't fly for shit Lois Flys just like George Reeves
LOIS ALWAYS GAVE ME A HARDON WHEN SHE KICKED DOWN THE DOOR WITH ONE SUPER KICK.❤❤❤❤❤
Memories for sure, like most people,my favorite seasons are the B&W years, especially the very first two, hatd hitting and fast paced....also in this one is "Mayberrys" first Mayor from The Andy Griffith show!
I share your enthusiasm for seasons 1 & 2. Still, I like to include and enjoy all six seasons.
The last episode and among the most cringeworthy.
Lois should of gave Jimmy Olson flying lessons
Interesting if anybody noticed Lois had on heels at the lab and the bank, when flying and landing she had on flats. When she kicked the door down she was back in heels again.
The judge from that town that kept moving..
Yes, Dick Elliott was in "The Town That Wasn't." And before that he played Sam Bleaker in "No Holds Barred." And many remember him from The Andy Griffith Show.
He also made appearance in the Film Its a wonderful life.
This is Nuts😂
How was Jimmy able to dream who the gangsters were? he never saw them before. Also, he couldn't tell the difference from a dream and reality?
Methinks I'd think twice about jumping out the window of a skyscraper in the off chance that that pill's effects wore off.
One of my favorites All That Glitters- especially the end when Superman crashes into professor Pepperwinkles cabin & his machine blows up, Superman puts his arms up to protect them from the debris. I also missed the mistakes you mentioned in this episode. I would pickup on the oddball stuff like I forgot the name of the B&W episode but Clark is in an office waiting & has to change into Superman so he goes behind a file cabinet to change his clothes - ha ha,as a kid I was like how does he have enough room to change in that tiny corner? In Night of Terror I could tell there was a stand in Superman when fighting Baby Face Stevens & crooks in motel room. There’s many others of course - I also liked the dialogue in Flight to The North - when Sylvester Superman is in Margie’s fiancées cabin & sees the real Superman jump in the air & fly. Sylvester(ChuckConnors) looks shocked then says to Steve - hey that guy just jumped into the air & kept on going - Steve replies why that’s unusual- Sylvester says-well ain’t it! Not sure if I got it all correct-but that was golden. Later on Sylvester tells Superman something like Mr. You ought to be careful flying around up there. Thanks for this video.
When Lois reads the bank wrapper, she says the First National Bank. When they get to the bank, the man refers to it as the Fifth National Bank.
I missed that, Bill. I wonder how many other things have slipped by me.
He also offered Lois and Jimmy some money. He's obviously insane.
Both the numerical error and Jimmy being offered money are easily explained as just part of Jimmy's dream and how he sees the world.
Hence the comment about the bars in the window only being used at night.
That's Bidenomics for you😅
The secretary at the bank is Myrna Fahey who went on to play Maria Crespo in the Zorro TV series.
I share the enthusiasm of others for the black-and-white episodes of the first two years; the first year (1951) is my absolute favourite. But it’s always good to have Jim Nolt share his knowledge and affinity for the entire series.
George Reeves began to fulfill his directorial ambitions with the last three episodes. Pity this one turned out to be his very last. In response to Olsen’s idiotic line, “Golly, Mr Kent, you’ll never know what it’s like to be Superman,” Kent responds, “No, Jimmy, I guess I never will.” Had I directed this, the final shot would have been a close-up of Clark Kent winking directly at the camera - perfect ending. Unfortunately, we’re stuck with a two-shot of Kent and the ever-annoying Professor Pepperwinkle!
The new season being planned would have given Reeves more opportunities to direct. Everyone said how much he looked forward to it. Hopefully the scripts would have been better!
It's always fun to think about and then apply our own thoughts into the episodes. Today's fans probably give more thought to the set up and execution of scenes than anyone connected with the series at the time. That's not a criticism of them by the way, but a word of praise to those of us who continue to watch, enjoy, and wish there had been more. My greatest wish, however, will always be that we could have told George Reeves exactly how much his efforts were appreciated.
The color episodes were not as good as the Black and White episodes. The only colr episodes I enjoyed were those with Proffessor Pepperwinkle.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lois ain even loose her hat. That’s a classy lady now.
The pill also changed her heels to flats so she could stick the landing.
THE SM OF THE 50'S. WAS FUNNY&GOOD. HERE U GOT THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN THE 🌎. BUT HE'S NOT USING HIS POWER TO B RICH AS C.K. & NO I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT DOING CRIMES. SM WAS EVERY KID HERO. BACK THEN. BC HE WAS A FANTASY CHARACTER. WITH FUN&COOL POWERS. FLYING, VERY STRONG &FAST, CAN'T B HURT... VERY GOOD EYES&EARS&SUPER BREATH... BM MAY BE COOLER. BUT SM IS FUN. So....... take kryptonite to gain Superman powers, also gain his weaknesses and die of kryptonite poisoning. 😂

Jack Littlefield, who played Elbows, was also in four other episodes. 😃

- Divide and Conquer (1958) ... Jail Guard
- Close Shave (1957) ... Mickey Bragg
- The Town That Wasn't (1957) ... Joe
- The Unlucky Number (1956) ... Boots
Jimmy with super powers ... changes into dress in 2 sec .. 😊😅😂
It definitely is a BIG difference between yesterdays acting and todays acting.
that gold has gone from 2 million to 148 million
Lois did a better job of flying. She had rock hard abs.
Lois should of lifted up buildings❤
How come her hat didn’t fly off?
When she got super powers her boobs should of became Zzzz cups
