PSA***** KEV of Kaveman Aquatics is one of the best fishtubers around. My man has some of the best content out there. He is extremely articulate and explains things so clearly you can't go wrong following his advice. Just watch a couple vids and I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you for all your hard work Kev, you are the MAN!!!!! Or KAVEMAN specifically. Everyone else like and share, not only helps my man here, but you will be doing a great service to anyone with their tanks!!!
Thank you Darth, you are the real MVP! 😊💪
@@KaveManAquatics not even close to your level, but thank you bro.
Couldn’t have said it better myself
Agreed. Found him because I want a cichlid tank and his knowledge overall for any fish keeping has been great!
The BEST Period.
As a retired former educator, your grasp of your FIELD OF INTEREST/CONCERN IS BOTH" EXPERTISE & TENACIOUS" respectively; and your PERSONAL DEMEANOR WOULD MAKE YOU AN EXCELLENT TEACHER IN ANY AREA OF CONCENTRATION THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ! Your videos are SUPERB.
Wow, thank you! Really appreciate that. I've been told I'm a natural teacher ever since starting the channel, never realized it myself. Thanks again for that great feedback! Glad you're enjoying the channel.
As a retired student I agree with the reited educator.....YOU DA MAN BRO
What he said if only my teachers were as good as you maybe I’d be more accomplished today. Who knows?
I want to tell you thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether you read this or not, I’m not sure. But you saved my fishes life. My ammonia went sky high after a PetSmart employee told me to get rid of my filter while treating for Ich in my tank. He didn’t tell me to just remove the carbon, he said “Throw your filter out. When you are done treating Ich, replace with a new one.” That put my tank at deathly high ammonia. One of my fish (a dwarf gourami who has always been a happy fish) quickly started declining and he was stressed, extremely sick, and I didn’t think he would live. I found out that I needed to put a filter back in my tank, and followed your steps exactly. Did 80% water change with prime and stability. I will continue adding those until no ammonia shows. THANK YOU so so much for saving my fish. My gourami is happily swimming again. My other fish are definitely looking happier now too. You are so awesome and I will spread your name to every person who is interested in getting fish, or just simply need help.
Love feedback like this! Thank you so much, Im glad I was able to help save your guys. Sometimes new members to the hobby get bad information from uneducated "pet store employees". Glad you were able to find the channel and react quickly to get your tank safe! And thank you for spreading the word about the channel, really appreciate that! 😊💪
Glad your fish made it! I had similar experience with Ich few months ago. Kept filter running but I didn’t follow all the right steps. Water hasn’t been right since. Only lost one fish. (My fave😳)
Stability and Prime are great. I also got coral chips to put in my filter for raising ph naturally for my Africans.
Our tanks are such delicate ecosystems. The smallest change can mess everything up. I am also treating for ich. I only took the activated carbon out, but that was enough to throw off the whole balance. I've been checking water every morning during treatment and ammonia spiked to 4.0 ppm yesterday morning. I haven't had any ammonia in my tank since it's been cycled, so this was quite a shock. Thank you for sharing your success story. It gives me hope. I will follow his advice in the video and hope that my tank rebounds as well as yours.
Never listen to Petsmart. They are awful! I rescued two bettas because they don’t know how to properly care for fish! I even reported the local store to PETA because there were several dead bettas in cups
Im a first time fish owner. This video saved my betta fish's life! Thank you so much!

Hey Kev, greetings from Singapore 🇸🇬. I just did my water change(probably more than 80%) which then affected my oscar fish. He was stressed out, lying sideways. After watching your video and introducing the Prime and Stability to the tank. He’s all healthy and back to normal now. Thank you for the video. God bless
So glad to hear that bro! Thanks for watching from Singapore!! 😊💪
So I am one of those noobs who got a tank, filled it, put in chemicals and then the fish. I've had so many deaths because the ammonia was just up the wazoo. Just had two more fishies pass - my electric green glowfish cories. Found your videos by chance and after watching several, just started the Seachem prime/stabilizer treatment. Fingers crossed that it works. Following instructions to the tee. Thank you for making these wonderful videos.
My pleasure! Glad you're finding the channel helpful. 😊

@@KaveManAquatics I ended up having to do an 80% water change because my ammonia levels wouldn't go down otherwise. It's currently at .5 or lower (hard to tell with the colors). No nitrites or nitrates. Do I need to continue the Seachem treatment (which I have been doing all along) until I see the nitrates/ites before I can add more fish? I have a 10 gallon with only 5 fish in it right now.
THANK YOU!! This is a bit embarrassing, but I struggled as a new tank owner with ammonia for 7 months straight!!! There was no light at the end of the tunnel...until I found this video! With this method it took me about a month, but I could steadily see the ammonia levels drop a little each week. I also started a new tank with this method at it was an amazing difference starting with your tips, rather than playing catch up. This video is truly the BEST on this subject matter!
Thank you Elan, So glad I could help! 😁
I just watched one of your videos that said to NOT Do a water change if you have an ammonia spike because you need ammonia for the Bacteria to grow. So use prime & stability. Now I’m watching this video and you are saying to DO a 50% to 80% water change. WHICH IS IT ??
Thank you! Its still a little early to tell but I think this video saved my last three fish. I have had my tank for more than a year. I changed salt and they started dying over the course of two weeks. All my levels were good (except I didnt test for ammonia :( ) and PH rose some, but still with in parameters. I had only added one fish the week before all this. I am still not entirely sure why my amonia spiked but it was through the roof and this rememdy has already lowered it a lot. With any luck my last three guys will survive!
How long did it take for the levels to drop?
Exactly how I dealt with a cycle crash on my 55 gallon. Luckily it’s hardy community fish. It took me so much research to figure these steps out. Great job putting this out there for everyone. Too many people just say to keep doing water changes. The stability and prime, and leaving it alone while dosing are key.
Thanks Amanda, appreciate the positive feedback 😊

Thanku so much I subscribed..liked ..and shared!! Look forward to more videos. If u get this message could u please tell me if u can switch out your media cartridges rinsing them in aquarium water then save them for later ..
My pleasure! Very glad I could help! Not sure what you mean about saving them for later. But using and switching cartridges is not a good thing. Theres a better way to ensure your filter stays in the best condition to keep your tank cycled. Watch this - ruclips.net/video/unlFewmTrBw/видео.html
You saved my fish! I tried everything, before I found your RUclips page. I bought API ammo-lock, and then bought nitra-zorb. Nothing lowered my ammonia, until I found you. I did exactly what you said and now my ammonia is gone! Before I found your page, I tried for a whole month to get rid of the ammonia. By following your instructions, I got rid of it in a week! Thank you so much!
Hey man just wanted to take a second to thank you for making these videos. What I've seen is the majority of other RUclipsrs make every video into a long drawn out explanation of anything and everything besides the title of the video. So thank you for getting to the point.
lol, I know what you mean bro! Thanks for that positive feedback, glad you're enjoying the channel!
Hi! I cannot thank you enough for your videos. I stumbled upon them when I suffered new tank syndrome. 😢 I lost a lot of red belly cichlids. BUT I purchased your prime and stability 👍. If I understand you correctly I add them and then add a cap full of each daily. Then drain and refill 50% of the tank weekly and clean the fx4 monthly in its own medium. Again TY for all that you do 👍
Glad you found the channel and are finding it helpful! 💪 When cycling, you want to dose the prime and stability daily but dont do any water changes until the cycle has completed. Filter cleanings are done based on a few different factors including your specific bio-load in the tank.

Ughhhh I added three otocinclus fish to my 40 gallon tank with my two bettas. I never had a problem with ammonia until those little jerks came in. I lost two otos, but I’m not the upset since they spent more time mating than cleaning! I won’t replace them because I felt they did more harm than good and I cleaned so many of the aquarium decor to get rid of their eggs. Now I realize I killed off all the good bacteria by doing that! 😫. Also, fasting my bettas won’t work. The day I fasted them is the day the two of the three otos mysteriously disappeared. The female betta looked very full the following two days so I think she ate them. I can’t find their remains but that also could be why I have an ammonia spike. Good info in this video! Thank you!
Yes that is very possible. I dont keep bettas but I've always heard you're only supposed to keep 1, for this exact reason...I could be wrong though.
Your content is on point. I've had aquariums since I was 10 years old and I'm 58 now and your information is on point 👌 👍 keep up the great work everyone should listen to your content so they can learn and understand exactly what you share God bless. Excellent!!!

Thats awesome!! Glad I was able to help! 😊💪
Thanks for simplifying things. Theres so many products on the market that having this video quickly narrow them down is a godsend! Also after the water change when is the best time to check the ammonia levels again?
Thanks, glad you found it helpful! Wait about an hour after the change and you can retest. Keep in mind...the prime is only going to detoxify the ammonia so it’s safe for the fish...but your test may still pick it up.
Thank you for breaking this down for us newbies! I’ve been googling info all evening trying to figure out why ALL my fish died and your video is the first one that actually makes sense! Just subscribed! Will be watching more!

Hey kev! I really appreciate all of the work you been putting to help us all, not only beginners but experts in the hobby as well! I have some concerns about my African cichlids such as my ammonia around 0.5- 1ppm , nitrite .50 and nitrate 5.0. My tank isn’t cycling properly now. Also any reasons why they are rubbing their bodies on substrate and river rocks? Please help me kaveMan!
The ammonia and nitrite is irritating them, and also poisoning them. Follow the steps in this vide to make your water safe for them while your tank cycles.
I did a fishless cycle. I added ammonia into the tank, starter bacteria and waited for about a month, until the ammonia went down to 0. Then I added new fish to the tank, and after about 3 days the ammonia went up to around .25ppm. I did not overstock the tank. I only have 6 small neon tetras and 4 cory. I did 50% water change, added more beneficial bacteria and still reading ammonia in the tank. Going to try your suggestion.
Great video very informative i use to be that guy who would see a dirty fish tank and would just wash everything like new I thought i was doing the fish a favor how foolish i was lol
Lol We were all there at one point...great part of this hobby is the growth in knowledge 💪
KaveMan Aquatics i didnt even know about seachem stability this video came out right on time I recently upgraded to a 40 breeder and im guessing the biofilter couldnt handle the added fish cause i was getting some ammonia readings on my test. I just picked up some seachem stability and added tons more plants also did a 30% water change hopefully the ammonia levels go down when i test the water tomorrow. For the most part tho the fish seem happy so im not to worried about it.
@@PhilipJFry-tm9ve Glad I could help! If you do have some ammonia readings dose with the prime until your bacteria catch up to the new bio load

I had to a comment today, as i am pleased to say after a few days of 0.5-1.0 Ammonia levels, New Tank, big population of Fish, using old Filter from previous Tank and Installed Plants), i came across this Tutorial, i followed it exactly but due to my levels of Ammonia, i did a 30% water change. i tested the water after completion, and i'm pleased to say the Ammonia Value is zero. As i had 0.5-1.0 Ammonia levels, the fish were behaving normal, and there were no poisoning symtoms i.e red gills or gasping for air etc. Great Video and i would recommend it to any one with the Ammonia Syndrome.
Glad you commented! And I’m glad I was able to help get your tank where it needs to be! Thanks for the positive feedback! 😊💪
If the ammonia spikes even more even with less feeding in the week of adding prime and stability, do we change the water during the week? Or do we wait it out till exactly 5 to 7 days?
Wait it out, even if it spikes the daily dose of prime will detoxify it keeping the fish safe. You don't want to water change in between because then you'll remove the stability you've been adding.
Great question btw!
Thanks for answering kav !!! I have been doing daily 20 percent changes Everytime it spikes and I guess that’s why my cycle isn’t complete.
Exactly! You’re resetting the bacteria bloom...use this method, 2 weeks tops and you’ll be good to go!
I'm in a very big trouble right now. Some weeks ago I had to move to another apartment and I already had 10 gallon tank with around 35 fishes in it. I know , a lot, but my tank was cycled already with a lot of plants, so it was able to deal with all the ammonia and nitrates. So I took all my fishes out, all my decorations, plants, filter sponges and drift wood from my old tank trying to keep all the beneficial bacteria alive. I set up deep substrate aquarium adding old filters, plants, driftwood but new stones and sand instead of gravel. And I started cycling this tank again with all the fishes inside (I don't have another tank big enough to keep them there during the cycle). So I introduced my fishes, added beneficial bacteria it tablets and in several days my water was crystal clear and water parameters were completely fine. And then I noticed that in one place my tank started to sink. Maybe was demaged in process or during the transportation, who knows. I lost my job and nearly started to work in another company, so I had no money for another tank to buy, so the only option I had is replacing all the silicone. It was cheaper. So I removed everything again, fixed my tank replacing all the silicone and set up everything once again. I did everything as before, added bacteria, but I don't know why this time it didn't work. My water got cloudy like milk, then brown and ammonia level got very high killing 2 fishes and damaging others, especially rasboras harlequin. I stopped feeding my fishes 2 days ago, replaced 50% of water 2 times with antitoxin. Water is still cloudy but the ammonia level got much lower (7) fortunately. The problem is that I have a lot of fishes and I have no choice but cycling the aquarium with them inside, but it's extremely hard to do. Or wait and in some time to buy bigger tank? Maybe adding additional filtration will help or I really don't know
Let’s goo!!🤙🏻

Hey Kev, i switched from a 35 Gallon Tank to a 75 Gallon Tank and I have had it for about a month and a half now and it is still showing Ammonia. Your info makes a lot of sense as to why my tank is still like this. I never introduced any Ammonia first before adding my fish and I didn’t seed it with any of my old tank decor/filter or anything like that. I have made sure to use an Ammonia Detoxifier while I wait for the biological filter to be setup so my fish is safe. I am following your steps as of today and just did a 60%-70% water change and added SeaChem Prime and Stability. With your steps, you said to do this everyday for 7 days. My question is, on the Stability bottle it says use 1 capful for every 20 gallons daily for 7 days which I will do. For the Prime though, it says nothing like that. How much Prime should I add daily? Still the 1 capful every 50 gallons? Or do I do less since I would have added some the previous day? Can you add too much Prime?
Prime is pretty safe and hard to over dose, but you don’t need to add prime everyday. Just add the prime once after your water change. Dose the amount for the full volume of the tank. But continue to dose the stability everyday 👍
@@KaveManAquatics I am a little confused as you said in your video to dose the tank with Prime and Stability for 1 week as to get rid of the ammonia in it.(2:09)Then check your water parameters and if it still repeats to do a water change a repeat the process again as mentioned in your video. Please clarify....Thanks in advance.
Brother, thank you for the advice to get a test kit in a previous reply. I got an ammonia test kit and tested my cloudy water - holy cow, it was at 8ppm. I went into emergency action, followed the steps in your video exactly, and reduced it down to 3ppm tonight. That was really scary but a good lesson. Thank you for your clear, informative and effective video. Appreciate the help :)
Glad I could help! Continue dosing prime and stability daily until you reach 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and small amounts of Nitrate. At 40ppm of nitrate do your first water change.
Jesus loves you
Amen brother
@@lilyabbey1619 Amen. More need to know this.
Thank you for this video. I just moved out my wood in my tank to add plants on it. Before my water was reading ammonia, nitrites and nitrates all at 0. After doing I did a water change and place the wood back in my tank my reading went up the roof. Ammonia and nitrites both at 0.25. Nitrates 5.0.. amazing if you do anything to your tank. Check your water parameters. Cause you never know..
The other week I let my toddler and one of his friends feed my angel and they legit jumped a handful of food into the tank. I didnt realise this would turn tp ammonia, hes my first fish. A hobby group told me it was likely ammonia poisoning and thats when it clicked. I did this for his tank tonight but I'm worried it's going to be too late for him
He hasnt eaten for 5 days. Hoping for the best. Anyway, thank you for this video because ita the first confident move I've made since I noticed he was sick 🙏
@@katinaelle hope things went well if its still an issue i would recommend doing big water changes but try keep it under 50 percent as this may crash the cycle if u do more then add some beneficial bacteria like api quick start or fritz zyme 7 and fast ur fish for however long suits ur situation hope it goes well!
@@Uplifted100 Hey thank you so much for taking the time to write to me! Unfortunately, my little dude didn't make it. @@katinaelle Really sorry to hear that. Yea it depends on the type of infection but maybe taking the sand out and washing or even replacing as much as u can isnt a bad idea as i did a bit of looking and apparently in some cases it can carry pathogens anyways good luck for the future! Dont give up!

But I am still testing my water and it’s around .25 to .50. For the past couple days I have been doing 50% water changes and about a 1/4 of the gravel being vacuum so I don’t cause more harm. The biggest kicker is that the ammonia is literally not going down at all. I also have zero nitrites and nitrates in my tank too. My fish are skimming so I know that my water is bad and that I don’t just have a faulty test kit. I am about to do another 50% water change and finish vacuuming the rest of my tank gravel which I hope works. I really don’t want them to die and I’m trying all I can but nothing is working. So if you or anyone reads all this please help me out🙏
P.S.
I also only feed the two when I wake up and go to bed and it’s literally only a couple sprinkles and none drops to the bottom.
I also have only had these two fish that are left for a little over a month now
Your constant water changes arent helping your tank cycle. By removing water, you remove the ammonia the bacteria need to grow in order to cycle your tank. You need to leave that ammonia in the tank but detoxify it with Seachem Prime in order to keep the fish safe. If you follow the directions in this video to a T, your tank and fish will be fine.
Thanks Kev. Im not new to fish keeping, but I am to my new 200L tropical. Just added 2 more africans but noticed I got an ammonia spike (.25). was trying to work out why and then it hit me.... I removed a big pirate ship I didnt want in the tank anymore and added some dragon rock. Running through the prime show, stability and monitoring. Just wanna say thanks for ya Vid. Its good to know Im doing the right thing. keep up the good work pal. Love ya vids :):):)
Thank you! Glad you're finding the channel helpful! 😁💪
@@KaveManAquatics tested again last night. 0 ammonia. 5ppm nitrate 😎👌💪
Just did this process after almost giving up...and yes, I added a bunch of fish at the start of the tank. After the 80% water change and the prime/stability spike.... back to 0 amonia... thanks for the tip, priceless
My pleasure!! Glad I could help! 😁💪
I subscribed to the channel on this video alone!! - Straight to the point

just got 5 cardinal tetras and put them in with my beta fish. did a water test and i had ammonia in the tank which i never had before, i was wondering what had happened but this video helped alot. thanks mate 👍
Thank you again, this actually was exactly what my tank needed and now I am at zero ammonia. We are new tank people and have managed to kill at least a dozen little fish in the last couple weeks, I’m trying to keep the last four alive and right now they look awesome. We have 3 black mollies and a beautiful black and blue betta.
Your explanation are so precise. I added about 30 cichlids to a already established aquarium but lost around 20 the next morning. I am not an expert but all the small fishes survived so was struggling to find out what caused it. Stumbled across a few vids who all say the same thing about ammonia spike when adding a bunch of fish at the same time😥. Lesson learned. Great video man keep up the good work.
Thank you bro! Sorry for that loss but in this hobby sometimes we learn the hard way. Now that you know though, you'll never let that happen again! 😊
Thank you for aiming straight to the point of saving lives aquarium fishes… I have been reading, researching online, watching people taught lots of chemistry of how to keep my aquarium healthy, and it just made me more stupid with chemistry and saving my fish. Every of your video explains exactly what I have to do to save my fishes. You help alot of people including me and the fishes to thrive… thanks again
My pleasure bro! Glad you're finding the channel helpful! 😊💪
It is to be noted that adding seachem prime will react with API ammonia test kit so it may be difficult to get accurate NH3/NH4 readings.
Thanks for the info!
I used to when I had a 76 gallon tank, used to on weekends, go through the vacuuming of the substrate, and clean the filters, just a rinse, and leave bilogical media alone other than rinse, and things were great for a long time, natural plants and all..... tested water once a week after filtering and cleaning had time to clear up, and then all of a sudden, and was careful of it, but had a natural log thing for the little guys to use, but all of a sudden, looked in after work one day and water is yellowish, and total effing snail outbreak everywhere. Had to find as many snails as I could, scrap the log, 80 percent water change, lost a couple of fish, but saved most.... man, I was religious about getting rid of the little pond like snails, But damn, that happened so quick. Took a couple weeks of close attention, closer than usual, but all got better, but was a bugger.
Hey man thank you so much for this info, this video saved the rest of my fish.
My pleasure bro, glad I could help! 😁💪
Brilliant timing! Brilliant advice!
Quick informative!!
Thanks Kaveman
My pleasure! Glad you're finding the channel helpful 😁
I’ve recently started my first tank using API quick start. Your videos have helped me so much. I don’t look anywhere for information. So thank you! Also your fish are beautiful!
Thats awesome! So glad I've been able to help! 😊
One of the best ammonia videos on here!! Ty Kev!!!
Thank you! Glad you're finding the channel helpful! 😁💪
We have started in the hobby for 6 months now and we have lost a few of our fish family along the way, which was very sad and made me want to give up. So I would just like to say how grateful we are to have found your very very helpful and informative videos. Also who is that gorgeous bobble in there, is that a flowerhorn fish?
Glad you’ve found the channel helpful! And I’m glad you didn’t give up 💪 No that’s a blood parrot Cichlid, his name is Gordo 😁
When I use a HOB filter with a cartridge and I remove it, I'll rub the exit side up against the intake side of the new cartridge. This help's the beneficial bacteria to get a jump start with the new cartridge.
Thank you. every time when I clean my fish tank and change a quarter of water always I have ammonia and my fish dying thank you. this video help me.
Glad I could help! 😁💪
This literally saved me I’m about to go do this . Definitely subscribing . I love my little fish 🐠
Glad I could help! 😁💪
Thanks for all the experienced insights. Learnt a lot from your vids!!!!!
Glad to hear it! 😊
Made a rookie mistake and ALMOST KILLED my two fancies! Did a 70% water replacement on a tank that hadn’t been changed in weeks ! Ammonia spiked to dangerous level so I bought the new cycle from Walmart and electrolyte salt , hopefully the get well.
Thank you! I'm relatively new but my one year old tank just had a massive spike that I didn't catch right away and I lost one of my six cherry barbs to dropsy. I'm still in the midst of trying to save the rest but four are already perking up since the first water change. It's late so I will have to get the recommended cycle starter tomorrow. I had a little bit of the ammonia-remover left so I did that too. Your description of moving decorations around, cleaning them too much and vaccumming all the substrate was definitely me during the last clean. I had left it a day or two longer than I normally do and I was frustrated with myself so gave it a big, deep clean. I even rinsed all of of my filter media when I normally alternate. It was in old tank water but I really went at it. I even started to wonder if I was killing the good stuff.
It's just surprising and frustrating to have it happen now when I thought I was finally figuring things out and it was in my main tank and not the quarantine tank where I have new fish I had been planning on adding in a few weeks. The new guys are doing great & I have been so careful about avoiding cross-contamination.
Thank you for the information, I got my 3 goldfish last week and the petsmart employee said I don't need bacteria or prime so I didn't add any. But my fish got sick super quickly, they also got water shock cause I forget to get a net and just put them in without letting them set in the bag. I might update on my comment in a few days or a week if they live or die
Thanks man. My fish have been fine for 2 years but I did an 80% change and the filter change and vacuumed and now I just had two die and all at the bottom breathing heavy. I added prime and stability but I'm going to change half the water again today and add a little more.
Just got into the hobby an your videos are by far the most helpful thanks kave👊 🍻

Thank You very much KMan ! I only rinsed the sponges , from the canister.I got to get busy , water test and so on Thanks Again db
Glad I could help!
Man you’re awesome bro helped me save multiple fish with your vids and I was able to get to them immediately straight to the point
Thanks bro! Glad I could help 😊
You’re a wizard Kev
😁
how do you don't have 1mil subs is astonishing!!can't wait to see it!!
lol, you and me both bro! Thank you! 😊
Thanks for getting right to the treatment then explaining after... your video was incredibly helpful
Thanks! Glad you noticed lol I know many videos on RUclips are very long winded 🤣
Hi! So glad I found you… your content has been helpful. If you have do another round water change with the daily dosing, should you feed your fish before doing the 2nd round? I’m 4 days in so still waiting 😀
Glad you found it too! 😊 You can feed the fish if it makes you feel better lol but very very little while the tank is cycling.
Thank you sooooo much. We did every rookie mistake known to man....I thought I had done my research, but what I found was a lot of the informing out there doesn't cater to the dumbest person in the room and it is easy to either misunderstand or only halfway pick up the information....if that makes sense. Your info was so easy to grasp....again I say thank you! We only lost one (Larry) fish out of seven....all of the others are looking great....happy! happy!
I have a question about the 80% water change. I set up my tank recently and I have lots of plants and I’m using cycled filter floss and my concern is that doing a 80% water change will get rid of most of the beneficial bacteria that has already grown? I am fairly new to the hobby and I don’t any experience in cycling tanks!!
Ok, thanks
You're welcome!
Hello, I just want to thank you, I followed your videos and my tank is absolutely beautiful.
Awesome! Glad I could help! 😁
Kev you think you could do a video on how long you should keep your lights on for our African cichlids peacocks. That would be helpful for us that are new to this hobby. Thanks bro !
I think that would be a super short video bro lol because the answer is not long. 7-8 hours or less. And that’s basically for any fish. They don’t need light, we add light so we can see them but they don’t need it. The natural light in your home is more than enough for them.
Thank you for your video bro, it really helped me gain control of an ammonia spike, I just happened to have the products you explained in the video and it worked. My level is at 0. It's a fresh tank that I assumed using existing water and filter media would keep me from risk of Spike, and it didn't. So thanks again. Merry Christmas 🎄
My tank is fine but finally a video I could properly understand, lots of other good videos out there but yours was easiest to understand for this newbie ✌ great content 🤙
Thank you! Glad you're finding the channel helpful! 😁💪
That confirms it. Too big of a water change, vacuuming and disturbing the gravel when really I need a bigger clean up crew. Hopefully I caught it early enough to save the rest of my fish with the water change. I lost a mystery snail so far and 3 other fish not looking so good
Sorry for your loss, but glad to hear you're on top of it now!
Thank you! You just saved 2 beautiful parrots. I must been on the right track seeing as I just went out and bought Stabilize to go with my Prime before seeing this video. I was just starting to second guess my decision on how to treat. I guess my tank was not cycled as I thought. I have learnt a lot from this huge mistake! I am just getting back into the hobby after a 15 year hiatus, so I am re-learning everything it seems! I have 5 tanks atm, Your advice is gulden! Thank again :)
Glad I could help keep you on the right track 🤣 Sounds like your fish are in good hands!
Awsome video as usual, the tank behind you is making me very jealous....keep up the great work.
Thanks bro, you’ll get there eventually. I used to think I would never have a tank this big 🤣🤷🏼♂️
Thank you so much my ammonia level in my

FISH GOAT...YOU GOT ME LOOKING LIKE A PRO IN 72 HOURS...I'M IN PETCO ASKING FOR EVERYTHING YOU'RE SAYING AND THE PEOPLE AT PETCO WERE LIKE 'WOW' YOU KNOW MORE THAN ME, HOW LONG ARE YOU IN THE HOBBY?' I SAID 4 YEARS...LOL
BAHAHAH 🤣🤣 Best thing I’ve heard all day!
